The Enlistment (3)

Far off from the festive atmosphere of the Dwellings, hundreds of miles away from the capital of the Empire, up on a plateau along the great mountains of Middle Kingdom were two figures of men-- one has a bulky size with ripping muscles while the other was lean and ghastly.

"Fuck the Up Landers. Fuck the Dwellings. Fuck the emperor."

"Easy, Dos. Even the cliffs may have ears. You know what fate awaits those who swear towards the royal family."

Dos swore once more. "But isn't it unfair that the Dwellings is in the Upper Kingdom and letting them gain an upper hand in this motherfucking game?" Dos grunted, kicking the rocks with his muscular foot from the edge of the cliff and watched the rocks free fall down to a surging river a hundred feet below. "Fucking Up Landers, fucking no good."

Uno, who was squatting beside him, chuckled. "I heard that Azul Valdani from Upper Land was quite a skilled guy. On par with that beast Ueno of Carsus."

That did catch Dos' attention. "You mean, that disowned bastard Ueno of the Lower Kingdom?"

Squinting his eyes as he stared at the far off distance, Uno made a sound of confirmation. Dos whistled, flexed his humongous muscles, and let out an exhilarated laughter as he beat his chest, his blood already boiling with anticipation for the coming game. When he was done, he turned his gaze towards Uno who was still looking far ahead. "Do you think they will be joining the game? I want to crush them both with my bare hands."

"Whoops. Seems like you have to rein in your blood thirst, brother. Treis is coming empty-handed again." Uno made a clicking sound with his tongue.

A rumbling sound vibrated through Dos' throats, which soon erupted into full throttled angry bursts. "I'll beat that useless bastard to death."

"On the contrary," Uno interjected, eyes still squinting. "I think he might be carrying something.

Dos spat at the ground and shoot his brother a deadly glare."You should use your stupid eyes in a more careful manner, brother. Or I'll gouge those scary looking eyes out of their sockets."

A set of milky white eyes rested on Dos as he kept thrashing the rocks from the cliff down to the river below.

"You should be careful of your words, little brother. I can see your veins, arteries, and capillaries from where I stand. I can even see the smallest artery beating in your heart right now. And I can see how that little brain of yours needs more oxygen to make up with your lack of intelligence. Shut up, dear brother, shut your dirty, stupid mouth or else I will make sure that screaming my name will be the last word you'll ever say."

Dos fell in silence but still seething with rage. He knew better than to cross their oldest brother but he just couldn't control his overwhelming anger. Dos knew that Uno definitely meant to do whatever he says.

Uno set his milky-white eyes back into the far off distance, observing the struggling Treis at least thirty miles away from where they stood. "Ooohh. Good catch. He's caught us a she-phoenix. And comely at that. Look at that long, wavy red hair. And that fine golden wings. It will only probably take us three hours of travel to the port."

This time, Dos smiled. "Hey, brother. Allow me to have my fill once we are done with her."

Uno smiled, licking his lips. "The eldest brother comes first."

Dos roared with laughter. "Then me comes second! Second!" And he laughed, his roaring laughter echoing throughout the plateau.
