In a mountain, Keith angrily followed Sophia into a room.

Keith: Sophia, what the hell were you thinking?!!! A monster from Darkness Dragon World was brought to Earth because of your stunt!!

???: Now now Keith, try not to be too hard on her.

I'm the room, Rouga, and Kyoya Gaen were already there.

Kyoya: Through that gamble of Sophia, we managed to get VERY useful information.

Keith: Yeah, at the cost of the Buddy Police possibly finding out about YOUR plan! And besides, that obviously changed the game!! I don't doubt in the slightest that Kaito could've beaten me before the Future Force in him activated, but it interfered nonetheless!!

Kyoya played on a piano.

Kyoya: Come on, why get so worked up? You know that if you used your real Deck, even beating someone like Ryu would've been simple for you.

???: I see you're up to your old tricks, huh Keith?

From an entrance, came the Aibo Student Council President Shido.

Shido: You're starting to-

Keith: -_- Sorry, I don't talk to weak scum that I wouldn't even need my actual deck to decimate.

Shido: HEY!!!

???: Kyoya.

Three dragons heads appeared in the air.

Kyoya: Well well, Azi Dahaka.

Azi Dahaka: I thought you might be interested in witnessing a rare spectacle.

A screen showing Gao and Kiri Buddyfighting appeared.

Keith: Woah, the kid's fighting against Gao?

Kiri using a triple offensive maneuver had taken out 7 of GAO's Life Points.

Keith: Okay, you did your thing with him Rouga. Where's Ryu in all this though?

ELSEWHERE

Ryu: I'm sorry, could you repeat that?

Ryu looked at Nobari and Sueroku somewhat dumbfounded.

Shido Senior: You heard me!! Your story is far to absurd to have any-

Blaze: -_- Ryu, just do the thing.

Ryu: -_- Like father like son.

Ryu took out his phone, before going into his camera role.

Ryu: I really didn't think I'd have to use it, but I had Paruko Nanana send me film from the fight.

He turned his phone around, showing that a portal was created, and Future Force indeed activate without their consent. Thankfully Paruko had no footage of Azure's transformation, but everything Ryu had said had happened.

Ryu: -_- Proof enough for ya?

Shido Senior: A-Ahem... Well... I suppose this was an... Oversight.

Stella: 'Understatement of the century.'

Nobari: *Sigh* Very well. Tasuku, you're allowed to stay on the Buddy Police.

Tasuku: Thank you sir.

Nobari: However Mr Mikado, let it be known that you using the Future Force at your own whim isn't something we will let happen at any time.

Ryu: Trust me, if I ever use that power, it's when I or other people are in danger, and nothing less. If you'll excuse me.

He turned around with a dignified huff. However he then turned back around, looking at Stella.

Ryu: Aha, actually, Stella, Blaze evolved, so we technically have to re-register him. You free?

Stella: Oh, of course!!

She came down, as the two walked to the receptionist desk. As the neared it, Ryu began to speak.

Ryu: Okay now that we're out of hearing range from them, I need you to not react from what I'm about to tell you Stella. Just act like we're having a normal chat.

Stella hearing this was inwardly confused, but put on quite a poker face smiling.

Stella: Right.

She began to go through the process.

Ryu: Stella, pass this onto Commander I. While at Sengoku, Azure was somehow able to unlock the Future Force.

Though she was surprised, she kept a calm expression while registering Blaze.

Stella: What do you think this means?

Ryu: I don't know, but I don't like it. I'm glad Azure is the one to have the power, but at the same time I'm worried.

Stella: ... You think the same thing might happen again don't you?

Ryu: Not entirely.

Blaze: Azure is older than Ryu and Tasuku were at the time, and he's strong willed. The chances of him being overwhelmed are slim to none.

Stella: Right.

ELSEWHERE

Kyoya: That Ryu, could be a problem if he's left unchecked.

Rouga: We already knew that. Something tells me he didn't even go all out in our match.

???: More on that boy however. He cut Mikado down to 3 Life Points on his first turn.

A man walked into the room, wearing a white suit, and having long green hair.

???: What beautiful technique, and his attacks: Flawless. You must introduce him to me. The great: Elf Kabala.

Keith: '-_- I'm surrounded by idiots.'

The fight continued, with Keith not having much interest in the Magic World Deck Gao used.

Shido: What's this? Mikado's using a Magic World Deck? This kid is really too much. Is there anything this kid can't-

???: Move it.

She was shocked hearing a voice, turning to see a girl wearing glasses, with ginger hair.

Shido: ... Terumi Kuchinawa right?

Terumi: Yeah, maybe. And you might be?

Shido: ONE OF THE TOUGHEST BUDDYFIGHTERS AROUND!!

Keith: Yeah, you're the weakest fighter in this room and I am willing to die on that hill

Kyoya: Shido, that's enough now.

Shido: A-As you wish sir!!

He bowed apologetically, while Keith walked over to Terumi, looking at her closely.

Terumi: W-What?

Keith: ... Could it be the glasses?

Terumi: H-Hey! You're too close!

Keith: Ugh, must be a coincidence.

The fight between Gao and Kiri progressed even further, as soon another face entered the room. A boy with brown and yellow hair walked in cockily.

???: This match is really heating up. Y'know those two kinda remind me of myself a few years ago. Will I get a chance to fight em? Hmm?

Kyoya simply nodded with his usual smile.

???: Alright. You won't be sorry Kyoya. I promise.

Keith: Wait your turn Davide, I've got business with Mikado.

Soon enough, like everyone had expected, Gao was able to prevail against Kiri. Finally, someone else had joined the group. It was a boy with red hair, with light blue eyes similar to someone else attending Aibo.

Keith: You take your sweet time don't you Gremlin?

TIME SKIP!!

Azure was strolling through Aibo, as it was early in the day.

Azure: Man, wonder where Ryu and Blaze are. I was hoping to get a fight in before class.

???/???2: Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo!

He heard music playing, rolling his eyes before smiling.

Azure: I'd know that tune anywhere.

He turned seeing Tetsuya and Asmodai, dancing while walking to music.

Azure: What's going on nutcases?

Tetsuya: Sup Azure?!

They began to walk down the halls, soon seeing Gao and Drum coming out of a room.

Tetsuya: A-Dog and I are practicing for a Super Fly dance contest yo!

Azure: Have any good bars for the melody?

Tetsuya: For sure!

Gao: Lay it on us!

Unknown to them, Terumi Kuchinawa wasn't too far by, having activated Disaster Force. She was aiming a mind control spell at Gao, ready to fire.

Asmodai: Mic check mic check!

Tetsuya: When I'm dancing to my jam,
Everybody knows who I am!

Asmodai: Just throw your hands up in the air,
And wave em like a Special Rare!

They danced moving around, as for some reason Terumi was pained, dropping her Dark Core Gadget, while releasing the spell.

Gao: Huh?

Gao turned seeing that she was back in her normal clothes, and also out of bed.

Gao: Better already? You're like a super hero!

Terumi: Yeah! I'm fine!

Azure: Someone's in there?

Azure walked in, seeing Terumi. When he did, he seemed to be frozen in shock for a moment, staring at her.

Azure: 'Huh?'

Terumi: S-Something wrong?

Azure: Sorry, you just... It's nothing.

Azure walked away, as both Gao and Tetsuya noticed that he looked like he had seen a ghost.

Azure: 'Argh, it's just a coincidence Azure. She's long gone now.'

He clenched his fist, and although Adamantine wasn't out in physical form, he could still sense the turmoil in Azure.

Adamantine: 'So, even after all this time you haven't completely healed my Buddy.'

Classes soon started, with everyone noticing Azure was slightly off the entire day. Both Karma and Ryu noticed, but we're unsure if they should leave it be. Once the school day was done, the two went over to check on him.

Karma: Hey Azure, you feeling alright today?

Azure: Huh? Yeah, why wouldn't I?

Ryu: Dude, you usually keep a complete poker face on during class. This one seemed more concerned than stoic.

Azure: Listen, you two don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine. I just... Got reminded of something from a long time ago.

He turned around, walking away. Ryu and Karma looked at each other, slightly confused.

Ryu: You know, I only now realize that we actually don't know a huge amount about Azure.

Karma: I uh... Huh. Now that you mention it, he kinda has been the biggest mystery out of everyone we know. We don't know anything about his hobbies outside of Buddyfight.

TIME SKIP!!

Azure walked outside on in a forest, as he had a book and pencil in hand. He drew his surroundings, sketching quickly, and quite accurately.

Azure: *Sigh* Saying that must've only worried them. I really shouldn't have waved something that obvious off.

???: DON'T COME ANYWHERE NEAE ME EVER AGAIN YOU GOT ME?!!!

Azure heard a shout, confused.

Azure: Who was that?

He went forward, looking to find the source of the shouting. He heard rapid footsteps approaching, looking around. Once he turned forward, he found someone bumping into him, causing them to be knocked down.

Azure: Hey, are you-

Azure looked down, seeing Terumi. However once he had seen her while using Disaster Force, and even greater shock filled him. Once getting a look at her eyes, he began to step back.

Azure: 'Th-Those eyes...'

Terumi: You! I was going after Mikado, but you just made my job a whole lot easier.

She got up, looking at Azure. She saw him stepping back, until he hit a tree.

Azure: Th-This can't be possible. Just who the hell are you?!

Terumi was confused, before meeting Azure's eyes.

Terumi: 'Wait... Could he be... No, that doesn't matter!' I'm Terumi Kuchinawa!! Azure Kaito, I challenge you to a Buddy Fight!! If I win, you have to listen to one of my demands!

Azure: ... Fine, but if I win, you're going to answer my question.

Azure pulled out his Core Deck Case, glaring at Terumi, who glared back with equal intensity.

Terumi: Release the Evil Eye!! Scatter Curses Everywhere!! Dark Luminize: Gorgon Empire!!

Azure: 'She's using a Dark Core?'

Terumi: Luminize your deck!

Azure: Tch! It's time to spread our New Wings wide!! We'll take down everyone on our road to Victory!! Triumphant Dragon Rule: Luminize!!

Azure&Terumi: Time to Raise the Flag!!

Azure: I'm with Ancient World. I'll take the first move. Charge and Draw.

She called a woman with the bottom half of a serpent.

Terumi: Next up with 1 Gauge, I call Gorgon Three Sisters Euryale to the right!!

She called an armed woman with angel wings.

Terumi: Lastly, I cast Power of Mythology!! With this, I increase the power of my monsters by 3000!

The two women glowed with power.

Terumi: Now Euryale, attack Hellish Blizzard!!

The powerful warrior went forward, skewering the dragon.

Terumi: With another Gorgon Three Sisters monster out, she can get a Double Attack!

She struck again hitting Azure, barely phasing him.

Azure Life: 8

Terumi: And now you Stheno!!

She attacked, damaging Azure again.

Azure Life: 7

Terumi: 'I've got it figured out. I don't doubt he'll call a big monster with much gauge because of Blizzard, and it may even be his buddy. But, I've got everything covered. Great Spell Thunder of Zeus will take his life points down, and with 2 Power of Mythology cards, I'm sure with the Spirit Potential power I can draw a card that would allow me to reduce his life to 0 on my next turn! This Buddyfight is as good as won!'

Azure gripped the handle of his blade tightly.

Azure: Draw!! Charge and Draw!!

Azure: Now, I Buddy Call to the right, Dragon King Adamantine!!

Adamantine emerged onto the field, looking at Terumi.

Adamantine: 'That girl...'

Azure Life: 5

Azure: Now, I Cast: Direct Awakening!!

Terumi: What's that?!

Azure: If I have Dragon King Adamantine Desolation in my hand, I can destroy Adamantine immediately to bring him out.

Azure destroyed Adamantine, with his life points dropping like a stone to 0, before rising again while glowing blue. Adamantine Desolation was out, roaring.

Terumi: You brought your Buddy's penultimate form on your first turn?!

Azure: Usually would've cost me 3 Gauge, but you lightened that load. But don't get it twisted, he's not staying like this for long.

Azure brought up a card.

Azure: I Evolve Adamantine Desolation!!

Adamantine roared, before evolving.

Adamantine: Dragon King Adamantine Tyrant Ruler is ready for battle!!

Terumi: There's no way!!

Azure: Here's something you won't like. Adamantine Tyrant Ruler gets an effect when Regular Adamantine is in his soul when he's summoned. If I discard a monster with life link, I gain Life Points equal to the monsters Life Link.

He held up King's Sword Dragon, as it had a Life Link of 3.

Azure Life: 8

Terumi: Unreal!!

Azure: There's more. If I discard cards from the top of my deck equal to the Life Link amount, you take the same amount of Damage.

Terumi: But a card like that couldn't exist!!

Azure removed the top three cards of his deck, with Adamantine glowing.

Adamantine: TYRANT BLASTER!!!!

He smashed his fist into the ground, as a golden light rushed towards Terumi, hitting her.

Terumi Life: 6

Azure: Now, Adamantine's other effect!! When I don't have an item equipped it takes 2 Life, but all of you monsters get destroyed!

Azure Life: 6

Adamantine: TYRANT CRUSH!!!!

The monsters on the field were destroyed, shocking Terumi.

Terumi: I-I can't believe it!

Azure: Now, attack the fighter!!

Adamantine flew in, hitting Terumi with his tail.

Terumi Life: 3

Azure: Double Attack!!

Adamantine: DRAGON SPIRAL STRIKE!!!

Adamantine struck Terumi one final time, as her flag was destroyed.

GAME OVER

Winner: Azure Kaito!!

Azure let out a sigh, grabbing his sword as it reverted to the Deck Case while he walked forward.

Azure: Now spill it! You've been making me feel beyond paranoid since I saw you today!! Who the hell-

Terumi: JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!

Azure stopped, recognizing the tone she took.

Terumi: You just always have to better at it all don't you?!

The girl seemed to tear up looking away.

Terumi: I guess that's why I wasn't good enough to save too!!

These words confirmed Azure's suspicions, as his eyes widened. Right then, he stretched out his hand.

Azure: Y-You're...

Terumi grabbed a card, before teleporting away. Azure seemed to shake, with tears forming in his eyes.

Azure: Why?

He fell to his knees, pounding his fist on the ground.

Azure: WHAT KIND OF SICK TWISTED JOKE IS THIS?!!!!

Tetsuya and Asmodai came running in, having seen Adamantine appear. The dancer seemed shocked to find Azure on the ground with tears sliding down his face.

Tetsuya: Azure, what's goin on man?!

Azure looked up at the duo, with a hurt expression.

Asmodai: ... Something tells me you and that girl have history.

Azure: ...

Tetsuya: What happened here?

Azure: ... Even though I won the Buddyfight, and got the answer I wanted... I feel like I just lost badly.

Adamantine reverted to mini form.

Tetsuya: Hey man, whatever it is that happened, you'll be able to get past it.

Azure looked at Tetsuya, who simply smiled couching down.

Tetsuya: You're like one of the toughest homies I know yo.

He got back up while spinning and starting to dance again.

Tetsuya: You might be sad but don't cry
Wipe off the tears coming from your eye!
And if you wanna ask me the question why,
Just look into that bright blue azure Sky!!

Azure was confused, before looking at the sky. As Tetsuya had said, it was a bright blue, with barely any clouds being visible. He took a breath, before standing up.

Azure: ... Thanks Tetsuya.

Tetsuya: Anytime yo!

Adamantine: Well?

Azure: Look, I don't feel ready to talk about it just yet, but I do admit I know that girl. It's a really long story.

Tetsuya: Well whenever you're ready, just hit me and Asmodai up!

Asmodai: Even though I'm a demon, I'm a good listener!

Azure smiled at this.

Azure: Thanks. Let's go Adamantine.

The two walked away.
