"Hi, hun. Did you take your day off?" Emma found Andrew waiting for her at her apartment when she got back.

"Yeah. You didn't reply to my message. Are we popping opening the champagne or am I supposed to be hugging you and offering you ice cream right now? I brought your favourite, pralines and cream," Andrew rattled off.

"Bring both," Emma laughed.

"Just tell me," Andrew rolled his eyes.

"Well," said Emma plopping onto the couch beside him. "They said if I submit a nice enough Truth Today column worthy piece by next month, the job is mine."

"So you're half way there," Andrew tickled her.

"Hence both the champagne and the ice cream," Emma laughed.

"Right away m'lady." Andrew went into the kitchen and appeared with two glasses of champagne and a tub of ice cream with two spoons.

"No bowls?" Emma asked.

"No extra dishes to do," Andrew replied.

Emma rolled her eyes and grabbed one of the glasses. "Cheers!"

"Cheers!" Andrew raised his glass. "So do you have something specific in mind for your project?"

"Hmm, I have been thinking," Emma took a sip. "That kid in your class who killed himself. Maybe, just maybe, he was murdered. I could work on my piece with that angle. Uncover something. Something the police might have missed."

"It could be plain suicide though," Andrew mused.

"I have a feeling it isn't," Emma replied. "And it was pretty big news. If I mange to uncover something, I'm sure to get the job and make a mark."

"That is correct. But if Max was indeed murdered, then this could be dangerous for you."

"Danger is my middle name," Emma cocked her head.

"I'm serious," Emma.

"I want that job and I'm going to go to any lengths to get it. Don't you worry about me," Andrew. Emma had a stubborn streak in her and Andrew knew he wouldn't be able to change her mind. Andrew had a bad feeling about it.
