Ryu: So you basically want the deck to show Rouga that's Buddyfight's are supposed to be fun? And to get payback for Testuya?

Gao: I have to get him back!

Ryu was standing in front of Gao with Baku.

Ryu: *Sigh* Give him the deck Baku.

Baku: What?! Are you kidding?! There's no way he'll be able to use it!

Ryu: If he wants to fight Rouga then fine. I personally think he can beat him.

Baku: Are you serious?

Ryu: Yeah. And if he does loose, then I'll put Rouga in his place personally.

Baku: Ahhh, fine.

Baku gave Gao the deck reluctantly. Ryu started walking away being met Karma.

Karma: So how good is your cousin Gao exactly?

Ryu: Gao? Well he might be new, but he beat Tasuku once.

Karma: TASUKU?!

Ryu: Yeah. If I had to do a comparison, I'd say I'm still way ahead. But he keeps on getting better. So if I sag off to much, he might approach me even more.

Karma: So kinda like the story of the tortuous and the hair.

Ryu: Kinda. But only if the tortuous was secretly super fast.

Time Skip!

Ryu: Ugh. This isn't the way I wanted to see Gao win.

Karma: But the Rouga still has 4 damage left.

Ryu: Look at Gao's Gauge.

Karma looked to see that Gao's Gauge was at 4.

Karma: Oh. And it's only his first turn... You might not wanna see this.

Ryu: Yeah I know.

Ryu got up from his seat and started walking away.

Ryu: 'Gao, don't make the same mistakes I did. You're not that type of Buddyfighter.'

Ryu could already hear the crowd going wild at Gao's victory. Blaze came out of his card and appeared next to Ryu.

Blaze: He'll know it was wrong Ryu. Gao is a fast learner.

Ryu: I know. It's just not the kind of fight I like to see in general. Just watching something like that leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

Ryu felt a pulsating feeling like he did when he was getting closer to Karma.

Ryu: Blaze, the same feeling is back again, but this time REALLY close.

Blaze: How close?

A suddenly as it came, it disappeared.

Ryu: So close that it just stopped. But if I had to guess...

Ryu turned around and looked in the air to see a white and black haired male in his class looking out the window at Ryu. They briefly made eye contact before the individual walked away.

Ryu: Was that feeling come from him? And why is he in the class?

Blaze: He must be another transfer student. Something tells me he's a Buddyfighter as well.

Ryu: Another Buddyfighter huh?

A smile crept onto Ryu's face as Blaze noticed it and immediately had a worried expression.

Blaze: Every time you smile so suddenly like that it means you're scheming something.

Ryu looked at Blaze confused.

Ryu: Really?

Blaze: You really have never noticed?

Ryu: Guess not.

Time Skip!!

Netsuke: Alright Class, he was slightly late today, but here's our newest student. Please introduce yourself.

The boy took a piece of chalk and wrote his name in the board.

???: My name is Azure Kaito. It's nice to meet all of you.

Ryu: 'Azure's his name huh? Seems like a pretty chill guy.'

Netsuke: Alright Azure, please take a seat to Ryu over there. He's the one with the Black and Red hair with the moon on his shoulder sleeve.

Azure said no other words as he walked over to the empty seat next to Ryu. After an awkward bit of silence Ryu put his hand up signaling a hello with Azure waving back. After the next 2 hours of class school finally ended. After most people started leaving, Ryu stretched in his seat before leaning back.

Ryu: 'Well either he comes to me or I just ask him. Either way I just have to play my cards right to get a teammate for the ABC Cup.'

Azure: Hey, you're Ryu Mikado right?

Ryu: 'And looks like it was the former.' Yup. You a Buddyfighter Azure?

Azure held a Core Gadget in his hand with mostly bland face.

Azure: If it's not to much trouble, I'd like to Buddyfight you.

Ryu: Sure, I'm always up for a Buddyfight.

This caught the attention of everyone left in the class. The most notable individual's being Gao Karma Kuguru Baku and Kiri.

Kiri: He really just challenges Ryu like that?

Baku: He must have some serious guts or major skill.

Kuguru: Just what kind of fighter is Azure?

Gao: I don't know, but something tells me that this is gonna be an awesome Buddyfight!

Ryu got out of his seat as the news was spread to Mr. Neginoyama. The result being: They were aloud to use the massive Aibo Buddy Stage. After they got down there Ryu took the high ground as Azure was fine with the low.

Paruko: Wherever there a Buddyfight-

Ryu&Azure: Paruko Nanana will be there. We get it.

They both looked at each other surprised before smirking.

Ryu: I think we'll get along pretty well.

Azure: Same here.

Paruko: ANYWAY! Today we have the Amazing Ryu Mikado who has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in every one of his battles, vs a newcomer named Azure Kaito who challenged Ryu out of the blue!

Ryu: Burn Away my opponents with Blazing Flames! Hellfire Dragons: Luminize!!

Azure: Shake the Earth with you're Immense Power! Dragon Kings: Luminize!!

Azure's Core Gadget turned into a sword with the core on the handle.

Now folks say it with me now! BUDDY~!!!

All: FIGHT!!!!

Ryu&Azure: Raise the Flag!!

Ryu: Dragon World!

Blaze appeared roaring onto Ryu side. Fire Azure he bore a flag that was quite familiar to Ryu.

Azure: Ancient World!

Everyone was shocked to see that the person Ryu would have to fight used a world like Ancient World.

Ryu: An Ancient World Fighter huh? This isn't the first time I've dealt with this World, but dang.

Azure: I think I'd like to take the first move. Charge and Draw. I pay 1 gauge and call Blue Dragon Tempest to the Center!

Azure called a Sky Dragon to the Center that roared out.

Blue Dragon Tempest.

Size: 3

Power: 7000.

Defense: 7000.

Critical: 2.

Ryu: If he really uses Dragons like that, I'm guessing his Buddy's on his own schedule.

Azure: You know quite a bit. Yup, my Buddy isn't just around all the time. But when he's here, he more than makes up for it. But enough talk. Tempest! Attack Ryu!

Tempest: Right.

The dragon breathed in before letting out a stream of wind that hit Ryu head on.

Ryu Life: 8.

Core Gadget: End of Move.

Ryu: My Turn. Draw. Charge and Draw! Alright. I Call Volcanic Hell Dragon to the Right!

Volcanic roared as he was summoned and turned to Ryu.

Volcanic: Ancient World this time Eh?

Ryu: Sorry Volcanic, but you're not getting in on this one yet.

Volcanic: I see, well give him one for me kid.

Ryu: You got it. I pay one Gauge and destroy Volcanic Hell Dragon to summon one of my stronger monsters!

Volcanic was surrounded by a blue Aura before dispersing. That was when a bigger Dragon formed in the center.

Ryu: Meteor Hell Dragon!

Meteor Hell Dragon!

Size: 3

Power: 8000

Defense: 6000

Critical: 3

Baku: Woah! He actually brought it out!

Kiri: Meteor Hell Dragon!

Kuguru: That's the card he rarely ever brings out.

Karma: It's one of his strongest Monsters too.

Gao: He looks totally awesome!

Drum: No way! Meteor Hell Dragon is Legendary in Dragon World! Ryu uses him in fights?!

Meteor Hell Dragon: Long Time no see, Ryu. Been a while since you used me.

Ryu: Yup. We'll have a pretty tough fight ahead of us. Before anything else, I activate Meteors Skill! I pay the rest of my Gauge to add a Set Spell to my Hand!

Azure: You're not playing any games.

Ryu: Nope. I can add Dragon Emperors Kingdom to my Hand.

Karma: Oh he's in trouble now. The last time we fought that's what gave him such free range.

Ryu: Now, I cast: Dragonic Charge!

Ryu's Gauge Increased to 2.

Ryu: Once More! Dragonic Charge!

After another use of the Dragonic Charge Ryu's gauge went to 4.

Ryu: Now I cast: Dragon Emperors Kingdom! With that, my size capacity goes to 6. So with one last move, I call Inferno Hell Dragon to the right!

Ryu called a Dragon with a body made out of Flames.

Inferno Hell Dragon!

Power: 5000

Defense: 4000

Critical: 2

Azure: Get ready Tempest.

Ryu: Meteor! Attack Blue Tempest Dragon!

Meteor: Meteoric Burst!

He opened his mouth and sent a barrage of fire balls towards Tempest Destroying him.

Azure Life: 9.

Gao: Wait, why did his life go down?

Karma: It's because of Life Link. If the monster is destroyed the owner takes damage equal to its Life Link damage.

Azures It's inconvenient but it keeps me on my toes.

Ryu: Inferno, Attack Azure!

The fire dragon slashed at Azure going through him.

Azure Life: 7

Core Gadget: End of Move!

Paruko: What an explosive start to Ryu's first turn! Not only did he bring down the life of his opponent but he was able to cast his amazing set spell too!!

Azure: Looks like I can't pull my punches here. Draw! Charge and Draw!!

Azure's Gauge. came up to four as he grabbed a card from his hand.

Azure: Descend onto the Battle Field and destroy what stands before us! I Buddy Call to the right!! Dragon King: Adamantine!!

Winds started kicking up as a bright light shined on the stage. When the light cleared up, it revealed a huge Dragon that looked to be even more massive than Blaze.

Azure Life: 8

Dragon King Adamantine

Size: 3

Power: 10000

Defense: 10000

Critical: 3

Ryu: Thats your Buddy?!

Azure: I told you, he can't be here all the time. Dragon King's have schedules of their own.

Adamantine: Azure, I see you need my assistance.

Azure: Yeah. Our opponent isn't a slouch.

Adamantine looked to see Ryu and Blaze.

Adamantine: Well if it isn't Chaotic Emperor Blaze Dragon.

Blaze: Adamantine. It's been a long time friend.

Gao: They know each other?

Gao looked at Drum to see he was shaking in his armor.

Drum: Dragon King Adamantine... That's the Only Dragon I've ever seen go toe to toe with Blaze!

Kiri: You mean they've fought before?!!

Azure: You both can catch up later.

Ryu: Yeah, he's right.

Ryu&Azure: Cause right now I've got a fight to win.

Azure smirked at Ryu.

Azure: Get your own line copycat.

Ryu: Right back at ya.

Ryu had a smirk of his own.

Azure: Alright. Before anything, I put two cards into Adamantine's Soul when he's called to the field. Now I Cast: Rise and Fall of Dragons!

Azure's Gauge increases by 4 making it go up to 5 decreasing his life by 2.

Azure Life: 6

Ryu: 'If he didn't call him to the Center, then he must have some plans. He could possibly have an Item that can do some real damage to me.

Azure: I Pay 3 Gauge and Equip: Dragon King's Blade: Arondight!

A portal appeared above Azure and from it came a chained sword. He grabbed the handle as the chains shattered.

Ryu: Woah, it looks like my Caliburn.

Azure: Get ready, cause I'm coming at ya now!

Adamantine roared as he flew towards Meteor Hell Dragon.

Adamantine: Dragon Furry Assault!!

He rapidly punched Meteor as he was destroyed.

Ryu: Meteor!

Azure: Now a double attack!

Adamantine hit Ryu with a barrage of attacks sending wind through the stadium.

Ryu Life: 5

Azure: Arondight!!

Azure ran forward to Ryu ready to slash at him.

Ryu: I cast: Blue Dragon Shield!

Ryu blocked the attack making Azure smirk. He flipped back as his Life went back up to 7.

Ryu: What?

Gao: His life shout back up?!

Kuguru: It's Arondight's affect!

Azure: Whenever Arondight's attack is stopped, I can regain 1 life. And don't forget, it has double attack!

Azure launched himself at Ryu again with the attack being guarded.

Ryu: I cast: Green Dragon Shield!

Ryu Life: 6

Azure Life: 8

Core Gadget: End of Move.

Paruko: In a stunning turn of events Azure has the Super Rare Item Arondight! And with it he's managed to even the battle! Just what other cards could he have?!!

Ryu: Crazy. His Arondight is the exact opposite of my Caliburn. One heals, and the other damages.

Blaze: It couldn't be a good game any other way.

Ryu: Yeah. Alright I draw! Charge and Draw!! I cast: Hellfire Charge!!

Gao: Hellfire Charge?

Baku: It's a pretty wicked card. Just watch.

Ryu: I pay 1 Life and destroy Inferno to gain 5 Gauge!

Ryu Life: 5

Azure: 5 Gauge?!

The flame Dragon was engulfed in flames before being destroyed. With that, Ryu's Gauge increased to 7.

Ryu: But that's not the end, when Inferno is Destroyed, he gets turned into 1 Gauge.

Paruko: With that move Ryu's Gauge has increased to and overwhelming 7! Could he be planning what we think he is?!!

Ryu: I pay 3 Gauge and Buddy Call Blaze to the Right!

Blaze flew into action.

Ryu: With the Buddy Gift I regain 1 Life!

Ryu Life: 6.

Ryu: I Call Hellfire Dragon Sage to the Left!

Karma: He's going for it!

Kiri: Going for what?

Drum: Yeah, I'm kinda lost here too.

Kuguru: With the affect of Hellfire Dragon Sage, if he pays 1 Gauge, he can equip items without any cost!

Gao: If he's doing that, then he must have-

Ryu: I pay 1 gauge and send Sage to the Drop Zone to reduce my item equips this turn to zero! Now I Equip: Emperors Hell Blade: Caliburn!!

Ryu broke Caliburn from its chains and brought it over his shoulder.

Karma: That's the combination he used to steamroll over me when we fought.

Azure: There it is.

Ryu: Now I cast: Dragonic Charge!

With that Cast Ryu's Gauge went up to 5.

Ryu: Now time to head in Blaze! First off, Attack Adamantine!

Gao: Wait, why Adamantine?

Baku: It's because of his ability. If Dragon King Adamantine is on the field, the opponent can only attack it.

Blaze: Burning Hell Stream!

Blaze hit Adamantine with his fire breath destroying it but it revived with Soul Guard.

Ryu: Hit him with a double attack!

Blaze went in and flew at Adamantine who flew towards him as well. Their claws hitting together made sparks go everywhere. After a fierce struggle, Blaze had tore through Adamantine and destroyed him only for him to be revived again.

Ryu: Caliburn!!

Ryu jumped high in the air and slashed Adamantine in half.

Ryu: And thanks to Life Link, you lose 3 Life.

Azure: I cast: King's Declaration! This makes the Life Link null and void!

Karma: Shoot!

Ryu: Caliburn has double attack too!!

The two met in the center of the stage with their Blades clashing. With Azure not having his guard up, Ryu slashed at him.

Azure Life: 5

Paruko: What an amazing fight! These two are so evenly matched! This battle could go either way folks!!

Ryu: Not after this! Final Phase!!

Ryu used 4 of his Gauge and the 3 were engulfed in blue flames. That was when a giant sword appeared in front of Ryu.

Ryu: Impact!!

The sword lit on fire as well as the card did.

Ryu: COLOSSUS PUNISHER!!!!!

Ryu swung the Blade down at Azure who braced for the impact. The sword stuck into the ground depleting Azure's life to Zero.

Core Gadget: Winner: Ryu Mikado!

Ryu: And that's how you do it.

The crowed went wild from their battle as cheers flies the stadium.

Paruko: For the first time in his battles I'm at a True loss for words!! Ryu Mikado beat Azure with his Colossus Punisher Card!!

Both Ryu and Azure walked down into the center of the stage and shook hands.

Ryu: That was a good match Azure. You're skills a pretty awesome.

Azure: Same to you. The next match won't be the same though.

Ryu: Well yeah. Next time you won't pull you're punches.

Azure: Wait, you could tell I wasn't giving it my all?

Ryu: I wasn't born yesterday.

Blaze: I could tell as well. That wasn't very nice Adamantine.

Adamantine: Oh you didn't use everything either.

Adamantine turned into a small dragon that stood next to Azure.

Azure: Well then, let's agree not to pull punches the next time either of us fight alright.

Ryu: Deal. Also, the ABC Cup is coming up soon. I'm gonna need a teammate.

Azure: Hm. Working with the best huh? Alright why not?

Everyone gasped hearing the deal the two made.

Paruko: You heard it here folks! Ryu Mikado and Azure Kaito are planning to Participate in the ABC Cup Together!!

Azure: Anyone else you wanna add.

Ryu: Just one. Hey Karma!!

Karma's head shot up when she heard Ryu.

Ryu: We have room for one more! And I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather have with us!

Karma smiled hearing this and yelled back.

Karma: For sure!!

Gao: And now Karma too.

Kuguru: With these three working together-

Baku: They might be the strongest team ever seen.

Azure: Now we've got something to say to anyone entering the ABC Cup!

Ryu put his finger up and pointed into the air.

Ryu: WE'LL END UP THE WINNERS!!!
