Your POV

I scratched the back of my head, uncertainty in my eyes as I asked,"Are you sure this is safe?"my voice wavering with uncertainty laced within, sure I trusted the skeleton that was stood in front of me,slightly shorter in stature, but the many ways this could blow up in our faces were exposed to me. Shivering,I looked at him as he smiled softly at me and said,"Yes,I have tested it and it worked with ease, you don't need to worry."his tone was deep and comforting,he reached out his hand and interlocked it with mine, squeezing it lightly.

Though I was still nervous about this,I nodded, putting my trust into one of my closest friend's hands,he gently took my hand and lead me towards a different room of the house, one I'd never been introduced to. When we walked into this room, the walls were the first thing I noticed, they were a dull blue, most of the paint looking fresh,in the center of the room was a machine. Wires hooked onto the sides of the contraption,it looked like the shrink ray from that movie he was obsessed with.

As I was looking at it in awe,I heard him chuckle and I turned to him,he gestured to the machine and said,"I'll explain how it works, alright?"I didn't react as he started telling me anyway. "In short, this machine will only rearrange your body structure so you become smaller in size."I nodded, showing my understanding. He lead me to a red 'X' painted on the floor and smiled comfortingly at me and then walked to the side of the machine, his bone fingers making haste across the keyboard.

I saw a ball of green energy crackle to life at the end of the machine, illuminating the dull walls a soft emerald as my gaze was transfixed on the beautiful sight in front of me. Looking,I saw him smiling at me and I returned it and eventually, the ball was released,it whizzed towards my chest, crackling with energy as the object the size of my fist was absorbed into my body. In a millisecond,my whole body felt lie it was on fire,I crumpled to the floor as I felt my bones being restrained and I cried out a,now foreign, name,

" SANS!"

Author's POV

Emerald light reflected across the room, gliding Sans and (Y/n),when the blazing light died down, there lay (Y/n) unmoving on the floor, their clothes singed from the heat that had surrounded the blast, but otherwise fine, except they were now a mere 2 inches tall. Sans, however, was unaffected by the slight heat, the skeleton rushed over to his friend's side, pressing a finger to their chest, feeling their soft heartbeat and sighing in relief. Guilt flooded his expression as he gently picked up his closest friend, muttering a soft apology,"I-i'm s-so sor-rry."

Slowly he stood,as much as he wanted to regret his actions,he knew he had to make sure his tiny pal was alright, while he may have been unscathed he heard their cry of pain,he knew he broke his word. They did get hurt. He made his way to his room, setting (Y/n) on his bed, making sure to be careful,as of she were made of glass and would break at the smallest mistake. He muttered,"I'm going to fix this (Y/n),I promise."he gently ran his finger over their head before heading out to look for his research.

Little did he know his tiny friend wouldn't be his friend for much longer, they were waking up...

Your POV

As I woke up,I tried to look around, though my blurry vision made this task almost impossible, for a second,I closed my eyes, trying to remember where I was or how I got here, anything, but it was all in vain, the only thing I remembered was a searing pain then darkness. Rubbing my eyes vigorously,I opened my eyes and looked around yet again, only to have my heart skip a beat. Quickly I scrambled to my feet,my eyes widened in terror,I was on a giant bed, with no memory of how I got here.

My face paled. Hearing the thumping of what I only assumed could be a giant's footsteps heading right towards where I was,my mind was panicking so I quickly slid off of the bed with sheets that were hung loosely on the side of the mattress and weighed to the not-in-jumping distance of the floor. Scanning the area I saw a desk beside the bed, scrambling not so gracefully towards the area between it and the wall,I heard a last thudding of a door hitting the wall and finally squeezed between the desk and the wall.

Hearing a gasp,I looked up and saw a giant, what I was expecting but it was a skeleton and it was seemingly looking for something and my suspicions were confirmed as I heard the unfamiliar skeleton yelling out,"(Y/n)?!" As much as I was surprised he,I assumed from the deep tone of voice that was oddly comforting, knew my name, that didn't distract my fear as he caught sight of me,shaking,I shuffled even further back as I heard his footsteps being directed towards me.

Author's POV

As soon as Sans saw his tiny human friend cowering from him,he instantly became concerned,he knew that he was now taller than them by a lot but he knew that his friend wouldn't be that terrified of him. No matter how much he wanted to comfort (Y/n),he saw the fear on their face,he instead knelt down, looking at his friend, saying to them softly,"Are you alright (Y/n)?" Again, they were surprised how this giant they'd never met knew their name, they shivered as dark thoughts clouded their mind.

Sans didn't want to scare them yet he needed to know what was wrong with them so he gently picked them up,wrapping his fingers gently around their torso, lifting them up and out of their hiding place. (Y/n) on the other hand was freaking out, struggling against his grip as much they could, their tiny form trembling in fear as horrifying scenarios flashed in front of their eyes, making them struggle even harder. "What's wrong?" his deep voice chimed to (Y/n) as they shook in terror.

Then, something clicked for him,"You don't remember me....do you?"his tone was hurt but he knew it wasn't their fault,(Y/n) shook their head hesitantly as if afraid of some sort of punishment. Instead, they were gently hugged to his chest,as their brain screamed at them to struggle, something in their gut told them they shouldn't. Their tense muscles loosened as they gripped the soft fabric of the skeleton's shirt, pressing their face into the material,a smile floating onto their face.
