🍷One-night stand turned boss/colleague by Christy-Valentin
That B****! It's all her fault. This happened because of her A night on the town with the girls and we just had to run into more people from work. Worst of all the boss was there and I just couldn't find it in me to unwind like normal. Not with his beady brown eyes staring at me all night. Meg must have once again pushed me into drinking past my limits, because that is only way I would have done what I did. I normally only have about maybe 5 beers and 3 shots, but when Meg was around things were different. Now I'm in a strange bed with a man I can't stand.
"Damnit, Meg. I'm going to kill you..." I whispered.
I shuffled out of bed and tipped toed to my trail of clothing.
"Where do you think you're going, Miss Shiner?" His voice echoed off the walls.
"Mr. Rothers. Morning... I was just making my way to the bathroom to freshen up."
"And what were your plans after you finished freshing up?"
"Coffee?"
His smile sent a chill down my spine. How did I even end up in his bed? I tried hard to think as he made his way to me and guides me back to the bed. Was it time for another round? I thought he couldn't stand me. Was I mistaken about him? I closed my eyes and let the event play out. If I ended up in his bed once what was one more morning...then after that I could pretend this never happened.
I hope I still have a job after this...then again maybe it's best I quit and find a new one. I just knew after I got from beneath Mr. Rothers I had to find Meg. She had better still be okay. So I can kill her myself.

The morning sunlight cut through the blinds, piercing the haze of last night's choices. Ella blinked, feeling a warm arm draped over her waist. Memories from the evening trickled in—a few too many glasses of Chardonnay, that charming smile, his eyes gleaming with mischief...
Oh no.
She slipped out of bed, collecting her things as quietly as possible, a plan forming: get dressed, find the door, and never see him again. But as she buttoned her shirt, she caught sight of a business card on the bedside table.
Liam Ross, CEO, Stratosphere Media.
Her heart sank. Stratosphere Media. My new job.
That was the same Liam who would be her boss starting...today. She checked her phone. In an hour.
Ella sped out the door, hair still a mess, and threw herself into the workday, hoping—no, praying—that maybe he wouldn't recognize her.
But when she finally sat down at her desk, she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Miss Johnson, right? I didn't expect we'd be meeting again so soon."
Ella turned slowly, feeling her cheeks flush. Liam smiled, eyes twinkling with barely concealed amusement. "Welcome to Stratosphere, Ella."
So much for never seeing him again.

Julia slipped on the sapphire dress he'd bought her, the one that hugged her just right. He always said he had great taste. "The color suits you perfectly," he would tell her, his smile disarming as he traced her arm, watching her reflection with approval.
Tonight, he'd texted: Don't be late. So she put on the heels he liked, the ones that pinched her toes, and headed out, right on time.
But as she walked into the restaurant, he barely looked up. Ten minutes late? He texted, his face unreadable across the table.
"Sorry, the traffic..." she started, only for his gaze to cut her off. "You knew this dinner was important," he murmured, his voice soft, deadly.
The waiter arrived, and she forced a smile, feeling her throat tighten. Her phone buzzed. Another text from him, even though he sat right across: Smile, Julia. Everyone's watching.
She laughed at his small joke, hands trembling slightly as she clinked glasses with him, the familiar sting of regret mixing with her wine.
Later, as they walked out arm in arm, he whispered, "We're just perfect together, don't you think?"
Julia nodded, holding her breath. Just perfect.

🍷Friends/enemies to lovers X 🍷Vacations with a stranger/enemy/crush by AmdzTora_123
The plane landed, and Lena clenched her jaw as she watched Tom wrestle with her suitcase. "I didn't ask for your help," she muttered, snatching the handle back.
"Just trying to keep us on schedule," he replied with his usual smirk, making her blood boil.
This was supposed to be a relaxing tropical getaway. But when her best friend suddenly got sick, Lena had been left with one unwanted travel companion: her co-worker-turned-nemesis, Tom. They'd barely tolerated each other back at the office; spending a whole week together felt like a cosmic punishment.
By day two, they'd already argued over breakfast, snorkeling spots, and whose fault it was they missed the sunset. "You know, maybe if you weren't so rigid—" he started.
"And maybe if you weren't so irresponsible—" she snapped back.
But that night, a sudden rainstorm trapped them in a tiny cabana, huddling together as thunder cracked. Lena sighed, exasperated and exhausted. "Guess we're stuck."
Tom surprised her with a laugh—a warm, genuine laugh. "Guess we are," he replied, softer this time.
As silence settled over them, Lena found herself smiling. Maybe paradise had a funny way of melting walls.

🍷The rise of the shy/insecure character by AmdzTora_123
The meeting room was packed, everyone's eyes fixed on the projector as Karen fumbled with her notes. Her hands shook slightly, and she could already feel the familiar warmth creeping up her neck.
She'd spent weeks preparing for this presentation, carefully planning each slide. Yet, standing here, she wished she could sink into the floor. Her voice had never been the loudest in the room, and sometimes it felt like no one ever really listened.
"Karen?" her boss prompted, raising an eyebrow, reminding her that the room was waiting.
She took a shaky breath, glancing at the first slide, and then back at the faces around the table. Remember why you're here, she told herself. You earned this.
And suddenly, something shifted. She straightened her shoulders and began, her voice a little stronger with each word. She shared her ideas, her research, her solutions—things she'd stayed up late perfecting.
When she finished, the room was silent for a moment, and then her boss smiled. "Brilliant work, Karen."
For the first time, she looked out and saw genuine respect in their eyes. And as she sat down, her heart raced not with nerves, but with something new—pride.
