Ryu was currently up on the roof of the School with Gao Drum and Blaze.

Gao: I cast, Green Dragon Shield!

Gao held out his Green Dragon Shield Card in front of him with absolutely nothing happening.

Drum: 5 outta 10.

Blaze: 6 outta 10 for the feeling.

Gao: Very funny!

Ryu: Alright I'm gone now.

Ryu got up from the bench and started walking away with Blaze following. Gao would have tried to stop them but remembered Ryu was the hardest person in the known world to get learn a secret from.

Blaze: You known you could at least explain it to him.

Ryu: I could, but I have other things on my mind right now.

Blaze: Is it that feeling again?

Ryu: Yeah. The last time it happened in a dream, but this time it's real.

Blaze: Well I cant help you with that if I don't get a similar feeling.

Ryu: Lets just head to class before the bell rings.

They headed inside the class and on the way, the feeling began to grow stronger.

Ryu: Ok now I know somethings up. It's getting even stronger now.

Blaze: Ok if its getting stronger, than where does it intensify the most?

Ryu began turning around and stopped when he was north.

Ryu: This way.

Ryu began walking and noticed something else.

Ryu: Wait a minute, now it feels like it's following me.

Blaze: Well try and walk away and see if it's a coincidence.

Ryu did so as Ryu walked straight down the hall. When it felt like the source was getting closer Ryu felt is disappear.

Ryu: AND~ it just stopped.

Blaze: Well then nothing we can do about it, let's just go.

Ryu: Right.

As he turned around Ryu bumped heads with someone not knowing they were there. They both immediately fell backwards hitting the floor.

Ryu: Ow ow ow!!

???: Argh!! Sorry about that.

Ryu: It's fine, just watch were you're going next ti-

They both looked up to see each other's faces. Ryu noticed that the individual had bright red hair in a ponytail while she wore a red T-shirt, a black leather jacket, and matching skirt.

Ryu: 'Sheesh, edgy much?'

She opened her blue eyes and saw that it was Ryu she bumped into. Stars started to for in her eyes as she began fangirling.

??? (Most Likely a new Character): Oh my God your Ryu Mikado!!

Ryu: Uh, yeah.

???: I can't believe I'm really meeting you! Your the Buddyfighter that takes in Criminal Fighters without even being in the Buddy Police!

Blaze: Yeah that's him.

She looked at Blaze and got even more excited.

???: And your Blaze! I've always wanted to meet the two of you in person!

Ryu: Well I guess it's nice to meet a fan. By the way, not trying to be rude or anything, but what are you doing here?

???: Oh right, I'm a new student here at Aibo. I was looking for the 6th Grade Class and thought you might be able to give me directions.

Ryu: Well I was just about to get there. I'll take you.

???: Thank you!

Ryu: No problem, uhhh-

???: Oh, I didn't even give you my name! I'm Karma Gemini!

Ryu: Well it's nice to meet you Karma.

Ryu extended out his hand which Karma gladly shook. They began walking to class as Ryu had a sudden realization.

Ryu: 'Wait a minute, she must've been the person I got the feeling from. Must've been why she stopped.

Ryu opened the door as the bell rung.

Mr. Netsuke: Ah there you are Ryu, and I see you brought the new transfer student with you.

Ryu: Yep. Right before class started too.

Mr. Nestuke: Well would you like to introduce yourself.

Karma: Gladly!

She went over to the board and wrote her name. (Pretty sure this is a tradition in Japan so why not?)

Karma: My name is Karma Gemini, I hope to become good friends with everyone!

Time Skip!

While the Judo class went on, Ryu was outside fine tuning his deck. When suddenly he noticed that Karma was in front of him.

Ryu: Oh, hey there Karma.

Karma: Hi Ryu! I wanted to ask you a question

Ryu: Sure, all ears.

Karma: Why aren't you in the Judo class like everyone else?

Ryu: Oh that? Well, I kinda gave up martial arts. And pretty much almost fighting in general.

Karma: Really? Aren't you Gao's cousin. He fights for Championships doesn't he?

Ryu: Yeah, I did to, but I stopped.

Karma: Was it just not your thing?

Ryu: Well, it was more complicated than that. You see, about a year back, I was in a Championship match and pretty much dominated the fight without much effort, that's how it was with all my matches. I already started loosing interest in Judo before then but after what I saw that match, it was settled. I saw the look on the guys face when I fought, it was like his entire spirit was torn out of his body and ripped in half. I didn't like the taste that left in my mouth. I even noticed it in some of my Buddyfight's when I won in a single turn. With something that big it made me realize: I should never try to completely destroy my opponents. It makes them lose their will. I could still easily beat people like that but it just wouldn't be right. That's how I stopped.

Karma: Wow, I... Never looked at it that way before. But you said almost.

Ryu: Oh yeah, well a little incident with Gao and someone else Kinda reignited that flame but in a different way. I promised myself that the only time I would ever fight again was when somebody needed help.

Karma: That's a pretty good code to live by if you ask me.

Ryu: I guess it is. Alright done.

Karma: Hm? Done with what.

Ryu: I was fine tuning my deck.

Karma: Your were?

Ryu: Yup. I needed to balance out my new card. Now it should be good to go.

Karma: Well how about I be your test run?

Karma held up her hand showing a Core Gadget.

Ryu: Your a Buddyfighter?

Karma: Sure am!

Ryu: Alright then, let's go!

Ryu walked to a tree before turning around. They were about to Luminize their decks before they were interrupted.

???: How about you you test your metal on me?

They both turned to see Rouga Aragami there with Noboru.

Ryu: *Sarcastically* Oh sure, just accept a challenge from someone who just interrupted us. Get lost Rouga.

Noboru: Why, you scared?

Ryu: Noboru, do you wanna test your skill?

Noboru stepped right back into his place much to the pleasure of Karma.

Karma: Well looks like he's as scared as the kitten on his shirt.

Noboru: It's a Tiger!!

Rouga: What happened to the invincible Ryu? Is he to busy with his girlfriend?

Ryu&Karma: We're not dating!

Ryu: Rouga if you really wanna Buddyfight me than try going against Gao, he's more than enough for you.

Noboru: Are you kidding he's still a novice! How could he stand a chance against Rouga?!

Rouga: Are you mocking me?!

Ryu: No. I'm dead serious right now. If you can win against Gao than I'll gladly Buddyfight you. I'll warn you though he's been watching me for longer than you think.

Rouga: Fine then!

Rouga stormed off with Noboru not far behind. Karma had a grin the entire time that went on.

Karma: The might be one of the funniest things I'll ever see in the school!

Ryu: If you think that's funny, wait until you see Tetsuya and Asmodai. Now let's get started.

Karma: Alright. Crushing down anything that stands in our way, Luminize: Fearsome Demons!

Karma's Core Gadget turned into a necklace.

Ryu: Burn away my opponent with Blazing Flames! Hell Fire Dragons: Luminize!

Ryu&Karma: Time to Raise the Flag!!

Ryu: Dragon World!

Ryu swung his Flag back and fourth.

Karma: Danger World!

Karma had her flag at her side while her Buddy revealed itself. It was a large Armored Wolf with piercing yellow eyes.

Armored Wolf: You need me Karma?

Karma: We have a tough fight ahead of us Talon.

Blaze: Ryu, I know that card.

Ryu: So do I. Armor Demon Wolf Talon. It's a seriously rare monster from the Danger World. Alright I think I'll take the first move. Charge and Draw.

Ryu threw a card from his hand to the gauge.

Ryu: I call, Hell Ash Dragon to the center!

Ryu called an orange scaled dragon with flames emitting from it to the center.

Hell Ash: I think I want to hunt danger world monsters today.

Hell Ash Dragon.

Defense: 5000
Critical: 2

Ryu: When I call Hell Ash, I add a card to my hand, and I gain 1 gauge.

Ryu drew a card seeing Dragon Emperors Kingdom and he gained 1 gauge.

Ryu: Now I pay 3 Gauge and Cast, Dragon Emperors Kingdom!

Ryu used the Set Spell slightly worrying Karma.

Karma: There it is.

Ryu: Alright Hell Ash, attack Karma!

Hell Ash: Burning Ash!

The dragon shot out a breath of ashes that lit on fire and attacked Karma.

Karma Life: 8.

Core Gadget: End of Move.

Karma: Alright. Draw! Charge and Draw! I call Armor Demon Ogre to the right!

She sent out a monster that resembled an Armorknight Ogre but bigger, more armored, and more demonic looking in general.

Ryu: So that's an Armor Demon huh? I've only ever heard of them until today.

Karma: Get ready to see their power first hand. I call Armor Demon Eagle to the left!

She called another minster that looked ready for a fight.

Karma: Now

Blaze: Why do I have a feeling that I know where this is headed?

Karma: Now I pay 1 Gauge, and Sacrifice Eagle, to Equip Savage Spear!

From the card came a Spear with a serrated spiral. She jumped to where Eagle was and stabbed it through him, destroying him and putting him into the drop zone.

Ryu: Different Fighter same results huh?

Penetrate. Double Attack.

Karma: I attack Hell Ash Dragon with Savage Spear!

Karma spun the spear in her hand while running towards Hell Ash. She appeared in front of him, stabbing through him.

Karma: Lets not forget Penetrate.

A wave of Darkness hit Ryu.

Ryu: Grr.

Ryu Life: 8

Karma: Double Attack!

He took the attack head on not guarding.

Ryu Life: 6

Karma: Do your thing Ogre!

Ogre ran towards Ryu and shot him with bullets coming from his shoulders.

Ryu: Cast: Blue Dragon Shield!

Ryu guarded the attack and gained 1 gauge.

Core Gadget: End of Move.

Ryu: Not bad. Draw! Charge and Draw!

Blaze: Let me at her Ryu.

Ryu: If you want Blaze. First off, I cast Dragonic Charge!

Ryu's gauge went up to 4 as he smirked.

Ryu: Alright one more. I cast, Dragonic Charge!

Ryu's gauge had been brought up to 6.

Ryu: I Buddy Call Chaotic Emperor Blaze Dragon to the right!

Blaze flew into action ready to fight.

Ryu Life: 7

Ryu: Now I call to the right, Hellfire Dragon Sage!

Ryu called an old looking Dragon.

Dragon Sage: You need help my boy?

Hellfire Dragon Sage

Defense: 3000
Critical: 1

Ryu: Yup. This'll be a doozy. I pay 1 Gauge and activate his effect! The cost of all of my Items become 0 for the rest of my turn, at the cost of Sage.

Karma: 'That's not good.'

Sage: Win this one my boy.

Sage disappeared in a blue light going into the drop zone.

Ryu: Get ready. I Equip Emperors Hell Blade Caliburn!!

Ryu broke Caliburn from its restraints shocking Karma.

Karma: No way! You really have it!

Ryu: Lets move in. Blaze, Attack Karma!

Blaze: Burning Hell Stream!

Blaze charged up a breath attack but Karma had other plans.

Karma: I Cast: Battle Aura Circle!!

She blocked the attack making Blaze go back.

Ryu: Don't forget, Blaze has Double Attack!

Blaze went up in the air before dropping down.

Karma: Another one! Battle Aura Circle!!

She blocked another one of Blazes attack as he landed back on Ryu's side.

Blaze: Drat!

Ryu: Don't worry Blaze, I got this. I attack with Caliburn!

Ryu ran forward with Caliburn and attacked Karma.

Karma Life: 5

Ryu: Don't forget Double Attack!

He swung the blade back hitting Karma a second time.

Karma Life: 2.

Ryu's Core Gadget: End of Move.

Ryu: Now, I pay 1 Gauge to move Blaze to the Center.

Blaze moved to the Center before roaring.

Talon: Alright Karma, show them what you can really do.

Karma: Well enough time has passed. I think it's time to take this to the next level right?

Ryu: I couldn't agree more.

Blaze: Finally. I thought we'd have to wait forever.

Karma: I draw! Charge and Draw!

Karma's Gauge had increased up to 3 as well as he grabbed a card from her hand.

Karma: From the darkest caves in Danger World, I pay 3 Gauge and Sacrifice Ogre to Buddy Call Armor Demon Wolf Talon to the Right!!

She payed 3 Gauge and destroyed Ogre to call the powerful Wolf to the right.

Ryu: Impressive already, but I know that isn't the end.

Karma: Your right. When I call Talon and I sacrifice a monster on the field, I can gain back 5 life. And I also get 1 cause of the buddy gift.

Karma Life: 8.

Blaze: A powerful ability indeed.

Ryu: Mm.

Karma: Now I call another Armor Demon Eagle to the left!

The demonized Eagle screeched ready time battle.

Ryu: 'She has no Gauge to cast a Spell or an Impact, assuming she even has one. So unless she has a card to increase her Gauge then she can't beat me. It's either a 50 50 chance, or she's got 2 cards in her hand that can both increase her Gauge, and one that could push the damage of her monsters even higher.'

Karma: I Cast: Demonic Charge! I can Gauge for every card on my field.

Ryu: And with that it's 3.

Karma: Now I Cast: Demons Wolfes War Cry!

Blaze: Demon Wolfes War Cry?!

Ryu: Ohhh Crap.

Karma: I guess you know about this card. When I have Armor Demon Wolf Talon on my field, all of my monsters get 2000 power and 1 Critical.

Ryu: Thats pretty bad yeah. Good thing your Item doesn't get the boost.

Karma: Well, you're not surviving past this turn. Talon, Attack Blaze!

Talon raised his arms up with the machine guns spinning and shooting at Blaze.

Karma: And now Penetrate!

Some bullets made their way to Ryu hitting him.

Ryu Life: 3

Ryu: Your forgetting, Blaze has Soul Guard.

Blaze Came back into the Center with a red Aura surrounding him.

Blaze: Your gonna have to try harder than that to get rid of me.

Karma: I do a Link attack with Eagle!!

Karma rushed towards Blaze with Eagle going over her.

Ryu: Not a chance. I Cast: Hell Dragon Protection! I send a Hell Dragon to my Drop Zone to reduce the Damage to 0!

Ryu sent a Volcanic Hell Dragon to the Drop Zone as Purple Flames surrounded Ryu. The attack hit Blaze and the wave of Darkness came at Ryu but it didn't affect him. Blaze returned as the red Aura was even more noticeable.

Karma Core Gadgets End of Move.

Karma: What is that?

Blaze: Considering it's rare that I am ever destroyed, it's reasonable for you to not know.

Ryu: Every time a card in Blazes Soul is removed, he gains 1000 Power but loses 1000 defense. It's his ability. Blazing Soul.

Karma: But that means-

Ryu: Yup. Right now Blaze has a Power of 12000. My turn by the way. Draw! Charge and Draw!

Ryu's Gauge was right then at 2.

Ryu: I pay 2 Gauge Cast: Emperor Slash!

Karma: Emperor Slash?

Ryu: I can destroy any monster on the field right now. And I choose Blaze.

He swung Caliburn at Blaze as it sent out a black flame wave Destroying him. He was brought back with the Blue Aura being even more intense.

Karma: Blaze? But that's crazy.

Ryu: Usually, but when Blazes Soul is dropped to zero, he gains 1 Critical!

Karma: He what?!

Blaze: Burning Overdrive!!

Blazes flame aura had turned purple as his eyes glowed.

Karma: So this is what the best is like huh? Looks like I wasn't ready.

Ryu: You fought well. Now Blaze! Attack Karma!

Blaze: Burning Hell Stream!!

The purple stream of flames hit Karma.

Karma: Grr!!

Karma Life: 4

Ryu: This will Finish it!! Double Attack!!

Blaze: Burning Hell Stream!!

He shot out one last attack hitting Karma reducing her life to 0.

Karma Life: 0.

Her Flag disappeared with Ryu putting down Caliburn.

Core Gadget: Winner: Ryu Mikado!

Blaze transformed back into his mini state as they both walked over to Karma.

Ryu: Karma, I don't say this to everyone, but I'm really impressed. I didn't think there was someone else who could master a rare deck like that besides me and Tasuku. You my friend have a lot of skill.

Karma looked like she had stars in her eyes hearing that compliment.

Karma: You really think so?!!

Ryu: I know so.

Ryu brought up his fist to Karma waiting.

Ryu: Come on, don't leave me hanging.

He said this with a smile as Karma smiled back. They Fist bumped before Ryu looked around.

Ryu: Uh, where's Talon.

Talon: Down here.

Ryu looked down to see a tiny Wolf at Karma's feet.

Talon: I genuinely don't like taking this form.

Blaze: You learn to get used to it.

Karma: Personally I like Talon in this form. He's like a cute puppy.

Ryu said nothing as he started petting Talon.

Talon: Uhhh-

Ryu: Oh.

Ryu pulled back his hand before chuckling.

Ryu; My bad, that's kind of an instinct when I see a dog.

Talon: You have surprisingly soft hands.

Ryu: Thanks. I think.

Blaze: Well, I guess we should probably head back in.

Karma: I guess.

Ryu: Actually, why weren't you in Judo class?

Karma: I'm a lover not a fighter. I asked to skip the class.

Ryu: Eh, seems legit. Let's go.

The two began walking unaware of what would come soon.
