Sans' POV

As the kid was looking at me curiously I resisted the urge to fan girl (or boy) at how adorable they are,I could tell that Ash was even more skeptical because of the fierce glare on her face directed right into my SOUL,I felt a small shiver slither up my spine as their glare cut into my SOUL. Adverting my eye lights towards her shaking friend,a soft smile on my face,trying to reassure them and it worked as they smiled slightly,"So what brought you kids tyo the forest?"I asked them. "W-we we-ere goi-ng ca-camping." (Y/n) stuttered and I wanted to fan girl even more as they looked at me with shining (E/c) orbs,"Adorable." I muttered to myself,a small blue hue lighting up my face that I hoped they didn't see.

"Wh-what?!" (Y/n) stuttered,their face a bright red,"Nothing."I said quickly,but seeing the looks on Ash's and James' faces made me think they'd heard as well,I blushed slightly before shaking my skull lightly,I could see that (Y/n) wanted to ask me something but held themselves back. Ash then asked me impatiently,"When are we going to be able to go back? Our parents expect us back today!"they stressed,pacing back and forth on my hand,sending tingles through my arm. Thinking about it,I didn't need the kid's parents all coming and finding me,I also didn't really want to keep them from their parents,on the other hand they could tell their parents but seeing the pleading look in (Y/n)'s eyes was enough to make my SOUL melt.

Your POV

All three of us waited with baited breath,until he finally answered us with,"Okay. Just keep this meeting between us."he said,we all nodded and I grinned slightly,his hand lowered towards the ground and when it hit the ground with a soft thud,we all stepped off. "Bye kiddos." he waved to us and we all ran towards camp,our new found information thundering around in our heads,we hastily packed everything up,the constant feeling of being watched making us keep at a quick pace. When everything was done we all made our way towards Ash's house and every so often we'd see a flash of white and we picked up the pace,when we were finally at Ash's house we all headed a so of relief.

~Time skip to night time~

As I was readying myself for bed,I laid in bed,tossing and turning constantly as I remembered the sadness shining in Sans' orbs as we left,finally after about an hour,I sighed and got changed into a new set of clothes and slid on some trainers. Grabbing my backpack that I'd filled with essentials and I rushed downstairs,making sure to stay silent,opening the door,heading towards the forest,a look of DETERMINATION on my face as I sped towards the darkness of the forest. Grabbing a torch,I shone it over the bark and headed in the direction where I'd gone camping the night before and looked around,I heard a sigh and I heard a familiar voice,"Well,what's a kid doing in the forest so late?"

Looking around,I saw white and blue,smiling slightly,I didn't speak until I felt myself being picked up by the back of my hoodie,shivers passed through my spine as solid ground left my feet,I was lifted until I couldn't see the ground and was met with two white orbs. After the two orbs quickly scanned me over he asked in surprise,"(Y/n)?" his tone was confused as I smiled at him,he quickly placed me in his flat palm,looking at me in confusion,"Hey Sans!"I greeted him. "What are you doing here so late at night,I thought you were a different human." he said,a worried tone of voice as his eye lights scanned me over as if checking if I'd been hurt,a sigh of relief that ruffled my hair slightly when he found nothing.

"I wanted to see you again silly!" I said,winking at him,a small smile on my face,having more confidence than earlier,knowing he had no intentions about hurting me,"Well,I've never seen a human twice before."he said,a smile on his face. I laughed as his eye lights turned into small stars,I saw his shoulder shifting and I wondered what he was doing until I felt something being ran gently over my head,I flinched back slightly but then relaxed at the sensation. He chuckled and I looked up,seeing it was one of his boney digits being ran over my head,it felt oddly comforting as a content smile crossed my features,in any other situation I would've felt uncomfortable with someone stroking my hair,even is they are my size,but while it was him,it felt different.

Worry took me over as I saw blue beginning to spread across his face,I gently placed my hand over it and asked,"Are you okay? Are you sick?! "I asked frantically,the blue on his face spread and I felt myself getting even more worried. "I'm fine kid." he tried to assure me,running his finger through my hair again,I calmed down but only slightly,I felt something inside of me and my chest glowed a soft green,it felt like I was being hugged and it felt like I was full of something...

KINDNESS

A soft smile crossed my face until I heard a loud glitching sound that echoed in my head,I covered my ears and I saw a worried expression on Sans' face as he placed his other hand over me,holding me to his chest,I could hear something outside of his hands and I peeked through his digits. What I saw was strange,it was like another him,all I could see was two orbs,one slightly bigger than the other,twitching every few seconds,illuminating his pitch black skull slightly,"HeLlo ClAsSiC."the new skeleton greeted Sans. "Hello Error." he said,the other skeleton 'Error' didn't seem to be listening as his orbs scanned the area,all he said was,"WhErE aRe ThEy ClAsSiC?" I heard something thudding in his chest as if he had a heartbeat.

"Where's who?" Sans asked,putting on an act,and a pretty convincing one at that,he held no fear in his voice and his tone was genuinely curious as Error rolled his orbs,"YoU KnOw WhO,tHe HuMaN tHaT's SuPpOsEd To Be HeRe." he said,looking straight into my scared (E/c) orbs. "It SeEmS lIkE sOmEoNe WaS lYiNg." Error said in a teasing tone as I felt something being pulled out of my chest and my eyes widened in shock as I saw a glowing green pixelated heart float out of my chest,only to be covered in blue strings that teleported me out of Sans' hands. "NO! Don't hurt them!" Sans said to Error,quickly standing up,a growl of his ripping through the air,Error just brought me up to his face,scanning me over,a grin crossing his face.

"YeP. tHiS tImElInE iS In OrDeR." Error said,the strings around my heart vanished and I was dropped into his palms before being hands over to Sans,as soon as I was placed in his hands,I hugged Sans' thumb,tears running down my face out of fear,one of his digits ran over my head as I felt tears dripping down my face. Error then opened a portal and left,his glitched laughter echoing through the night,a sound that won't show Mercy,"W-who wa-as th-at?" I asked,fear still in my tone,gripping his thumb in a tight hug,fear making my heart pump faster in my chest. "That is Error,he makes sure that everything is going okay in AUs." Sans explained,I nodded,still shivering,a few stray tears leaking from my eyes.
