Setting Off For the Land of Wind
The train soon arrived at the enormous station of the Hidden Leaf Village.
The passengers got off, meeting their relatives, friends and hosts there on the platform.
Some of the passengers went to other platforms to change the trains.
The Shin-Lin cousins got off the train and began looking around in confusion.
"So? What can you sense? Where does the energy track lead?" Shamo impatiently asked Mekano, who was already casting the jutsu.
He finally opened eyes and replied.
"They avoided the Leaf Village, as I said. The track still continues to the south-west, and has already crossed the border, avoiding Hidden Rain Village as well. The last trace at my jutsu range goes beyond the Land of Wind..."
"Land of Wind?! But we know nothing about that land!" Shamo nervously exclaimed, "The only thing we ever knew about it was where it was located!"
"Yeah, it's so far from the ocean that we could gather no news about it..." Shusui sighed.
"But we cannot simply give up!" Kaen cried out, "We need to save Hana!"
While Shin-Lin cousins were in deep shock, confusion and worry, Lady Temari and her five companions had also come off the train and had walked up to their men - Shikamaru, Choji, and Sai - who met them on the platform.
The families rejoiced and greeted each other, and then the two families - Yamanaka family with the blond-haired woman, Ino, her husband, Sai, and their son, Inojin, and the Akimichi family with Temari's and Ino's companion, Karui, her husband, Choji, and their daughter, Chocho, bid goodbye to their friends and went off.
After that, Shikamaru Nara, the Leaf Village leader's, Hokage's right hand-man turned to his wife, Temari, and son, Shikadai.
"Well, how was the trip?" he asked, scratching his head.
"Fine..." Shikadai lazily answered, staring at his game device.
Seeing his attitude, Shikamaru sighed annoyedly, as if thinking 'What a drag...'
Temari frowned at Shikadai's rudeness, but didn't say anything, just turned to Shikamaru and answered:
"It was good. But now I must visit my brothers in Hidden Sand and tell them about the outcome of this affair. I need you to look after Shikadai while I'm gone. It won't be long, maximum three days, so you mustn't be too busy".
"Yeah, if it's just three days then it's perfectly fine," Shikamaru answered. "And after all, it is Kazekage's affair so we cannot neglect it so carelessly," he added.
"True," Temari smiled. "Well then, I guess I'll go, or I'll miss the train".
Shikamaru beamed back.
"See you later then. I'll miss your delicious dishes..." he scratched his head again, blushing.
"Ugh come on..." Temari grew all red, and then they kissed each other on lips.
Shikadai looked away, thinking all his parents' attitude was 'a drag'.
Then Temari also bid goodbye to Shikadai and was about to set off, when a young, over 14 years old boy came up to them. He had pitch black spiky hair and charming hazel eyes with the shade of honey colour. He was wearing grey clothes with red lines here and there, and grey boots of a cold mountains' resident. He had girt a small ninja tool bag on his thigh, was carrying a backpack on his one shoulder, and had girt a heavy, sharp, fractal sword of a fir-tree shape on his back.
It was Kaen.
Seeing this strange guy come up to them in all of a sudden, Temari, Shikadai and Shikamaru stared at him astonishedly.
But Kaen didn't leave them in awkward situation and spoke all at once:
"Hey there... Sir... Madam..." he looked first at Shikamaru, then at Temari, scratching his head, feeling awed, "Sorry for disturbing. My cousins and I are... well... um..." he glanced back at his cousins' group, and then looked up at the surprised Nara family again, "We're tourists..." he grinned innocently, "So, anyway... We need to head to Land of Wind now, but we have trouble finding the right train. Do you by any chance know where we must go?"
Meanwhile, the Shin-Lin cousins watched Kaen conversing with the strangers, and felt nervous. Hearing Kaen's words, Shamo palmed her face.
"Ugh he's the lamest in this kind of talks..."
"Yeah, why did we even let him do the job?" Mekano crossed arms.
"We weren't even able to object," Shusui calmly answered, "He just came up with the idea to ask the strangers about the train and straightly ran off without even listening to us".
"Great..." Shamo grumbled.
Kaen was watching the Nara family.
Shikamaru and Temari looked at each other, being a little confused, but then Temari smiled and turned back to the young man.
"You're really lucky, kid," she chuckled, "I'm heading to the Land of Wind myself right now".
"Wow, really?" Kaen's eyes brightened, "That's wonderful! Please tell the way!"
"I'll just show you the way," Temari smiled, "Come on," and then she turned to her husband and son: "Goodbye guys! Take care while I'm gone!" She turned around and took Kaen towards another platform.
"See you!" Shikamaru wove hand, and then took Shikadai and went off, but there was one thought troubling his mind...
That fractal sword... I'm sure I have seen one like it somewhere before... But I don't remember where and when... he wondered to himself.
The Shin-Lin cousins caught up with Kaen and Temari, and Shamo told Kaen, frowning:
"Thanks for calling us, Kaen," she crossed her arms.
"Hey guys," Kaen smirked, chuckling, "So good you finally came".
"Ugh," Shamo rolled eyes, and then looked up at Temari: "Um, we're not troubling you too much, madam? I'm sorry for my little cousin..." she innocently grinned, showing her four vampire teeth among her normal ones.
Temari got frightened seeing this weird girl, but then she chuckled.
"No problem kids, I'm heading to Land of Wind myself so having a little company along the way won't hurt".
Shamo smiled.
"Thanks a lot!"
"My pleasure," Temari replied.
Suddenly Nami ran off her brother's, Shusui's, side, and touched Temari's giant fan.
"Wow, so beautiful!" her eyes sparkled.
Temari chuckled, being happy for her beloved fan to be praised.
"It is actually a weapon," she proudly said. "And a dangerous one".
"Awesome!" now Kaen brightened.
Soon they arrived to the right platform, and saw the super train, which was ready to set off for the Hidden Sand Village.
"That's the train kids," Temari smiled, "Now quickly get the tickets, it will leave soon. See you!" and with these words she walked off towards the train.
"Thanks a lot madam! Goodbye!" Shamo smiled and the cousins went to the booking-office.
Soon the cousins were already holding the tickets and ascending the train. They found their compartment in the First Class wagon, and walked in.
The train moved, and soon left the Hidden Leaf Village.
"I heard this train is going to the Hidden Village of the Land of Wind," Shamo told her cousins, "which is called the Hidden Sand Village".
"Doesn't sound like fun," Kaen looked away, out of the window, being bored.
"Why? It does sound fun," Shamo crossed arms, "I always loved sand... And actually we're not heading there to have fun, but to find Hana, don't forget," she frowned, and then, she looked down at her sand gourd... "And maybe..." she sighed, "Maybe in that Sand Village we can find him too..."
Hearing this, the cousins widened eyes.
"I'd be honoured to meet him," Mekano put hand on saddened Shamo's shoulder. Shamo gratefully beamed to him.
Mekano then wove signs and cast his jutsu again, getting back to the energy tracks of their lost cousin, Hana Shin.
Meanwhile, Temari was sitting in her compartment in the First Class wagon as well, and was looking out of the window, fallen in her thoughts.
That girl... She thought, recalling Shamo. She had such familiar look... And her dressing style resembles the one of Hidden Sand resident's... Though that guy, her cousin, said they all were tourists... So weird...
She was very surprised to meet these strange 'tourists' whose nationality she didn't know, but was now eager to find out...
