Chapter 3: Apathetic

Gabriel's p.o.v

My eyes were shut but I was awake, I could feel heat radiating from the right of me, soft, plush items were laied on top of me while a fluffy and thick item was under my head. I felt a little pressure on my cheek and forehead, I tried desperately to reach my hand up to touch them but I could not move my arms without them cramping up tightly, no matter how hard I tried. I sigh inwardly and gave up on that matter and and tried to open my eyes, furrowing my eyebrows I slowly opened my eyes, at first everything was cloudy due to my eyes being closed for such a long period of time. I blinked a few times and the cloudiness dissipated and I was left staring down at the purple blanket that covered my upper chest down to my feet. I looked down at where my hands were and tried to move them and only could wiggle the pointer and ring finger as of now, must be from the close encounter of hypothermia. I moved my head to the right and saw a fireplace with a fire crackling away, giving heat and light upon the small area of room. I flicked my eyes to the right of the fireplace and saw a hallway, probably leading to other rooms. To the left of the fireplace there was a small table with a few candles there and a coaster or two, I couldn't tell since they were so thin and stacked upon each other. I went back to staring ahead and noticed an opening where a small kitchen laied and a woman was standing in front of the stove. I contuined to stare, noticing her [hair colour] hair pulled back in a loose pony tail, her red sweater, grey sweatpants and her fuzzy grey socks. I tilted my head to the side, contemplating my thoughts on her, was she the one who pulled me from the harsh outdoors? She probably was considering I sensed no other movement in the house. As I stared ahead my gaze fixated on the woman, there was a soft click and the woman reached up to one of the cabinets and pulled out a small bowl and placed it on to the counter, handling the pot she poured the contents into the bowl and then placed the pot back onto the stove. She pulled open a drawer and took out a spoon and placed it in the bowl and turned around, she seemed startled at first, probably because the man who was unconscious before was now staring at her like a creep. But she relaxed and walked over to I was currently laying and placed the bowl on the table beside the couch, she looked slightly uncomfortable, her feet shifting every now and then.
"Um...how are you feeling? Any numbness?" Her voice broke the awkward silence, clearing my throat some I spoke.
"N-no" my voice cracked, sounding rough that I even cringed some at some. "No, no numbness, well expect in my arms." I contuined, she nodded slightly.
"Do you want any water? I made soup if you were hungry..do you want some?" She asked, reaching for the bowl, nodding some she grasped the bowl in her hands and knelt down, getting on her knees she shifted some and scooped up some of the soup with the spoon and bkee on it softly and slowly brought it up to me. I parted my lips just enough for the spoon to go in, closing my lips around the metal utensil she pulled it back and the contents stayed in my mouth. Swallowing was the hard part, my throat was seemingly, incredibly dry so after a little cough I got it down. She looked at me worridly, but I smiled some letting her know I was okay.

After a half of bowl of soup and a cup of water later, the woman ,who I now knew as [Your Name], was carefully taking off the bandages off my face. I wincing all the while the little hairs on my face were snagging on the sticky part of the band aid, making it slightly painful which was odd considering this little action would be a walk in the park for someone like me. My eyes widened slightly ad realization hit me, my grace, my wings. Glancing over my shoulder I saw nothing, no big golden wings were in my view, only a window, a door and a coat rack. Oh shit that was not good, that was so not good. I'm human now, fuck. Feeling a hand on my arm I glanced down at the [skin colour] hand on my arm, then up to the concerned face of [Your Name]. She must have sensed my discomfort or something of the sorts.
"I'm alright." I said, she gave me a look of disbelief and I held back the urge to roll my eyes. "Promise." She smiled some and got up, the slightly bloody Band-Aids in her hand.
"I'll be right back, I gotta get a washcloth for your face." And with that she left down the hall and into a room. Okay, now is the time to panic. Your grace is gone, you can't see your wings and you're human now. Closing my eyes I sent out a message to Castiel, hoping he hasn't fallen as well, cracking open of my eyelids I saw now difference in anything. Sighing I closed my eyes again, great either he's ignoring me or he fell with everyone else. Opening my eyes again once I heard her footsteps I forced a small smile in which she returned. Gettng on her knees again she began to slowly and tentatively wash my face. I took this moment to get a good look at her. Being used to only seeing souls not actual facial features I took extra care in looking her over. Her soft [eye colour] eyes held a certain look in them that I couldn't quite place, her [skin colour] skin looked really smooth and well kept, not like that's important. Her hair was [hair length], which suited her very well it seemed. She glanced up to my gaze, a small blush creeping along her cheeks, probably from my observing of her like a creep. She pulled back her hand with the washcloth, placing it on the table she wiped her hands on her sweater and looked down at her hands.
"I have a question for you." She began, nodding some she contuined, "I saw you from my window... How did you fall from the sky?"
