Chapter 6 He Finds Out

  Gabriel's POV:

Natalie is rushed to the hospital. Gabriel followed the ambulance in his car. He worries for her. He wishes whatever it is she would have told him. He would do anything for her.

   For his beloved Natalie.

Marinette and Adrien feel sad. They know it means the cancer must have progressed more or something.

The two feel guilty they did not tell Gabriel, but had promised to let Natalie share the news when she was ready.

"What is the matter with her?" Gabriel asks.

The doctor shakes his head. "It seems the illness has made her weaker," He says.

   "Illness, what illness?" Gabriel inquiries.

Adrien and Marinette sat side by side in the waiting room. Marinette cries. Adrien tries his best to console her.

"Natalie's cancer has gotten worse. It is only a matter of time, Mr. Agreste," The doctor explains. Then, he walks away.

"Cancer, what?  She has cancer and never told me?" Gabriel's voice sounded unsteady.

Adrienette sobbed as they tried their best to console one another.  Gabriel goes to them. "Did she tell you?" He asks.

  "Yes, but..."Adrien began.

"She made us swear not to tell you," Marinette says.

"Why did not she tell me?" Gabriel asks.

"She said she would when the timing was right," Marinette blurts out.

"Timing right, she should have told me when she first found out," Gabriel was angry.

Gabriel stood up and went to see her. He sat on a stool by the bed holding her hand. He wept as he thought Natalie I don't know what I will do.

Adrienette stayed in the waiting room because they felt it was best. They loved Natalie but knew Gabriel loved her more than any of them.

The story continues in Chapter 7,

Until then,
