Keith was about to take another card, before stopping himself. This didn't go unnoticed by Gao Karma Tasuku and Ryu.

Keith: 'I actually slipped up there. I thought this was my real deck for a second.' Fafnir, attack Blizzard.

Fafnir flew forward, before biting the ice dragon, destroying it.

Keith: Now for a Double Attack!!

Fafnir slashed at Azure this time.

An armored red dragon appeared from Azure's hand.

Ryu: That's a new one.

Azure: When I do, I'm able to Equip an Item from my hand free of charge.

Right then, Azure equipped his blade.

Azure: Dragon King's Blade Arondight is on the scene.

He took another card from his hand.

Azure: I pay 1 Gauge and Buddy Call Dragon King Adamantine to the Right!

Adamantine flew in beside Azure, as he and Fafnir looked at each other.

Azure Life: 7

Azure: And now, King's Arcane Dragon.

He revealed the magical Dragon King, as Azure's Gauge increased to 2.

Azure: Now, time to attack!!

Azure jumped in, ready to slash at Fafnir.

Keith: Resonance!! I send True Dragon Steel Wing to the Fafnir's Soul!

A metal dragon appeared before going into Fafnir, as Azure destroyed Fafnir, only for him to reappear.

Azure: Double attack!!

Azure cleaved through Fafnir, however the dragon simply came back again.

Azure: You're up Adamantine!!

Adamantine: Dragon Fury Assault!!

Adamantine flew in, clashing with Fafnir. It took many strikes, but soon enough the dragon went down, before coming back.

Adamantine: Double Attack!!

Keith: Not this time!! I Cast: True Dragon Retaliation!!

Fafnir glowed before grabbing Adamantine's fist.

Fafnir: It'll take more than this to defeat me!

The True Dragon opened his mouth before firing an energy beam at Adamantine, destroying him, as the Dragon King revived with Soul Guard.

Keith: As a bonus that comes with destroying an attacking monster, I gain 3 Gauge for the size of the destroyed monster.

Azure: 'Shoot. I was hoping to at least get Siegfried out this turn.'

Gao: Adamantine just lost a Soul Card even though it was Azure's turn.

Tetsuya: He's completely cramping up Azure's game!

Ryu: Don't worry. Keith might've rushed the process, but I doubt Azure is more than a little disappointed that Fafnir Siegfried isn't out yet.

Kazane: Yeah. I can't believe he's back to 10 Life Points. It's like he just started the match.

Genma: Meanwhile, Azure's ready to be on his last legs.

Keith: So, this all you got? Here I thought you and Ryu weren't too far apart.

Azure looked up at Keith, slightly shaking.

Azure: 'Man, I can't tell which is higher. Keith, or my adrenaline.'

Keith: Now, Gale Force: Link Attack with Fafnir!!

The two dragons rushed towards Adamantine, with Gale Force creating a tornado to bind Adamantine, while Fafnir shot a fireball that lit the tornado of fire, burning Adamantine to a crisp, as he revived with Soul Guard.

Keith: Thunder Claw and Fafnir, do a Link Attack on Adamantine.

Thunder Claw rose an arm, before thunder flew out towards Adamantine. Fafnir flew as well, as the two attacks ripped through Adamantine. Soon after, Azure's life began to plummet.

Azure Life: 0

Once reaching 0, it glowed blue.

Azure: I use 1 Gauge!! Second Awakening!!

A gauge was consumed, as Adamantine came back out with wind kicking up.

Azure: DRAGON KING ADAMANTINE: DESOLATION!!!!

Adamantine: Now the real battle begins!

The two dragons were destroyed, with Keith smirking.

Keith: Now you're talking.

Azure looked at his core Gadget Sword that was stuck in the ground.

Azure held up a hand, with King's Shield Dragon, King's Sword Dragon, King's Arcane Dragon, Hellish Blizzard Dragon, King's Iron Fang Dragon, and a copy of Adamantine in the drop zone.

From the top of Azure's deck, a copy of Dragon King Adamantine and King's Arcane Dragon were put into the soul of his Buddy. However this did use 2 gauge.

Azure: Not done yet. I Cast: Kings Roar!!

Arondight began to glow, much to the confusion of everyone.

Azure: With this an Item on my field gains 4000 power until the end of the turn.

Rouga: So that means Arondight has a power of 14000.

Keith: You done yet? The spells are impressive, but you're stalling.

Azure: If you're getting annoyed with this, you REALLY aren't gonna enjoy my next move.

Azure held up yet another card.

Azure: King's Arrow Dragon's effect.

In the sky, a large dragon with arrows on it's wings appeared.

Azure: Say goodbye to Fafnir, cause with 2 gauge his effect can destroy one of your monsters.

King's Arrow: ARROW RAIN!!

Arrows began to rain down on Fafnir, much to Keith's shock. Fafnir was destroyed, as he held a card up.

Keith: You surprised me there, but this isn't over by a long shot Azure!

As his life points fell to 5, they glowed white.

Keith: True Lord Dragon Fafnir: Siegfried!!

Fafnir reappeared in his powered up form, facing Adamantine.

Karma: Something tells me that those two REALLY aren't fans of each other.

Keith: Well then? We don't have all day.

Azure: Fine then, let's get to it. Adamantine, you know what to do!!

Adamantine: SUPERIOR DRAGON CRUSHER!!

Adamantine prepared two blue orbs around his fist.

Keith: I Activate Fafnir Siegfried's Ability!!

Fafnir began to glow in a white aura once again.

Keith: This version of Resonance allows me to send a monster from my Drop Zone back to my deck! For the rest of this turn, Siegfried's defense and power are increased by that monsters same stats! I choose Gale Force!! Fafnir Siegfried has a Counter Attack to boot!

Gao: That's not good! The same thing from before will happen again!

Azure: I wasn't born yesterday!! From the Drop Zone: I activate King's Sword Dragon's effect!!

Azure Life: 2

The spirit of the dragon had emerged, with a blade being formed.

Azure: When Adamantine attacks, he's able to get King's Sword Dragon's attack of 10000 at the cost of 2 of my life for one battle!!

Ryu: Woah, is this really Azure playing?

Baku: That match you two had really inspired him bro. Azure's stepping up his game to make sure he doesn't lose due to lack of choices.

Adamantine grabbed the blade, cutting through Fafnir.

Fafnir: I admit it, you're easily one of the most powerful dragons I've ever fought with Adamantine!!

Adamantine cut through Fafnir, however the dragon had appeared once again, and this time slashed at Adamantine to destroy him as well.

Adamantine: The feeling is mutual. I wasn't gonna go down without taking you with me. Azure!!

Azure: Yeah!! Time for a Link Attack!!

Azure and Adamantine flew towards Fafnir, with Azure blocking an attack from the dragon, and Adamantine holding him still. Afterward, Azure flew up, cutting the head off of Fafnir.

Paruko: UNBELIEVABLE!!! ON THE TURN IT WAS SUMMONED, AZURE HAS BEATEN TRUE LORD DRAGON FAFNIR SIEGFRIED!!!

Keith's life began to tick down.

Gao: He's awesome!!

Ryu: Remember, Keith still had life points left.

Karma: Yeah, Azure's not out of the woods just yet.

Keith's life glowed white once more, shocking everyone.

Keith: You're something else you know that? For you to push me this far means you're a level of most Buddyfighters in Japan.

Keith held a card from his hand, as it was covered with a white and black aura.

Keith: However don't think Fafnir will be done in as easily as that.

Two Gauge was absorbed into the card, with it flying out of Keith's hand.

Keith: Come forth to appease your growing hunger!!! TRUE LORD DRAGON FAFNIR: DEVOURING!!!!

Fafnir had appeared once again, but this time his size was utterly ridiculous, along with his change in form.

Drum: Are you kidding?!

Karma: A third form?!!

Blaze: This Fafnir is even more powerful than I imagined.

Tetsuya: I didn't even know monsters could have defense that high without spells Yo!!

Gao: How do you break through a shield like that?!

Karma: Even Arondight with a power of 14000 isn't enough.

Azure: I-I... End my turn.

Fafnir: Be proud. Only a select few monsters have ever pushed me to this state. This is the very first time I've been in a Buddyfight inside this form.

Keith: My turn. Draw! Charge and Draw!!

Keith: Here we go. FINAL RESONANCE!!

Fafnir roared, glowing in a Black and White light.

Azure: Final Resonance?

Keith: Final Resonance isn't as simple as defense. Devouring can call regular Fafnir and Siegfried, downside, they only have 1 Critical.

Azure's eyes widened, as the two dragons were called to the left and right.

Gao: Th-This is Keith Victor?

Zanya: He's not just strong...

Ryu: He's a different beast.

Keith: Now, time to attack. Regular Fafnir and Siegfried, do a Link Attack on Adamantine!!

The two dragons flew forward, ripping through Adamantine destroying him. He revived with a Soul Guard.

Keith: Double Attack!!

The two monsters went back around, however Azure held up a card.

Azure: King's Shield Dragon nullifies that attack!!

The silver dragon rose, blocking the link attack.

Keith: Fafnir Devouring, show him why we're the best!

The large dragon looked over Adamantine lightning ablaze.

Fafnir: Great Dragon Devouring!!

Light surrounded Adamantine, making him scream, as he was flung towards Fafnir, be bitten in half, destroying his last Soul Card.

Keith: This will end it!! Double Attack!!

Fafnir held a hand out about to grab Adamantine.

Gao: If this destroys Adamantine, then it's all over for Azure!

Azure: I Cast!!

Azure Life: 1

Adamantine was surrounded by a protective blue shield, which Fafnir couldn't get through.

Azure: King's Bond!!

Keith: King's Bond?

Azure: I can pay 1 Life to protect Adamantine from destruction. I can only do it when I have five 5 life or below.

Keith: You survived destruction, but you won't survive the match.

End of Move

Fafnir and Fafnir Siegfried turned into orbs of light, with Fafnir Devouring swallowing them both.

Keith: Instead of being destroyed and sent to the Drop Zone, Siegfried and Fafnir are sent to Devouring's Soul. No Life Link damage at all.

Gao: 15000 Defense AND two souls?!

Ryu: Azure needs something major to get through this.

Azure: ... I think you might be the strongest Buddyfighter I've faced to date.

Azure clenched his fist, with his hair covering his eyes.

Keith: What? Losing your nerve? If that's the case then-

Keith stopped speaking, as soon he saw a bright blue aura around Azure.

Azure: Actually, I think it might be the opposite.

Everyone could see a Azure smirk, as it slowly began to grow into a full blown grin. He looked up, as his eyes glowed as well.

HIT THE MUSIC!!

Azure: I've never felt this fired up before!! This is the most my heart has ever raced when Buddyfighting!!!

Adamantine began to glow as well, matching Azure.

Adamantine: Even against Blaze, I've never felt so in synch with my Buddy! You're the exact kind of a challenge we need to become much stronger than before!!

I'm the sky, the clouds began to swirl more, as Azure's core gadget sword began to change, with Blue photon metal being shown. This didn't go unnoticed by Ryu and Tasuku, as Azure reached for the core.

Azure: DRAW!!!

He drew a card, before throwing it to his gauge.

Azure: CHARGE AND DRAW!!!

He drew a card, smirking.

Azure: Perfect! I Cast: King's Persistence!! When I have no cards in my hand, I'm able to draw 2!

Light from Adamantine and Azure came together, before shooting towards the card Azure was about to draw. He drew the card, as it seemed to be one he didn't recognize. It glowed in a bright blue aura like he and Adamantine.

Azure: What's this?

Adamantine: Azure!!

Azure looked up to Adamantine, who smirked while giving a thumbs up.

Adamantine: Our combined battle spirits has given us a chance to win again! Use that card to help me Evolve!!

Ryu: Did I hear that right?!

Drum: Adamantine just said-

Azure smirked raising his hand, as the Auras of it, he, and Adamantine changed to a brilliant gold.

Azure: I pay 2 Gauge to Evolve Dragon King Adamantine Desolation!!

Adamantine roared as he changed into a new form.

Adamantine: Dragon King Adamantine!!

Adamantine spread his wings, with the new drill on his hand spun.

Adamantine: TYRANT RULER!!!!

Keith: A Buddy Monster evolving mid battle?!

Paruko: THIS IS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF A NORMAL BUDDYFIGHT FOLKS!!! ADAMANTINE HAS EVOLVED INTO A COMPLETELY NEW FORM!!!

Baku: Crazy, and just look at his stats!!

Azure: Normally you'd be right, but Adamantine Tyrant Ruler isn't the same as his other forms! When he arrives on the field with Desolation in his Soul, I can destroy all of my opponents monsters!

Keith's eyes widened hearing that.

Azure: Show em Adamantine!!

Adamantine: Tyrant Break!!!

Adamantine held up his other hand as it glowed in a bright orange light. He swung his hand, destroying Fafnir, as the monster came back.

Fafnir: This power!!

Azure: Adamantine can also gain 1000 Power for each monster destroyed by this effect! Not exactly helpful with 1, but Tyrants Fury is a go!

Adamantine roared, glowing in a golden light.

Azure: Now, let's link attack!!

Azure flew in, slashing at Fafnir, who blocked quickly.

Adamantine: TYRANT DRAGON SPIRAL!!!

The drill on Adamantine spun, with energy surrounding it. He attacked, punching through Fafnir, who came back once again.

Azure&Adamantine: DOUBLE ATTACK!!!

Keith: Not yet!!! I Activate the effect of True Dragon Steel Wing in my hand!!

The rest of Keith's Gauge was used to block the attack.

Akatsuki: He was so close!!

Ryu: If Keith can't draw a card that can give Fafnir the power to get over Adamantine's defense, it might be game over.

Keith: You're one special fighter Azure! You've backed me into a corner! Now, I-

Before he could finish his sentence, the skies began to go dark.

Keith: 'Damn, something already happened huh?'

Kazane: What just happened?

Thunder struck the ground, scaring everyone. The core's of Ryu, Tasuku, Keith, Rouga, Sofia, Karma, and shockingly Azure had started to glow bright.

Ryu: What the?!

Keith's hair began to grow longer, with Disaster Force being activated. The same began to happen with Sofia and Rouga, with each of them noticing their power activate. Ryu's and Tasuku's Future Force began to activate as well.

Tasuku: The Future Force?

Takihara: Tasuku, what's happening?!

Tasuku: I don't know!! The Future Force activated without me wanting it to!!

Ryu: It happened with me too!!

They all looked up, seeing the clouds swirling, as a portal was formed. However while they did look up, everyone noticed Azure as well, who looked at himself. The golden aura around him was still there, however now his hair had grown to great lengths as well.

Azure: W-What's going on?!

Ryu: Azure?!!

Tasuku: Th-That glow!!

Keith looked down at Karma, seeing she hadn't changed much at all.

Keith: You miscalculated Sophia. Looks like we had 1 more right under our noses.

They heard a roar from the portal, as a purple light shone. Out came a dragon none of them recognized at all.

Ryu: What the hell?!!

Gao: What kind of Dragon is that?!!

Drum: I don't know, but it's not any that I've seen!!

Keith: 'Damnit Sophia, you'll end up throwing things into Chaos!!' Yo Buddy Cop, that thing's an illegal monster right?!

Tasuku: Y-Yeah! It doesn't matter if it's unknown, it came here without a card!!

The dragon roared, with people being blown back, and the ground cracking.

Ryu: Come on Blaze!!

Blaze grew to full size, with Ryu's Buddy Skill being activated.

Ryu: Time to take that thing-

Winds began to blow hard in the sky.

Baku: What now?!

The light from the portal glowed even brighter, as it seemed something else came out.

???: Are you this worlds greatest?

Takihara: A voice?

???: Do you believe you can stand against the coming storm? That you can rise to any occasion, and surpass it?

The light surrounded Ryu, confusing him. At that moment, he didn't exactly know why he thought of it, or what possessed him to even respond, but he did so without hesitation.

Ryu: Whatever it is, I'll take it on. No backing down.

The light started to die down, as Ryu looked up, seeing a humanoid silhouette. However before anyone else realized, the silhouette flew straight to Ryu, who crossed his arms. Instead of colliding with him however, it entered his body.

Ryu: O_O

Azure: Dude, what just happened?!

Ryu: I don't know, but for some reason I feel like I can hear colors.

Blaze: We might wanna get you checked out after that then.

Keith: If we can focus, there's a giant unknown Dragon we gotta take care of!!

Ryu: Oh crap right!! Conquering Hell Sword: Caliburn Inferno!!!

Ryu equipped the awakened Caliburn, flying up.

Tasuku: Jack, let's go to-

Before he could fly up, Tasuku's Future Force had been deactivated.

Tasuku: Huh?

Star Pulsar: Error!! Use of Future Force has been deactivated!!

Ryu continued flying up, clashing with the Dragon, as he and Blaze doubled teamed it. Azure saw Ryu, before looking at Adamantine.

Azure: Adamantine, do you think that this is?

Adamantine: Only one way to know for sure.

Azure nodded, with he and Adamantine flying up to the two. Azure pulled Arondight back, before slashing at the Dragon, managing to cut it's scales.

Azure: Arondight is real!

Ryu: Azure, however you're doing this, I'll ask about later! But now, I'll just say thanks!!

Ryu flew in, slashing the monster across the chest, as it was sent flying back.

Blaze: HELLFIRE WRATH!!!

A a blue fire version of Blaze formed, pushing the dragon back up into the sky. It began to push back, barely dispersing the flames. It roared, before rising back through the portal.

Ryu: It's getting away!!

Ryu was about to grab a card, before something interesting had stopped him.

???: I wouldn't, it's best to let the beast go back.

Ryu: O_O!!!

Blaze: Who was that?

Adamantine: Who was who?

Ryu: Wait you didn't hear that?!

Azure: Hear who?

Keith: 'What the hell are they going on about up there?'

Azure began to go back to normal, with the power of the Future Force leaving him.

Ryu: 'He's back to normal.'

Keith's deactivated Disaster Force, looking at Azure.

Keith: YO!! I know a lot just happened there, but we still have a match to finish!

Azure: Ah crap!

Azure flew down immediately getting back into position.

Keith: Alright, let's keep it going!! Draw!! Charge and Draw!!

Keith adorned the chest plate, shocking everyone.

Karma: That's the last thing we needed!!

Fafnir roared glowing with power, flying towards Adamantine.

Paruko: Now that I'm not too terrified to speak anymore, Adamantine only has a single Soul Card left!! If both these attack connect, it's over!!

Fafnir ripped Adamantine in half, with the large dragon coming back with Soul Guard.

Keith: End this with Double Attack!!

Fafnir went towards Adamantine, before biting him in half, destroying him.

Rouga: Looks like this match is over.

Azure: CAST!!! KING'S DECLARATION!!!

Before Azure's last life point could drop, the Life Link damage was stopped.
