"Vidyut mene aate time bhi dekha, ek haathi ka baccha mara pada tha" Karan told Vidyut when they were discussing about the ongoing issue in the jungle. "Ab to mahine me teen chaar haathi mare hue milte hai. Kucch pata nhi hai ke yeh sab kese ho raha hai" Vidyut explained. "Case shuru karne se pehle me ek baar poora jungle dekhna chahunga" Karan said. Vidyut nodded and called Devaki.

"Devaki tum Karan ko jungle dikhaa dogi?" Vidyut asked, Devaki looked at Karan. "Bhaiya actually mujhe kucch kaam tha" She said, "kya kaam?" He asked. "Pichle hafte jis haathi ki delivery hui, woh thoda bimaar tha to usko check karna hai" She lied. "Woh to mene subhah hi kar lia" Vidyut replied. "Accha aapne kar lia?" Devaki asked, he nodded. "Lekin shaam ka khaana bhi to banana hai" She said, "aaj ka khana Dilin aur Sameeksha bana rahe hai" He said, "aur kucch?" He asked, Devaki looked down and shook her head. "Good" Vidyut smiled and stood up. "Shaam ko dinner pe milte hai" He said shaking hands with Karan. "Sab acche se dikhaa dena" Vidyut said to Devaki, before leaving.

"Chale?" Devaki asked Karan. He nodded and they left the house to take a tour of the jungle. "Anything special jo tum dekhna chahte ho?" Devaki asked, he looked at her for some moments, she sighed, "mujhe chodke" She said looking away. He nodded pursing his lips, "jaha se tum chaho vahi se start karte hai" He said. She took him to the port, from where the Gajraj idol was clearly visible. 

"Yeh hamare Gajraj ki murti hai" She said standing in front of the idol, "boht saal purani hai, kisi ko nhi pata yaha kese aai" She said, "to yeh banai kese?" Karan asked, "aaj takk yeh koi pata nhi laga paya. Shayad yeh murti hi iss jungle ki sabse badi mystery hai" She said. "I'm sure yaha aur bhi raaz chupe hai" He said looking at her. She ignored what he said, "kaha jaata hai yeh poora jungle Ganpati ji ne haathio ke liye banaya tha" She said, "aur unhone khud ki murti bhi bana di credit lene ke lie?" He laughed, she made a poker face.

"Anyway, upar ek waterfall hai aur uska paani murti ke upar girke neeche iss river me merge hota hai" She said sitting on her knees and drinking some of the water, "paani bilkul fresh aur clean hota hai. Jungle ke log yahi paani pite hai" She said standing up. "Subhah aur shaam haathi bhi yaha aate hai. Pehle Ganpati ji ke saamne sar jhukaa ke unka naman karte hai, aur fir yaha ka paani pite hai" She smiled as she saw a baby elephant coming. 

"Tara aa rhi hai, hatto yaha se" Devaki moved Karan out of the way, "tumhe kese pata yeh tara hi hai?" He asked, "delivery ke time me vahi thi" She said caressing Tara's head. As Devaki said, Tara lowered her head in front of the huge idol and then drank water from the river. When she was done, she looked at Devaki, "waha khel rahe hai sab" Devaki pointed somewhere at her left, Tara quickly followed the direction. "Sambhal ke" Devaki smiled. Karan was simply looking at Devaki, her saw her that happy after years. He missed her smile.

She looked at him and her smile disappeared, "iss taraf" She said and started walking, "Devaki kya sab pehle jesa nhi ho sakta?" He asked, "tum achanak kyu chali geyi thi?" He asked. "Tum yaha apna kaam karne aae ho" Devaki stopped, "accha hoga ke vahi karo" she said with teary eyes. "Devaki" he said, but she didn't stop.
