Plans to Save More Than One Life

Jaime knew his death was coming sooner, than he would have liked. He wasn't stupid. He killed the son of a highborn and all without a care in the world. He could hear the guards arguing about if they should kill him now and get it over with or to wait until their king returns and watch him pass judgment.

Meanwhile Catelyn and Brienne were walking around camp looking for a certain resourceful brown haired girl. Catelyn needed a plan and she needed to get Arabella out of camp and sadly away from the north. She wanted to keep her safe, just like her husband had for all of those years. Thus the reason why she kept silent. Her companion had noticed her silence and knew that Lady Stark was deep in thought, but Brienne still listened in on the conversations around camp, until they happened around to just the person they were looking for. Amelia was within a few steps from the tent she shared with Arabella and Mystic.

Amelia kept her word to Jaime and kept closer to Arabella, which was starting to drive the pregnant lady crazy. Arabella had become a prisoner in her own tent, and with the stunt Jaime pulled it wouldn't be much longer until they turned on her. Amelia knew the man was stupid, but this was taking the cake. If Amelia could she would smack him across the face until either her hand hurt or Jaime's face was no longer recognizable, most likely the latter would make her happier. Arabella was still in the dark about the baby girl, and while Amelia wanted to tell her she didn't think it was right to. Varys was informed about the baby, and had been keeping an ear lower to the ground more so than usual about any plans the queen had to harm Arabella. This news was then going to be passed to Amelia along with a plan to get Arabella out of harm's way. Amelia didn't know who she could trust besides Arabella who had been nothing but kind, caring, and helpful while they were on the run. They formed a bond, and nothing was going to break it.

When Amelia noticed Catelyn and Brienne coming towards her she could only assume it was related to getting Arabella away and what the plan for Jaime would be. Catelyn motioned for Amelia to follow up, Amelia shook her head and motioned for her to wait. Amelia had disappeared into the tent, before reappearing. When Catelyn made a look Amelia explained that she had informed Arabella and Mystic she was leaving to talk with Catelyn, but will return and to not leave the tent for any reason whatsoever. Amelia had told Mystic to attack on site, unless it's herself or Catelyn coming in. The wolf seemed to understand and laid at Arabella's feet that were still raised up while she was laying down.

Amelia joined Brienne and Catelyn on their walk, and watched in concern about chaos that seemed to follow when men began to drink to help ease their anger.

"Your son returns at dawn, my lady," Brienne finally said, breaking the silence with Catelyn.

"So they say," Catelyn states with worry.

"The Kingslayer won't last the night. The more they drink, the angrier they'll get. And when the Karstarks draw their swords, Who wants to die defending a Lannister," Brienne continued.

"There's only two Lannister's I will fight for, and I left them both back in that tent," Amelia stated.

"Come," Catelyn beckoned the two other women with her. They both follow after Catelyn who is following behind a guard down to Jaime's cell. He was covered in blood and smelled terrible. Someone somewhere was seeing their justice done upon him.

"I need to be alone with him," Catelyn orders the guard.

"My lady, our orders-," The guard starts to argue.

"Your orders, which I just gave you, are to leave me alone with him," she ordered again. The man nods his head and walks away. Brienne blocks Jaime's escape while Catelyn and Amelia walk inside.

"Come to say goodbye, Lady Stark? I believe it's my last night in this world. Is that a woman," Jaime ponders aloud. If Arabella was here Amelia was sure she would have hit her husband with something hard for the comment.

"Do you hear them out there? They want your head," Catelyn states.

"Old Lord Karstark doesn't seem to like me," he states.

"It couldn't be due to the fact you strangled his son with your chains. I'm sure you'd want your revenge after what happened the other night" Amelia stated with annoyance.

"Oh. Oh. Was he the one on guard duty? He was in my way. Any knight would have done the same. As for the other night, I am still planning that so don't you worry that pretty little head of yours," Jaime states with an annoyance of his own.

"You are no knight. You have forsaken every vow you ever took," Catelyn snarks out.

"Not all of my vows have been forsaken. Why I'm sure I have held up to some of my weddings ones. I did not cheat on Arabella, I cherish her, and have even done many things to keep her safe. Though I will admit I failed on that part alot. As for being a knight there are just so many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the king, obey the king, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the king? What if the king massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another. Where did you find this beast," Jaime states with a nonchalant demeanor.

"She is a truer knight than you will ever be, Kingslayer," Catelyn stated, pointing to Brienne behind her.

"Kingslayer. What a king he was. Here's to Aerys Targaryen, the Second of His Name, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, and to the sword I shoved in his back," Jaime states.

"You are a man without honor," Catelyn says.

"Do you know, I've never been with any woman but Cersei. So in my own way, I have more honor than poor old dead Ned. What was the name of that bastard he fathered," Jaime questioned.

"Brienne," Catelyn says, not wanting to have this discussion.

"No, that wasn't it. Snow, a bastard from the North. Now, when good old Ned came home with some whore's baby, did you pretend to love it? No. You're not very good at pretending. You're an honest woman. You hated that boy, didn't you? How could you not hate him? The walking, talking reminder that the honorable Lord Eddard Stark fucked another woman," Jaime stated.

"Your sword," Catelyn requests from Brienne. Brienne unsheathes her sword and hands it to Catelyn. With a swipe of the sword Catelyn cut Jaime free of his bindings.

"You will return to King's Landing and send my daughters. That is what your freedom will cost," she tells Jaime.

"Brienne give him the cloak, and Ameila will grab Arabella and Mystic. You all leave tonight. I already know you have a bag packed, grab it and meet Brienne at the end of the forest. I will inform Brienne what the further plan is. Go and gather everything and meet her there," Catelyn said dismissing Amelia. Amelia nodded and left, making quick to get to Arabell and getting her out.
