"Nice of you to finally join us Uzumaki." Asuma, his baseball couch says once Naruto reaches the feild in his uniform. He slumped over, hands on his knees panting heavily from running so much.

"Sorry I'm late coach." Naruto pants. "I-I bumped into someone and I wanted to at least help her pick her things up."

Asuma sighed. "Well since you ran all the way here, I won't make you take laps."

"Thank you." Naruto sighs with relief amd stood upright, placing his hands on his hips.

Naruto went through his practice with a breeze. He made sure he did everything he was suppose to do and made a beeline for the lockers. He showered thoroughly but quickly and changed into his clothes before he headed out.

He walked into the main building and made a beeline for the library. He peaked in the small glass window of the door and his heart fluttered. There, talking with three other girls, was Hinata. Her face was red, tears rolling down her face as she laughed with the girls. The four of them looked in the same direction, obviously being told to keep their voices down. He sees Hinata's soft lips move as if she was telling the librarian that she was sorry before turning to her friends and snickering.

She was so beautiful. He wondered why he never noticed her before. Even when he has words with her friend, he never noticed her.

"Dude, what are you doing?" A voice causes Naruto to jump. He whirled around coming face to face with Kiba, who looked at him curious. Eyebrow raises and head tilted.

"N-nothing." Naruto replies stuffing his hands in his pockets. Kiba looked at him weirdly as if he didn't believe him. He wanted to press harder, but knowing that would work up the blonde and challenge him to a fight, he sided against it.

"What are you doing here?" Naruto asks.

"I always come to the library after practice." Kiba smirks. "I come to do extra work for college credits."

"Hn." Naruto looked at Kiba impressed. "Who'da thought you was actually a smart kid."

Kiba frowned. "Fuck off Naruto." He says. "I may be a jock but I'm no slacker like the rest of you guys." Kiba pressed the door open. He looked back at Naruto. "Wanna come with me? You should do some homework."

Naruto thought for a second. He looked back in the library where Hinata was working peacefully at the table with her friends.

"Hm, sure." Naruto replies cooly. He placed his hand on the door and waited for Kiba to fully step inside. Naruto allowed the library doors to close behind him and he awkwardly stuck his hands behind his pockets, moving behind Kiba to find a good seat. Kiba found a table; surprisingly not too close and not to far from the girls' table. Light murmurs can be heard from their table as Ezra helped Tenten with her work.

Kiba took out his things and placed them all on the table. Naruto followed. Naruto looked up and his eyss quickly fell on Hinata. Her blue locks slipping over her shoulder and spilling onto the table as she tilted her head to write in her notebook. Her head traveled from her book to her notebook as if she were taking detailed notes. Her eyes concentrated and blocking out all surrounding activity. Naruto couldn't help but stare.

Kiba caught sight and looked over his shoulder at the table before smirking.

"So which one of them do you think is hot?" He whispers.

Naruto jumps and frowns looking at Kiba. "None of them."

"You're so fullashit Nard." Kiba snorts. "It all makes sense."

"What does?" Naruto's frown deepend.

"You looking through the glass when I walked up." Kiba says going back to his work. "You staring that way. You obviously think one of them is hot. I'm gonna find out."

Naruto's phone buzzed in his pocket and he quickly fishes it out. Karin flashed across the screen in big bold letters. He slid his thumb across the screen to answer the call.

"Hello?" He whispers into the receiver.

"Naruto where the hell are you?" Karin asked. "Practice has been over thirty minutes ago!"

"I'm in the library with Kiba." Naruto replies. "Doing work. I'll catch a ride with him."

There was silence on the other end. Karin sighed. "Alright. Be careful."

"Yeah."

Naruto ended the call and stuffed his phone back into his pocket.

"Why'd you just lie?" Kiba snickers. "You're here using me as an excuse to check out some girl over there."

"Shut up." Naruto grumbles.

With work successfully done, the girls grabbed their things and began walking out of the library. Naruto looked up just in time to see Hinata as she walked pass. They locked eyes for a brief moment and Hinata pursed her lips together for a smile. Slightly nodding his way, she continued her journey.

Kiba noticed and smiled.

"So it's Hinata isn't it?" Kiba says.

"Huh?" Naruto cocked an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

"You like Hinata dont you?" Kiba asks.

"Like her?" Naruto scoffs sitting back in his seat, letting his arms drag down the table as he did. "I dont even know her."

"You don't have to know someone to be attracted to them." Kiba points out.

"I'm not even sure if I can talk to her again." Naruto mumbles as he looked towards the library doors again.

"Woah again? When did this happen?"

"I bumped into her on my way to practice." Naruto looked down at his fingers on the table as he played with them. He ran his tongue across his bottom lip before bitting down on the right corner of his lip. "I helped her gather her things and walked her here. We talked, that's it."

"Don't corrupt the girl Naruro." Kiba says. "Hinata's a sweet girl. I would hate to see her done wrong."

"You like her?" Naruto asks.

"She's hot in a cute innocent cliche way," Kiba nodded. "But she's not my type. I like my girls with a little more spunk in them." He smirks after his words.

"What makes you think I'll corrupt her?" Naruto frowns.

"Naruto you're not a square." Kiba whispers dryly. "You always challenge everyone to a fight and everyone at this school pretty much fears you. Hinata is delicate. And her friends aren't going to let you to her so easily because of that."

"How do you known that?" Naruto says.

"One of her friends is Kauri." Kiba says in a duh sort of tone. "And that puffy haired girl is her best friend. She alone looks mean. Kauri, well we all know how she for Choji."

"She's so beautiful though." Naruto says breathlessly. He imagined himself and Hinata walking along the beach, the sun sitting on top of the ocean. The skies a rust color from the rays of the sun. Water shimmering as the seaguls played tag with the current. Their feet covered in wet and dry sand, creatinf an uncomfortable frictiom between their toes as they walked. They fingers interlaced with eachother as they walked side by side, their shoulders slightly bumping one another. They smile at eachother before looking ahead of them into the distance. Naruto looked down at her from the corners of his eyes. Her hair blowing in the wind like a beautiful flag. Some strands effecting her vision. She took her free hand and tucked those strands behind her ear. Naruto couldn't stop the blush from forming on his face. 

"You're smitten." Kina snickers. He then begans gathering his things. "Look, I'll do you a favor. She's in our math class. I'll put in a good word for you."

"I don't need you to speak for me Kiba." Naruto frowns standinf and slinging his backpack over his shoulder. The two made their way out of the library.

"Suit yourself then, good luck."

Hinata placed her phone down and listened to it continue to ding with notifications from the group chat. She sighed heavily and looked down at her hands. She then wrapped her left hand over her right wrist and stared. It was the hand that Naruto touched with his left hand. She felt the tingling of his fingertips on her hand. She felt her cheeks redden.

Naruto....
