Chapter 16

You dropped the phone knowing you made the correct firm choice. He has hurt you way too much to easily let him slip back into your life, any shape or form. It was time to end it in order not to be hurt again. You even decided to block his number and social media accounts.

The next day, you went into school as normal. Similar eye contact with Hyuk, but not anything in relation to him revealing anything he wanted to say.

It was lunch time and you went to queue up infront of the lunchtruck with a close classmate. You both talked about what you what plans you guys wanted to arrange during the weekend. There was a group of 'popular' boys and girls infront of you waiting also to buy food. They were probably friends or at least familiar with Hyuk.

As you and your friend were catching up on life you noticed a few glances from the group. You were unable to identify whether it was negative or not. You were trying to hear whether your name was mentioned within the conversation. Maybe it was just your paranoia.

"Hey... Is it just me or are they talking about us?" your friend even catched on.

You played it off as it was nothing and you didn't want to cause a scene in the first place, "Who would talk about us? It's probably nothing." you laughed. She shrugged her shoulders walking forward with you following as the queue shortened.

Soon afterwards, a tall brunette girl with pretty eyes approached the both of you.

"Hey, you're (y/n) right?" she said with a smile with the other guys seeming to mind their own business.

"Yes I am, you are?"

"I'm Kate. Anyway I've heard that you're pretty lit!"

"I'm lit-? " you raised an eyebrow trying to laugh along so it's not an arkward situation to be in.

"Of course she's lit!" your friend playfully nudged your shoulder.

"If that's the case, you should both swing by my party tomorrow night."

You were obviously not gonna go. Hyuk would most PROBABLY be there, plus you weren't exactly in the partying mood either.

"Of course we will!" Your friend answered before you even had the chance to open your mouth. You looked at her like 'what have you done?' to which she looked back at you whilst raising both her fleeky eyebrow, 'I just did you a favour'.

"Great! It's at 55 Willows St. You can't miss it."

"Thanks, we'll be there!" your friend reassured allowing the girl to walk back toward the group ahead. She bought the chicken wrap leaving you two finally arriving at the food truck counter.

After taking your food you stood aside to make room for the rest of the hungry people queueing up.

"You do realise I'm not going to that party right...?" you stated the obvious incase she was unaware.

"And why is that?"

"Are you really asking that?"

"Is this about Hyuk? Girl... Have you still not gotten over him yet?"

"Erm...I mean-" before you could even finish your sentence Hyuk pushed passed you without bothering to apologise or even take notice of you followed by Ken, Ravi and Hongbin behind him. Your blood started boiling.

"You know what. I've gotten COMPLETELY over Hyuk. I don't even know what I saw in him to be honest!" You said loud enough for him to hear. It felt so good to actually get that off your chest.

"Oooo, you hear that Hyukie?" Ken teased knowing he definitely heard. You didn't hear any reply but you felt satisfied.

Your friend stood there smirking at you. "So that means we're going? "

You nodded since you weren't going to let your ex-boyfriend ever be an obstacle to you having some fun. It was time to show yourself and him that you've gotten over him.
