So we all know by now what our lockdown is like - if you don't you have siriusly bad attention and observation skills (I had to). But what would it be like in the wizarding world? Technically, the events of the Cursed Child would be going on right now, so let's just pretend they never happened, ok?

First of all, the wizarding community would probably be able to create magic face masks which work better than muggle ones do, so they'd be safer than us to begin with.

The ministry of magic would probably implant healers into the main medical research centres for corona virus, in the hope that with a little help from them they might be able to find a cure quicker.

Zooming in a little, many people would probably take to selling 'protective' objects and enchantments in the streets much like Mundungus Fletcher did, just to gain a little extra money. These of course would be things like stones from a river bed with a badly placed concealment charm, or amulets that were actually filled with doxy eggs.

Hogwarts. The school wouldn't close, but every day would involve multiple owls, newspapers, and rants in the corridors about how most of the muggle leaders weren't doing anything useful at all. In the common rooms, there would be extra tissue boxes, piles of self-cleansing masks, and notices containing ministry advice about corona virus. Students would be excused from class if they felt at all unwell, and the hospital wing would be extended to fit all the extra people.

The Potters and the Weasleys: would go nuts. Living in a country full of social-distancing muggles, they can't just waltz around outside, no matter how safely protected they are. So, the adults would all have daily shouting matches, play quidditch for hours on end while trying to keep at distance from each other, and family gatherings would be near impossible. There would be many tantrums (particularly from Fleur, Ginny, Molly and Ron and Hermione), tears (from George, Bill and Hermione) and a constant flow of demands for doughnuts, ice cream and milkshakes (everyone bar Victorie who is lactose intolerant).

So it would basically be like our lockdown but more chaotic, a bit safer because of magic, and altogether more crazy!
