Based on: Smiling Critters - Poppy Playtime - Chapter 3

Info About the Reader: Y/n was a just normal kid but doesn't have many friends in his life and his only friends are the Smiling Critters gang made by Playtime Co, a family friendly toy company that made amazing toys like Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs.

Then one day when Y/n went over to the Playtime Co, Orphanage/Daycare to stay there while his parents are doing some errands or go to work, he somehow managed to make friends with the smiling critters that suddenly loved and cared for him so much that Y/n laughed and played with them as he watched every episode of the Smiling Critters TV Show and enjoyed every minute of it.

Y/n could never have been happier than ever before in his life.

However, after the Poppy Playtime Co. Factory and Orphanage/Daycare Center shut down due to some "incidents" happening in there behind closed doors, the Smiling Critters' own love for Y/n still lingers in their minds and toy hearts as they planned to get Y/n back and turn him into a Smiling Critter with CatNap's Special type of Gas to use on Y/n to make it happen no matter how long it will take to get their friend back.

But then, many years later after Y/n reached to adulthood, he was dared by his so-called friends that were completely drunk as hell to go into the factory and stay there for a whole night as Y/n soon found himself back at the Daycare/Orphanage, completely run down and abandoned.

He eventually found the smiling critters in the factory that are all filled with so much joy to see their old friend back and now they don't want him to leave as they are determined to turn him into a Smiling Critter like them so he can be with him....Forever.

Characters:

Huggy Wuggy

Relationship: Fatherly Figure/Ally

After Y/n went through the first floor of the factory, he soon encountered Huggy Wuggy that wasn't trying to kill or harm, Y/n. He was trying to warn him about the Smiling Critters that are waiting for Y/n to come back to the Playtime Co. for them to kidnap him and turn him into a Smiling Critter like them. However, when Y/n tried to get out of the factory through the front door, it was suddenly chained up by the police that arrested them for trespassing on private property while being drunk, Y/n is forced to stay at the factory with Huggy until someone is able to get him out of the factory.

Huggy Wuggy is willing to protect Y/n the best he can like some sort of father figure to him from the Smiling Critters.

Mommy Long Legs

Relationship: Motherly Figure/Ally

When Mommy Long Legs thought Y/n was another intruder to be another plaything for her own games, it took her long enough to realize that it was actually Y/n himself after he saved her from her death with the grinder that her arm got caught onto. After that act of heroism, Mommy Long Legs apologize to Y/n for her actions and is willing to protect him from the Smiling Critters with the other toys and help Y/n get out of the factory safe and sound.

The Other Toys - Bunzo Bunny, Pug-a-pillar, Kissy Missy, Poppy Playtime, etc.

As the other toys from Playtime Co. like Bunzo Bunny, Pug-a-pillar, Kissy Missy and Poppy Playtime, they don't try to attack or harm Y/n in any way since they're friends with Y/n when the whole factory was still open before it shut down completely and they will do whatever they can to protect Y/n from danger as well as the Smiling Critters that have been waiting for Y/n to come back that also became monsters from the mysterious red gas from CatNap.

They all understand that Y/n didn't have many friends back then before he met the Smiling Critters, and they are willing to keep him company before they can help find a way out of the factory before the Smiling Critters could get him.

Realtionship: Toxic Friends

After seeing how Y/n felt lonely and sad because no one wants to be friends with him, the Smiling Critters decided to be friends with Y/n to make him happy and put a smile on his face. This actually went very well, and Y/n never had been so happy until the Playtime Co. company went downhill and was shut down permanently and Y/n never came back to see them. This has caused them to go crazy and obsessive towards Y/n as they kept waiting for their friend to come back to play with them to the point of insanity that they wanted to capture him and turn him into a Smiling Critter like them so that he will never leave them ever again.

Luckily for them, they soon found out that Y/n has finally come back to the factory, which is good enough for them to capture Y/n and use the gas from CatNap to turn him into a Smiling Critter like them, even if they had to break a few toys to make it happen.

This is based around the upcoming chapter for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 with the Smiling Critters, which really piqued my interest with those cute and cuddly plush dolls, especially the purple cat named CatNap that seems to be involved with the red gas that you had to wear the gas mask to protect yourself from the red gas.

I thought maybe writing the story based around the Smiling Critters and making the other Poppy Playtime characters like Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs and the other toys from both Chapter 1 and 2 as allies to the reader to protect them from the Smiling Critters until they can help Y/n find a way out of the factory to move on with his life or become a Smiling Critter like them and be with them forever.

I understand that the chapter won't be released around December 2023, but I bet it all be worth it to write this story once the chapter releases.
