His words pierced me through the heart

Like knives.

It made me go numb.

I couldn't feel anything.

Couldn't breathe.

Couldn't see.

Tears fogged up my vision.

My soul shattered.

My heart suddenly became heavy.

I couldn't move.

I stood there for a while,

Open-mouthed,

Wide-eyed,

Crying over some simple words,

"I never did love you."

I felt as if the whole world

Had fallen on my shoulders

As if the only thing keeping it up was me.

I felt like dying,

Right then and there.

But then you came into my life.

You fixed my soul.

My heart.

You made me feel as if there was never a hole there.

As if any moment,

It would threaten to fly out of my chest and into the heavens.
