Poof. 

"What?" questions the weird man. 

"Sasori, it was a shadow clone, the real one is running off," yells Deidara from above as he takes a hold of the defeated Kazekage, Gaara, and lands next to Sasori on the roof.

"Not likely," you say as you reappear behind with a kunai in your hand.

"Such a brave girl," smirks Sasori. "For your wonderful participation, I won't kill you, but..."

You were waiting for Sasori to finish his sentence.

"But, you've made me wait longer than I wanted to, so I'll let my partner take care of the final blow," finishes Sasori.

Deidara then threw clay birds at you. You cut each one with the Kunai in your hand without flinching at every explosion.

"Is that all you got Deidara?" You say cockily.

Deidara only grins. Before you could realize what was going on, you felt something crawling upon you. You looked down to see a few clay spiders on your legs.

Deidara then yells something and, BOOM.

You fell off whatever building you three were on. Before you passed out, the last thing you saw was Gaara being carried away by the two Akatsuki members and a giant clay bird.

You grunt as your eyes begin to open and try to adjust to the white, bright room. 

What the fuck is going on? Where am I?

You turn to see Sakura treating... Kankuro?

Wait, why is Sakura here?

You look around the room some more to see Naruto, Kakashi-Sensei, an older woman, Temari, other doctors perhaps, Rokuro, Chūseina, and... Yuki and Shuji? 

Naruto looks the same with his orangey-self. Kakashi-Sensei still looking the same while reading a book called," Make-Out Paradise." You couldn't say anything about the older woman, but the fact that it seemed that she wanted to kill Kakashi. And then, it came down to Yuki and Shuji. 

It seems that Yuki still carries his mother's katana, has his white hair slicked back, and is wearing black pants, sandals, and a long sleeve black shirt. 

Shuji on the other hand still has a war going on with his hair, it's all over the place, yet it suits him you thought. Shuji has gloves on, is wearing sandals, gray pants and a black long sleeve shirt that's covered by a green vest. 

"The treatment is finished," you heard Sakura say. 

You jerk your head in Kankuro's direction and wonder what happened that could take him down and throw him in the hospital. 

"(Y/n)?" questions Rokuro. 

You turn to see Rokuro next to your hospital bed with tears streaming down his face. You reach for Rokuro's face and wipe his tears with your bandaged hand.

"Rokuro.." you say with a hoarse voice. "There's no need to cry, I'm okay."

"B-But.." Rokuro stutters and sniffles. "But th-they blew off most o-of y-your left l-l-leg."

Your eyes go wide at Rokuro's comment as you look down to your covered body and pull off the sheets to reveal most of your left leg missing.

"M-My leg.." you mumble as tears run down your face. 

Naruto runs up to your side and says, "It's okay (y/n)! It's just a leg, all that matters is that you're alive!" 

The tears kept pouring as you remember what happened.

"I'm not upset with losing my leg, I'm upset that I couldn't save him!" you cry out loud as everyone stares at you. You sat up and yell, "I could've saved him! But I didn't! The sad part is that it wasn't because I wasn't strong enough! It was because I was arrogant! I was cocky! I was... s-so stupid!" 

You fall back into your pillow, curl up, and sob. 

You felt someone pat your back. You look to see Temari with a smile on her face. 

"It's okay," says Temari. 

"It's not Temari.." you mumble as you clench your pillow. 

"I think it's time we start tracking them down," you hear Kakashi-Sensei say. 

You look over to Kakashi-Sensei and stare at his eye, he nods and leaves being followed by Sakura and Naruto. The older woman then runs after them. Yuki and Shuji give you a smile and begin to walk after the crew. 

"Those fucking-" you jump out of your hospital bed and begin hopping on one foot after them. 

You trip and was caught by Temari, who gave you a funny look. 

"You're helpless," chuckles Temari as she helps you catch up to the two goons that didn't even say hi to you. Soon you caught up to Yuki and Shuji. 

You jump onto Yuki's back as Temari throws you into them, then you put your arm around Shuji's neck and pull him closer you. Soon you had them both in headlocks. 

"You fuckers didn't even say hi to our reunion," you say with a smirk. 

"O-Ow (Y/n)!" yelps Shuji as tries to pry your hands off of him. 

"I didn't know it'd end like this.." mumbles Yuki as he accepts your "attempt" to murder them. 

You then let go of Shuji and have Yuki steady you onto your only leg. 

"We'll have to have a talk after all this," you say with a smile as Yuki hands you off to Temari and they walk away to catch of with the rest of the team. 

Soon you were in your hospital bed next to a conscious Kankuro. 

"What happened to you?" you question Kankuro. 

"Sasori poisoned me," says Kankuro as he clenches his fist. "I had them right there, I could've taken them down, but I was too weak. I could've saved my little brother." 

"At least your reason is better than my reason for not being able to save him," you mumble. 

"Oh stop sulking you two, my reason is a lot worst because I didn't even go after him!" yells Temari with tears pouring down her face.

Soon Temari had to leave for a mission, Rokuro had left with Chūseina to go home and rest up, and it was just you and Kankuro staring at a tv screen that was playing some old popular ninja cartoon. 

Silence pervaded through the quiet dark room until Kankuro broke it. 

"(y/n)," mumbles Kankuro as he looks over to you. 

You turn to look at Kankuro, "Hm?"
