NAMHYE POV

"What do you mean? Why would you talk about how Jungkook is so calm?" I asked.

"You do know what kelpies are right? That's the sole reason we came here?" Namjoon asked and I looked at him.

"Kelpies are known to lure children and murder them by drowning them in lake. They give them horseback rides and lure them," he explained.

"Plus, kelpies are violent whenever they see a human, do you experience that?" He asked.

"No... not at all... in fact, he's not even violent," I replied.

"Weird, this man is 100% a kelpie you know. But why is that he is so calm," he muttered and Seokjin sighed.

"It's weird," I trailed off, and Namjoon looked at me.

"Why?"

"Because even if kelpies are violent, I couldn't bring myself to even hate them," I said.

"I don't know why."

"It's because you haven't seen a feral kelpie before Ms. Nam-girl. Well then, we must be getting rest soon, and keep that horse-man away from us! Who knows what kind of kids he ate," he rolled his eyes before standing up, followed by the three.

"Jungkook hasn't even done anything and he's been under my watch 24/7!" I replied, and Taehyung sighed.

"You can't hold these stupid mermen back no matter how much convincing you do," he tsks.

"Wait... how do we get up this platform?"

THIRD PERSON POV

It was already the next day and as promised, Namhye, Namjoon, Seokjin, Jungkook, Beomgyu, and Yeonjun went out to watch Taehyung's horse race tournament in the afternoon.

"WE ARE HERE TO CHEER ON MY BROTHER YOU STUPID DOOFUS! STOP OGLING THE FOOD!" Namhye scoffed as she dragged Seokjin away.

"Well, Ms. Nam-girl, who knew that human food looks weird but taste really nice?" He replied as he snarfed on the candy apples people sold outside the tournment.

There was a huge field and track for warm ups, and Namhye made sure she got good seats to cheer on her brother. Namjoon rolled his eyed as he sat beside the girl.

"I don't get why I have to come along and sit right beside this smelly sea urchin, uGh! My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable," he groaned and she glared at him.

NAMHYE POV

"I don't even trust you to eat by yourself, what makes you think I'll let you alone in the house? There's also a reason why Jungkook is here with us," I rolled my eyes and Namjoon tsks as he looks at the front.

"I have three words for that imbecile, octopus-looking, bastard. Dangerous, killing machine," Namjoon says and I sighed.

"Namjoon, you can't just call him a killing machine when-"

"You stop defending him and come to your senses, Nam the second. Jungkook is a child-eater. Kelpies never live without blood of a human," he warns.

"What are those creatures? Somehow looks like seahorses," Yeonjun says as he munches on his popcorn he pleaded me for.

"Because they are horses?"

"No way, humans have huge human version horses! Why do we not have those, Seokjin hyung?" Beomgyu gapes and Seokjin sighs.

"Beomgyu, we swim with our tails, we don't need those animals," Seokjin responds.

"Look I see Mr. Taehyung over there! He looks so happy with his black horse!" Yeonjun smiles happily as he stares at Taehyung.

"By the way Yeonjun, how was the night with Taehyung?" I asked and Taehyung and Beomgyu looks somewhere else.

"It was... interesting," Beomgyu says.

"Just ask your brother for details," Yeonjun continues and I sigh deeply as I look at Jungkook, who was staring deeply somewhere as if he was in thought.

"And on the lane number 4, Kim Taehyung! The last year's silver medalist that gained lots of popularity! His famous dark horse is also participating! Will he join his uncle in the Olympics and bring South Korea to glory?"

"GO TAEHYUNG! I'M ROOTING FOR YOU!" I screamed through the crowd and Taehyung smiled widely as he waved at me, and Seokjin clapped his hands while Namjoon crossed his arms.

"Humans are so loud. Such... horrid beings," Namjoon tsked.

As the people competing were now introduced, it was now time for them to wait for the signal.

"Hey Nam-girl, are you going to be joining the horse race too someday?" Beomgyu asked and I looked at him.

"Probably when I graduate, I'll surely get my medal soon enough!" I replied and the referee stood at the side, looked at the huge digital score board and judges, before nodding at them.

He blew a gun of smoke in the air, and that was when the horn sounded, making the horses neigh before running away, with their owners on their backs.

"I see Lane number 1 going first, that's Felix Lee to you! He's fast as lightning and has won three competitions this year so far!"

The man with the brown horse was first, and the man with the spotted horse was second, and Taehyung was currently third.

"And second is the ever so dashing, Choi Jongho and his prized horse, Robin! Look at those two go for the prize! Kim Taehyung is catching up third, and we are now about to take a turn!"

"Next we have the obstacles ready for jumping, ranging from low meters, to the highest! Let's see what are competitors would do!"

As the horses turned, it was soon time for the obstacles, the horses jumped through the hurdles one by one, and none of them tipped over.

"Woah! This year's set of seven competitors sure is giving their all with the obstacles! Now, Choi Jongho is at first with Felix Lee in second, and now Kim Taehyung as advanced to second!"

"That's right my friend, since this year's champion will earn a ticket to the Nationals to challenge on the next set of champions all around South Korea!"

"Now we have Felix Lee in first and Kim Taehyung in second! Oh, now who is gonna win? We have more laps and meters to go!"

"Is it Taehyung? Is it Felix? They're going by neck-to-neck and their almost at the finish line! The horses are starting to show their full potential to win this!"

"Who will take the gold medal today?"

The cheers were louder than ever, and as we anticipated who did win the competition.

"TAEHYUNGG," I shouted as I ran towards him, and Taehyung smiled as he looked at me, then he sighed.

"Hehe, hey Namhye, and here are the four mermen who came too," he said.

"Great job, human. But you weren't that good," Seokjin mumbled.

"And the winner is Choi Jongho who surpassed both the two competitors! What a surprise! He will be earning a ticket to the Nationals!"

"It's deifinitely fine if you get a silver medal, uncle Hoseok will be happ nevertheless even if he's busy in the city," I smiled and Taehyung rubs the back of his neck as he looks at the silver medal on his neck.

"Human, a medal is better than no medal at all," Namjoon said and Taehyung nodded.

"I know," he said quietly and we started walking home. Taehyung decided to pick Sparky off the stables at the competition tomorrow, where it's bright. The other competitors also left their horses for the night.

"I-I'm just thinking of stuff," Taehyung said quietly as we were now walking beside a railway station, and Seokjin, Namjoon and the three mythical creatures were looking at him.

"Namhye, what if uncle won't be proud?" He asked quietly, and everything went silent. Namjoon and Seokjin looked at me before nodding.

"Wh-what if I didn't do good enough? Was there something wrong? I was so close," he said and Namjoon and Seokjin looked at Beomgyu, Yeonjun, and Jungkook.

"Okay, we're going first," Namjoon said before dragging Jungkook away, as he stared at me cluelessly.

"Don't you dare-"

"I know this is a good timing to kelpienap Jungkook. But we're here for a mission to obtain him, not to kidnap him like some crazies," Namjoon explained.

"And besides... we owe you... but we're not doing this ever again you... you..!" Seokjin snarled before dragging a frightened Jungkook away, with Yeonjun and Beomgyu as they walked away.

Now, it was just me and Taehyung. And Taehyung looked down at the ground as we both stopped walking, and Taehyung clutched the hoodie he was wearing at the edge, and he sighed.

"What did I do wrong? I practiced so hard, I even did 5 hours of practice after class, I... don't know what happened," he said quietly, and I looked at him.

"Taehyung, it's not your fault. What matters is you worked hard and had fun," I replied.

"But it does matter! I didn't win a gold medal, and I want uncle to be proud of me! I want him to know that every medal I own is for him! He deserves... he deserves everything, you know...," he trailed off and I sighed.

There were tears streaming down his cheeks, and he sobbed as he wiped the away, and more tears kept coming.

"I... I don't know anymore... and my butt is sore!" He sobbed quietly and I sighed deeply before approaching him slowly, then I turned around, letting him face my back as I crouched down.

"Come on, if your butt hurts, then come here," I sighed and he sobbed before wrapping his arms around my neck, and I placed my hands under his thighs before pulling us back up, and I tried to steadied us.

"You're so heavy! What have you been eating!" I gasped and he looked at the ground.

"I'm not heavy! I just have a big ass!" He replied while tears were streaming down his face, and I rolled my eyes.

"Pour it all out, everything. I'm here to listen, always remember," I replied and Taehyung clutched onto my shirt before sobbing.

"I-I don't know okay?! I... don't know but I think I failed and.. and!" He ranted.

"This takes me back to the old times when we were kids," I grinned as I listened to him.

"What do you mean? I always carried you because you were always crying and hurt. You were a crybaby back then, Namhye, you always get hurt," Taehyung muttered.

"Back then, you were rough. Now who's the crybaby now?" I replied and he sniffed through his tears as I carried him back home.

As we arrived home, thankfully Seokjin and the others were there with a safe Jungkook. I dropped Taehyung off at his bedroom and I proceeded to go to mine as Seokjin and Namjoon were at the other room.

As I entered, my eyes widened at the dark bedroom, and I looked around.

"Jungkook? Jungkook!" I called, and I scanned my eyes everywhere.

Then, I jumped as I felt my body getting pushed, and into something soft.

I closed my eyes, but after opening my eyes a bit I stared into a pair of another's eyes.

They stared at me closely, nose almost touching mine as they neared me.

And I felt his lips on mine.
