Liechtenstein (Special Chapter)
Dear Diary...
My name is Lily.
My big brother doesn't want me to fall in love with anyone. He said that all we needed was to live "independently" without anyone overshadowing our light of peace and tranquility.
That's where he was wrong.
He said that I should stay away from school drama to not get into trouble, but let me tell you, my life is simply boring. That's why I stalk almost every couple in school and take note of them. I want my life to be as interesting as their's.
That day, during PE, my least favorite subject, I got bullied by Gilbert again. It was the third time this week, and it's getting really annoying.
We were doing warm ups for basketball. Knowing Gilbert, he's really good at this sport. I just hope that I get to be my big brother's teammate this time.
"Alright, students! Listen up!" Ms. Elizabeth said as she waved a bowl filled with paper in the air. "We're going to draw lots, alright? Each of you pick a paper from this bowl and meet with your teammates! Red team, roll up sleeves! Blue team roll down sleeves!"
Immediately, everyone caused a stampede to where Ms. Elizabeth stood. Some grinned at each other knowingly (Mathias and Alfred), some frowned (me and Peter) knowing that they'd immediately lose, and some didn't care (Kiku, Lukas, big brother Vash, and some others).
When it was my turn, I was part of the...blue team. Gilbert was my enemy and I gulped. I was horrible at basketball, I knew nothing about sports, but at least I had big brother Vash on my side.
Ms. Elizabeth blew her whistle and threw the ball up. Alfred was one of the first people to get the ball. I struggled to get the ball, as no one passed it to me, I had no chance to, or someone got it instead of me. Just my rotten luck.
"Having a hard time, Ms. Flower?" Gilbert mocked.
I rolled my eyes. I was already sweating because of the game. I didn't need any more problems!
"I'm perfectly fine, thank you very much!" I said sarcastically. I glanced in Vash's way and he gave me a death glare. Well, I'm sorry if anything upsets you, dear brother! I want to be independent, just like you.
"Looks like you aren't!" Gilbert said. "Here, I'll show you where your problems are!"
I breathed a sigh of relief. Gilbert stopped to hand me the ball but he put his foot in my path and I tripped over, falling face-first on the floor.
"Oops!" Gilbert said with glee. "Didn't see you there, sorry! Kesesesese!"
You jerk, I thought, but I kept my thoughts to myself.
As I stood up again, I was kicked back down by Gilbert. The damage my head took was greater than what I've felt before. Without realizing it, blood slowly dripped from my forehead, and I felt a nagging pain from inside my head.
Apparently, Ms. Elizabeth and Vash saw me and immediately ran to my aid. The game stopped and my classmates looked at me to see what I had gotten myself into.
"Lily, you stupid girl," Vash told me. "Why did you have to challenge the creep?"
"Hey, I'm no creep!" Gilbert said. "I'm awesome!"
"Awesome at being annoying..." I muttered. I tried to stand up, but my head hurts, so I sat back down.
"We need to get you to the clinic," Ms. Elizabeth said. "Wang, would you like to take Gilbert to Principal Flavio's office?"
Wang bowed his head politely. "Yes, Ms. Elizabeth." Wang took Gilbert's arm and they both muttered curses to each other.
After that, I was sent to the clinic, but I'm as bright as sunshine now, don't worry.
This is Lily, signing off for now.
