Battle Of the Whisper Wood
Arabella woke the next morning with a start. The sun had not risen yet and she could feel that things were about to change and not for the good. She was afraid, but she could not figure out as to why she was. She was safe here in Rob's camp, right? Arabella rose out of the bed and placed her armor on before walking out of her tent and seeing her mother and Brienne.
"Arabella, I am going to speak with Lord Walder Frey about getting safe passage for our troops. Keep in your tent until I return," Catelyn informed.
"Yes mother. Amelia and I will keep hidden in here. We need to brew some tea anyway to help color my hair," Arabella explains.
"Of course, I will tell Rob to not worry then and focus on the battle plans," Catelyn said, "Be safe my child".
"Of course mother," Arabella said with a smile before hugging Catelyn allowing her to leave on her task.
~Hours later~
Catelyn had not expected to receive the welcome she had walking into the towers. She also didn't expect to be as grilled for questions as she was. Most of the questions surrounded Arabella and if she had been found. Catelyn refused to give up any information in fear that it would get out to King's Landing and if things don't work out here then Arabella can never return to retrieve her sisters if they were even still there.
Catelyn knew not to bet against her son, but she also knew better to go against Twyin and his armies. She knew his gold could buy many things. She also knew that Jaime would move heaven and earth to get to Arabella, especially if he knew that she was with child. She has heard the stories of Jaime in battle, and knew that Robb would have his work cut out for him if they ever met.
Catelyn saw how Jaime was when Arabella was around and in Ned's letters all he could do was talk about how much Jaime kept Arabella safe in the lands where there were lions at every corner ready to rip you to shreds. Ned had even told her of the times when he saw Jaime glaring at another when they were talking to the young girl, about, or even looking at her. She was not blind to how he felt for Arabella, but that didn't mean she had to like him. Not after what he did. He was the reason for Bran being crippled, him and his sister.
She wished she could tell Arabella this news, but she feared what it would do to Arabella in her state. She has already been under an immense amount of stress simply leaving the capital and finding out who she really is, how much more before the girl breaks. If she saw Jaime could she make him suffer as he should for what he did to her son, along with trying to murder him. She felt as if she did not have an answer and she could only pray to the seven that she would have an answer.
When Catelyn got back to camp, she met with Robb to tell her that they have been granted passage, but he would have to marry one of the Fray women of his choosing and Arya will have to marry one of his sons. Arya will have to be dealt with later, Robb of course agreed. And so began the Battle of the Whispering Wood.
Catelyn went to check on Arabella while Robb went into battle. Arabella and Ameila were still pouring black tea into a bucket so Arabella could lay her head in it and dye her hair back to as close to the color it has always been. This task was hard and took a lot of time, Catelyn was well aware of this. She stayed and helped the girls finish the project, and when they were coming back Catelyn heard the horn letting her know Robb was on the way back to the camp. Catelyn instructed Arabella to stay in the tent while she went out to meet with Robb. If only she knew what she was about to encounter and how it was about to change the way the war was going to turn out.
