THIRD PERSON POV

"Hyung, we've been swimming for probably days now. My tail is cramping," Beomgyu whines as Seokjin rolls his eyes. It was 8 hours since they have departed from their pack, and who knows how many unknown sharks they have bumped into.

"It's been 8 hours according to my studies. But we mermen swim very fast, we might get to the shore at around tomorrow, since Korea is close to us, we'll be there in no time," Namjoon said.

"Namjoon, do you even know what to do when we arrive there?" Seokjin asks as he keeps swimming, almost getting bored from seeing blue everywhere.

"Well, I've learned a few human alphabets. And I realized that humans are crazy," he said and Seokjin raised a brow.

"I can't understand anything. Somedays they're like "hello!" And some days they go "hola!" It hurts my head," Namjoon grumbles and Seokjin sighs before shrugging his shoulders.

"Well I heard from Teacher Jong Suk that humans speak in many languages. Let's just hope we know the language of Korea," Seokjin said and Namjoon nodded.

"I wonder what that horse is doing. What if he eats people?" Yeonjun says quietly.

"I bet he would. What's worse, is that the humans will take him and put him in a land cage!" Beomgyu replied.

"But isn't that a good thing? We don't have to take the burden anymore," Yeonjun replied.

"I was the gatekeeper of the kelpie. And no matter what we do, it is our duty as people of the sea to take back what is also part of the sea. The kelpie is ours, we can't let it go, and what would the humans think?" Namjoon replied.

"No matter what we do, we must take him back... dead or alive," Seokjin said as he kept swimming ahead.

NAMHYE POV

It was the next morning. Taehyung and I agreed that I'd keep Jungkook in my room since Taehyung has to go to school early and Hoseok would probably barge in on him.

I woke up, and the first thing I realized...

Fuck you, school.

Why do I have to go to school?

Why is it even a school day?

Why can't school finish?

I grumbled as I got out of my bed. It was 6:30 in the morning and I had to get my uniform. But those thoughts were interrupted when my eyes widened, my body unable to move.

Then, I realized there was an arm around my waist, and my eyes turned to the figure beside me, and I almost screamed, thinking it was some stranger.

He was peacefully sleeping, his breaths were steady and soft and he looked so innocent.

I exhaled in relief.

But then...

...I felt something on my butt.

Since my back was pressed against his chest, my eyes widened even more when I felt something pressing down my butt, making my face red as it felt like something was rubbing against my clothed butt.

I felt myself getting red as Jungkook's breaths were getting a bit more rougher and deeper, and his cheeks were slowly tinting red and I mentally screamed, knowing Hoseok would hear me as I kicked him off the bed in an instinct.

BOOM!

I kicked him off of the bed as I looked down at him, he was still asleep. But how did he get in the bed? How did he even have the guts to sleep beside me?

There was a bulge on his pajamas.

I cocked a brow before looking at a blank wall.

Is that what they call a boner?

My thoughts went into wild places as I looked at his sleeping form.

"Namhye, are you alright? It's time to wake up!"

I then looked at the door, whisking my head to the door.

"I'm fine uncle! I just... dropped my books!" I replied.

"Alright, don't be late alright? You still have to catch the bus," he replied and I heard his footsteps again, slowly disappearing.

I sighed in relief before getting out of the bed, then I freezed.

There's a wet patch on the bed.

I rolled my eyes as I fixed my bed, ans at the same time Jungkook woke up, rubbing his eye as he stared at me, his cheeks flushed red as he held himself up with the edge of the bed.

I stared at his still-hard erection. And I groaned before walking to my drawers, taking out something before throwing it to him.

He stared at it in his hands and I crossed my arms as I opened my mouth.

"Those are socks. You use them... for that," I said, avoiding eye contact as I pointed at the erection in his pants, and he stared at it, before staring back at me, licking his lips again.

"Don't you dare look at me like that or even think of anything. You perverted horse mermaid lunatic! If you're gonna do that again, I'll punch you in the face," I threatened and Jungkook looked down as he sighed.

"Now excuse me, I'll go and shower," I said before leaving to the bathroom, reminiscing the plan Taehyung told me.

"Alright, we first need to find a way to get Jungkook out of the house for 8 hours without Uncle Hoseok knowing. I'll be back earlier than you so it's best I take care of the afternoon business. You take care on getting him out. Uncle usually goes out in the early morning to buy fruits and vegetables at the nearby market. You go and use that time."

After I finished showering and changing into my uniform, I looked at Jungkook who was still looking at his bulge and I sighed before looking at him.

"I'll be back with breakfast. I'm still gonna come back anyway," I said before leaving the room.

I walked downstairs and my eyes trailed to Hoseok who was putting butter on the toast. He looked at me before smiling.

"Namhye, I already left your lunch money there. You can eat your breakfast too," Hoseok beamed and I nodded as I sat down. I decided to give Jungkook the apple slices.

"Also, I'm going to go on my way to the market. It seems that the ahjumma will be there too, so make sure you go to school early," he smiled as he toasted the bread, and he took his eco-bag before walking to the door.

"And also, I didn't see the horse.... Jungkook, right? Where did he go...," he wondered and I almost spit my milk out.

"Uhmmm... Taehyung decided to bring him back to the forest! He was wild... afterall..," I replied and Hoseok nodded before leaving the door.

As the door closed, I sighed in relief before taking the bowl of apples, and I stood up before making my way upstairs, meeting Jungkook who was staring blankly at a wall.

"Alright, here is your food. And we're moving out as soon as you're done," I said as I handed him the bowl.

YOONGI POV

I spent hours in my office, thinking to myself as I looked at the paper the pathologist gave me, my head started aching as I did a few brainstorming myself.

"A horse shoe... the DNA of an unkmown animal."

Perhaps a wild horse rummaged into town?

But a horse wouldn't be that violent, why would it turn like that?

A wild horse would injure someone, but not to the point where the whole body goes missing.

I bit my fingers as I looked at the paper, and I groaned before dumping my head to my shoulders.

Then, I remembered something.
