Two Days Later...
Shadow's P.O.V.
   Gabbie's collarbone is healed now, and Nurse Joy is working on her leg. Louie has stuck by my side; he seems to have taken a liking to me. And honestly, I've taken a liking to him. Sure, he seemed annoying at first, but he's a really nice dude.
   We were waiting at the Pokémon Center for Gabbie's leg operation to be done. The green light turned off eventually and Nurse Joy came out carrying a happy-looking Gabbie who's leg was wrapped in bandages.
   "She'll be fine, just take it easy on the leg for a week or so. She won't be able to battle until the bandages are ready to come off," Nurse Joy told us with a smile. Gabbie smiled and made her cute "boi boi" noise. I giggled and took her from Joy and hugged her as tight as I could, but not too tight, I didn't want to worsen Gabbie's leg when it was so close to being better. Gabbie even let Louie pet her. Louie gave her some scratches behind the ears that she really liked.
   "Thank you so much, Nurse Joy!" I gushed. I couldn't be any happier, honestly. She smiled and said, "No problem!"

Gabbie's P.O.V.
   So I'm finally ready to go on adventures, but without all the battling for a week. But still, I can't believe I'm finally ready to get out of the Center! I really am starting to like this Louie kid. He's really nice and loyal. He stuck by Shadow the whole time while waiting for me.

I don't usually leave an author's note, but I just feel like I need one here. So I just published this story and I've gotten 11 reads already. 11! I know that seems like a small amount, but it's a lot for me! In the first 24 hours, too! Thanks, anybody reading this book! (I was originally planning on almost having Gabbie put to sleep in the Center, but it wouldn't happen anyway. But that idea got scrapped, but this story still has much to come!
