You've already proven that you have no real luck. The entire events of the day have been a testament to that. You are ready to go back to your dorm room in defeat. You don't even care to collect the dollar. The only good thing that came out of playing is the fact that you are now a paying customer. The phone should be available to you.
You make your way to the counter in the center to ask about the pay phone along the wall. As it turns out, it doesn't actually cost anything to use. You have been here for far to long. You make your way to the phone.
You pick up the phone and dial out to your mother's number. She answers on the first ring. A pout comes across your lips. Were they ignoring you? Sure, you only ever really called them when you wanted money. But this time was different. You wanted food. And money. And you are broken down on the side of the road.
"Hello?" She says cheerfully.
"Ma." You croak. "I need help."
"What?" She sounds a little confused, "What number are you calling from? Where are you?"
"I'm stuck on the side of the road between The Dry Greens and Walfred. I took a turn down a side highway. I thought it would get me home faster. Anyway, my car broke down. I need you guys to come help me." You explain your entire situation to her. She is more sympathetic than your father by a long shot.
"We're on our way!" She finally declares. "Don't go anywhere!"
You could almost laugh as she hangs up. Where else are you meant to go?
And thus, you wait.
And wait.
And wait.
Feeling utterly useless and alone.
You wait.
It takes them almost two hours to find your car, but you don't care to complain. You have had a rough enough day and you just want to get out of there.
Like magic, Sheila starts right up for your father the moment he turns the engine. Typical Sheila. At least now, you can finally return to your dorm. As a complete loser.
THE END.
To Try again, return to page 1.
