Prologue: Two Years Since Her Move?
It has been two years since Natalie left. Gabriel Agreste seems to have nothing more on his mind lately. It troubles him. This much, Adrien Agreste can tell. He cannot understand what made her do it or why it bothers his father so much.
Marinette feels sorry for her father-in-law as she can tell he is in great pain. She wishes she knew how to help him. She also desires for both Adrien and Gabriel to get more sleep.
" Adrien, does Gabriel always sleep at his desk?" Marinette asks. She wonders about this since the last few months he has been asleep in his study.
"Yes, he has since Natalie's move," Adrien replies.
" Well, it cannot be that healthy for him," Marinette states.
"Marinette, father refuses to let anyone else help despite his depression over her disappearance. " Adrien says.
"Cannot something be done to help him?" Marinette asks.
"Marinette, how we help him when he refuses to listen?" Adrien asks.
Marinette rolls her eyes in annoyance. She cannot believe Adrien thinks his father's health is something to be ignored.
Meanwhile, Natalie wakes up across town. She notices it has been two years since her move. She regrets the fact she left no note. Perhaps, it would have been easier on them all.
Natalie lives with her sister now. She is glad to be able to assist with her nephew and niece. She dresses them as her sister leaves for her job.
