This story is a sequel to the book The Right Thing To Do, and is dedicated to those who generously gave their time to read that book. A sequel was suggested by some, and the idea grew into Galen's Ethic. It contains several references to the first book, and while this story stands alone, new readers may experience some curiosity

In the first novel, a young man had been murdered, and his fiancé left without knowing what had happened. In the course of finding justice for the couple, he met Lydia St. Clair, a woman who just happened to be looking for work with the man responsible for the murder. Dieter Preston.

Consequently, Lydia's employment opportunity was lost, but she ended up with Galen, settling down in a town he had previously visited.
