Hinata's eyes glazed over as she smiled slightly watching the guys of the baseball team practice. Her main focus was on the blonde head boy who argued with a raven who threw the ball too hard for his liking.

She watched as the blonde boy gritted his teeth and threw his catcher's mitt on the ground and challenged the raven to a fight. A brunette stepped inbetween the two, placing his hands firmly on both of their chest, telling them that they both needed to chill out. The raven told the brunette that the blonde was too sensitive and he needed to get over himself if he wanted to play this sport. The blonde roughly called the raven an asshole and stalked away.

"Those two are always at odds." Ezra, Hinata's best friend spoke as the two sat contently on the bleachers behind the batter's cage. She took in a large breath as her golden irises scanned their surroundings. "I wonder will they ever get along again."

A soft chuckle escapes Hinata's lips. "Sometimes I wonder that too." She speaks softly, the wind the only thing carrying her voice for anyone to hear. "Sasuke's always the one to pick the fights though. It all started when he started dating Karin."

"I mean I would be protective over my cousin too." Ezra says with a shrug.

Hinata shook her head from side to side. "No, that's not it." She says as her eyes quickly finds the Blonde. He sat on the bench, leaning forward, arms resting on his knees as he glared at the raven. His nose slightly flared and he slightly turned his head to the side to spit on the ground, using the back of his hand to wipe off any access saliva he may have had on his lips. "Naruto and Sasuke actually used to get along quite well before he started dating his cousin. They became at odds because Naruto felt as though Sasuke could've at least asked him would he be cool to date his cousin."

Ezra snored, rearing back and placing her elbows on the bench behind her. She tilted her head back to look up at the clear sky. "What is he? Her father?" She says.

Again Hinata giggled. "No, but Naruto is really protective about those he cares about."

"Hn, if I wasn't mistaken Hina, I would think you like Naruto." Ezra eyes Hinata from the corners of her eyes before looking back up at the sky. The blue haired girl blushed slightly before shaking her head.

"I don't like him like that." She says confidently. "Naruto is a nice person. You would know that if you talked to him. Don't you have classes with him?"

"Yeah and all he ever does is disrupts the class by his annoying snoring." Ezra frowned. "I don't think the two of us would get along."

Hinata pursed her lips into a smile as she continued to look at Naruto. She always came here after school for about thirty minutes just to watch the guys practice. A little ways over were the cheerleaders and their practice were in motion as well. They'd usually practice in the gym, but since it was such a beautiful day outside for it to be close to December, they decided to practice outside. They'd usually be on the football feild, but they're getting the feild redone.

Hinata took in everything that was Naruto Uzumaki. His blonde hair, his clear cerulean irises. Those birthmarked whiskers plastered across his freckled cheeks. His tall lean stature. The way his baseball uniform was clinging to his toned body. He was a handsome guy, she couldn't lie about that— but his temper was something completely different. Naruto always got into fights. He was always alone and people pretty much steered clear of him.

Hinata always thought something about Naruto was different. No, It wasnt just his birthmark. It wasnt because he was loud and obnoxious— because Kiba was annoying too. It was something she just couldn't put her finger on.

Taking a deep breath, Hinata leaned down and grabbed her backpack as she stood and slung it over her shoulder. She looked down at Ezra, who was still looking up at the sky.

"You coming?" She asked quietly. Ezra's eyes traveled over to her. She quickly stood and grabbed her bag.

"Yeah, Let's go."

The two girls walked down the bleachers talking about anything under the sun. They both made their way across the feild, and eventually to the school entrance gates. The exited the school together and headed down the sidewalk towards their homes. Once at their crossing, where they usually split ways, the two hugged briefly before parting.

"Text me once you made it home." Hinata says."

Ezra throws a flimsy wave as she tucks her hands behind her head and slowly walks towards her home.

Hinata smiled turning to walk in her own direction.

Slamming his locker shut, Naruto exhaled slowly and leaned down to grab his backpack. He turned on his heels and without so much as a word to his fellow teammates, he left the locker room. As she walked across the feild to the exit at the back gate of the school, he could see who he labeled his ex-best friend, Sasuke Uchiha smiling and talking to Naruto's cousin Karin. His arms firmly wrapped around her waist and her arms around his lean torso. Her hands under his shirt, scratching at his skin. Whatever it was they were talking about had the both of them smiling. It sickened Naruto.

He'd usually not care who his cousin or best friend dated, but the fact that they're dating each other bothered him to the core. Maybe if Sasuke would've came to him as a man this wouldn't be a problem. Sasuke knows how protective he is over Karin or anybody that the blonde may feel strongly about. So for Sasuke to not even have the common decency to let him know he liked his cousin bothered him. But Sasuke didn't see it that way; and that's where they fell out.

"Naruto, you're ready?" Karin snatched Naruto out of his thoughts. When he looked up from the ground, both her and Sasuke's eyes were on him. He frowned once seeing that the raven was starinf at him and turned away.

"Yeah, if you are." He mumbles. "I don't want to cockblock or anything. I'll wait in the car."

With that he walked over to Karin's Toyota Camry and opened the passenger door. He slid into the passenger seat and set his bag on the floor of the car. He huffed and watched from the side mirror as his cousin kissed the raven goodbye and floated over to her car so drunk on love, Naruto swore she had hearts dancing around her head. She got into the driver's seat and cranked up the car. After the two placed their seatbelts on over them, Karin backed out of her parking space and out of the student parking lot.

"Karin I have a question." Naruto says slowly. He looked out the window watching as car either wizzed past them or pedestrians walking along the sidewalks.

Karin hummed a slow sigh. "What is it Naruto?" She asked. "Is it about Sasuke again?"

Naruto frowned. His silence answering her question fully. A smirk tugged at her lips.

"Look Naruto, we're together okay?" She says. "He misses you. You were his best friend. It wouldn't hurt you if you just be nice to him."

"He didn't even have the common decency to tell me he even liked you in the first place." Naruto says. "What kind of best friend is that?"

"Naruto it's not that easy to tell you something like that." Karin argues. "I'm the one who pursued Sasuke. He didn't pursue me."

"He still should've told me." Naruto finds himself saying.

"It's okay if you miss him too." Karin smirks at her words knowing she got the blonde riled up.

"Hell no I don't miss that bastard!" Naruto spat with a frown. "Screw him!"

Again, Karin hummed a sigh. This sigh was more amusing than the last.

"Naruto, there's nothing wrong with missing your best friend." She says. "He tells me he wish the two of you can make up all the time."

Silence.

"Just talk to him." She stressed. "It's nothing wrong with that."

"I don't wanna talk to him."

"For once in your life, stop being so stubborn." Karin huffs. "But whatever. Do what you want. What was your question?"

"It doesn't matter." Naruto answers smartly. Karin rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Not asking again." Karin says. "So this is it."

Silence again.

"Do you love him Karin?" Naruto asked softly. Something she was never used to. She looked over at him briefly before she turned back to the road.

"More than you'll ever know." She spoke with a soft smile. "I always did."

"How come you never told me?"

"Because you would've thought it was gross." Karin says certainly. "Your cousin and your best friend? The thought makes your stomach turn doesn't it?"

Naruto looked at the side of his cousin's face as she drove. He blinked a few times beforebhe turned his attention back out the window.

"It does." He says. "Only because I was left in the dark about it. I know he wouldn't hurt you. And I know you wouldn't hurt him. Simply because you guys don't want to put me in the middle of it—"

"True." Karin nods.

"— but even still, you guys should've told me how you two felt about one another instead of having me find out on my own. I-I felt betrayed."

"I'm sorry." Karin says as she pulls into the driveway of their home. She turns the car off, removes her seatbelt and turns to face him. Reaching over, she placed her hand on his and he met her gaze. Karin pursed her lips into a smile as she looked at him sincerely. "I really am. You're right, we should have told you. You're not a child."

"I-I forgive you." Naruto quickly looks away. Karin's smile widened. She removed her hand from Naruto and grabbed her things. "Come on, I'll make enchiladas for dinner."

Naruto quickly perked up and grabbed his things as well exiting the car.

The next day Hinata and Ezra made it to school on time. They walked through the halls and to their locker. Since their school is pretty much over populated, they have to share lockers. Ezra approached her locker where she seen a certain Raven haired boy digging inside. She shoved his shoulder. The raven turned to glare at whoever it was to touch him, but upon seeing her, his icy glare somewhat softened.

"You're gonna get enough of that." He says as he grabs his books and sidestepps over to the right. Ezra smiled and began to grab her books as well.

"Good morning to you too Sasuke." She says as she stuffed her books in her bag. "Where's Karin?"

"She's not here yet." He answers. His eyes travel over to Hinata who paid neither of them any mind.

"Goodmorning Hinata." Sasuke speaks to her. She looked his way and pursed her lips together. "Good morning Sasuke, how are you?"

"I'm good." He says with a nod. "And you?"

"I'm good." She replies.

"Hina don't talk to him!" Ezra says closing the locker. "We don't speak to duckbutts."

Sasuke snorted and reached out to playfully attack Ezra, but she slipped away before he could grab ahold of her.

"You're annoying." He says. Slinging his bag over his shoulder. "I'll see you in class." With that he turned and headed down the hall.

"You and Sasuke seem to be getting fairly close since the two of you share a locker." Hinata smirks as the two of them head to her locker.

"Ya'know, in a duo of friends, there is always the sweet one and the asshole one." Ezra says stuffing her hands into the pockets of her jacket. "In this case, there's two."

Hinata giggled. Her laughs subsided when she saw a blonde bush digging in their locker. Her breath hitched. The look in his eyes pure annoyance, yet still sleepy. His lips turned down into a slight scowl. He was dressed in typical fitted jeans, the ones that aren't too tight and aren't too baggy. A nice fitted white V-Neck and an orange unzipped jacket. His orange backpack sitting on the floor on the side of him as he gathered his things. Once he was finished, he slammed the locker shut and picked up his bag and placed the books inside. Zipping up his bag, he threw it over his shoulder and headed down the hall. Hinata's eyes followed.

After Himata grabbed her things from her locker, the bell rung indicating that it was time for classes to start. The two girls bidded eachother goodbye before they went their separate ways to class. Hinata walked into her math class and sat in her usual seat. Taking out her notebook and textbook she set them on the desk before searching for a pencil. Once all her things were ready she sat and waited for their teacher to come in.

The door to the classroom opened and Naruto walked in yawning. He strolled over to the far end of the classroom and walked towards the back of the class before sitting down.

"Hinata." A voice calls her name. Turning towards it, she seen the brunette from yesterday that broke up Naruto and Sasuke's fight. He smiled at her.

"Kiba." Hinata blinked wondering why he called her for.

"I-I was wondering if you could help me with something." He says. He moves himself from his seat, paperband pencil in hand. He sits in the seat in front of her and the turned to place the paper on her desk. She looked down at it.

"I understand the homework." He continues. "But this one problem really confused me. And considering you're like the smartest in this class, I was hoping you could help me out?" He smiles after his sentence hoping she would help him.

"You did the work correctly," She starts. "But your answer is wrong. You were suppose to divide miles by hour, not hour by miles."

Kiba's eyes twinkled as he looked down at his paper and immediately erased his work before starting over. Once he was finished he looked over at Hinata and she nodded in confirmation. He smiled once again.

"Thanks Hinata." He says getting his paper and standing up. "You're the best. I owe ya one!" He quickly scurried back to his seat.

To Ezra👭:
Your boyfriend Kiba isn't as dumb as he looks 🤷🏾‍♀

From Ezra👭:
Definitely not my boyfriend 😫

I say he's cute ONE TIME and you hold it against me. 🤦🏾‍♀

To Ezra👭:

"Okay class before we start pass the homework up to the front." Hinata's math teach says as he walks into class. Hinata quickly stuffed her phone in her jacket pocket and passed her homwork ahead. She turned to grab the stack of papers behind her and watched as Naruto slumpped down in his seat, ready to go to sleep.

He never does his homework. She thought to herself.
