The boy took out money from his pocket and was about to hand it to the man but he gasped.

The boy jumped as he leaned in to the man.

ICM: Oh sorry! I just got a little excited! Here free of charge!

???: Really? Thanks!

???: Anyway thank you again.

ICM: No problem Ryu!

Ryu: Shh!

He covered his mouth before nodding. Ryu gave a thumbs up before walking away.

Ryu: Alright just gotta get to the shop and I'll then I can start-

Ryu then got grabbed from behind surprising him.

Ryu: WOAH!

He was swept of his feat almost dropping his ice cream cone if he didn't grab it. His hood somehow stayed on his head not revealing his head.

Ryu: Whats the big idea?!

He turned around to see a criminal fighter.

Criminal Fighter: Hey kid, I'm only gonna day this once: Your gonna play me and if I win you hand over your cards!

Ryu facepalmed as he heard the words.

Ryu: Ugh, again with this bull crap? Guess I'm gonna have to explain myself to the Buddy Police again. Fine, lead the way.

They started moving up a skyscraper. While they were going up Ryu sneakily pressed a button on his phone. As they got to the top Ryu pulled down his hoodie revealing his black and red hair.

Elsewhere!!

We are brought to the Buddy Police Station where an alert went off.

Stella: Commander I, we've received reports that a criminal fighter has been spotted at Sky Tower.

Commander I: Were is that coming from?

Stella: It seems that it's coming from inside the tower as it's moving up.

Commander I sighed as he smiled.

Commander I: If it's coming from inside the tower than it has to be that boy again.

Stella: You mean Ryu again? This is the 4th time within 2 weeks.

Commander I: I know but he's easily handled the situation every time. Alright just send whoever is closest.

Stella: Then am that would be Tasuku.

Back to Ryu!!

Ryu: So, I think it's clear who's winning this match.

Ryu Life: 13.

Criminal Fighter Life: 2.

Criminal Fighter: NO!!

Ryu: Face it, I've got you beat. You should've stayed away from this path. Now get ready cause this is it.

A tornado of blue flames engulfed Ryu as he held a card. There was a massive sword that formed behind them.

Ryu: Time for an Impact!

He raised the card as a stream of blue flames lit a massive sword on fire.

Ryu: Colossus Punisher!!!!

The massive sword came down and it seemed to go down and split to skyscraper in half as it did. The Criminal Fighters Core Gadget shattered as the fight was finished.

Ryu: It didn't have to go like this. Now you'll be behind bars where you belong.

???: Nicely done yet again Ryu.

Ryu looked up and smiled to see a boy with blue hair wearing a buddy police uniform flying with a Buddy Skill along with Jackknife Dragon.

Ryu: Hey Tasuku, hey Jack.

Tasuku landed in front of him and the boys fist bumped.

Tasuku: Looks like another successful victory for you and Blaze.

A massive dragon wearing armor descended.

Ryu: Yeah but it was kinda easy. Blaze and I haven't had a good challenge for a while.

Blaze: Not since the last time we battled you and Jack.

Jack: I'm up for another round if you are Blaze.

Tasuku: Easy you two.

Ryu: Yeah he's right we both still need to attend school and Tasuku is apart of the Buddy Police.

The Criminal Fighter tried to get away but Ryu saw this as he swept him below the legs and put his hands behind his back.

Ryu: Yet somehow I end up doing this.

Tasuku: By the way Commander I wanted you to talk to him again.

Ryu: Oh great. Well I guess we shouldn't keep him waiting.

Ryu grabbed the Fighter and brought him inside the car while placing hand cuffs of him.

Ryu: Lets go.

Both the dragons turned into lights that reverted into cards as the two kids got into the back seat.

Time Skip!

Commander I: Ryu, I'm a patient man, must you really insist on doing this?

Ryu: Come on Commander I, I genuinely was just minding my own business until that fighter wanted me to battle him. I just happened to not wanna let him do what he wanted to do with me.

Commander I: Thats not what I mean son, I'm talking about how you keep insisting your not ready to join us. You've proven yourself more than ready time and time again.

Ryu: I just don't think I actually want that responsibility on myself.

Blaze: Come on commander cut him a break.

Blaze had appeared in a tiny form.

Blaze: If he doesn't want to join yet it doesn't mean he doesn't want to join eventually.

Ryu: Yeah, just not yet.

Commander: I understand but the challenges to you have only increased in the time the you met your Buddy.

Ryu: Don't worry we can handle it.

Blaze: It's not hard Commander, we promise.

Commander I: I get that I really do. It's just you take down so many Criminal Fighters you should just accept the offer at this point.

Ryu: One day.

The boys phone began to ring and he checked to see who it was.

Ryu: Uh oh.

Commander I: Your aunt again?

Ryu: Yup.

Commander I: I'll talk to her for a second.

Ryu: Just a sec.

He answered the phone with slight hesitation.

Ryu: Hello?

Ryu's Aunt: RYU ARE YOU OKAY?!! I SAW YOU FIGHTING A CRIMINAL AGAIN ON THE NEWS!!!

Ryu: Ouch! Don't worry it's fine Aunt Suzumi. Oh and Commander I wanted to talk to you.

Ryu quickly tossed his phone up to the commander who was high up on his chair.

Commander I: Hello Mrs. Mikado.

Suzumi: Oh Commander, it's good to speak to you again!

Commander I: Yes the feeling is mutual. You nephew is quite the Buddyfighter I must say, in the past 2 weeks he's easily defeated all of these Criminal Fighters and doesn't seem to be worse for wear. Mmhm. Oh yes it's still the same. Stella is fine as well. Well alright talk to you later.

She hung up the phone and dropped it back down to Ryu who caught it.

Ryu: Well I guess I'll see you around Commander I.

Commander I: I'd hope so.

Ryu: Ok Blaze, let's go.

Blaze nodded as his eyes glowed.

Ryu's Core Gadget: Buddy Skill on.

Ryu began to ascend into the air as gloves and boots of red light began to appear on him. Before he was about to jump out of the window he heard a voice.

???: Hey Ryu!

He turned to see Stella there and smiled himself.

Ryu: Hey there Stella!

Stella: Beat another one like usual?

Ryu: Yeah dame old same old. Catch ya later!

He jumped out and began flying to his house. A stream of blue blue energy came off as he flew in the sky and did barrel rolls.

Ryu: This Buddy Skill will never get old!

Blaze: I say Ay to that!

They kept flying until the reached a house that looked like a dojo slightly. He landed on the ground and immediately heard someone being flipped over and over. The pair immediately started chuckling.

Blaze: Looks like Gao became the Sun Fighter again!

Ryu: Pfft! He must've if he getting flipped that hard.

Ryu opened the door and they walked in.

Ryu: We're home!

Ryu stopped an incoming boy who had similar hair to him from crashing into him by putting his hand out.

Ryu: Yeah you definitely became the Sun Fighter again Gao.

Gao: Hey Ryu! I saw your fight on Tv today! You and Blaze rocked it!

Suzumi: Yes you had done it quite excellently.

Ryu: Thanks.

Blaze: It was nothing!

Suzumi: Well dinner is ready in the other room so you both can go on ahead. Gao still has a xtra training. I made your favorite Blaze.

Blaze: Oooh ramen!

Ryu: Right.

They both walked into the kitchen and Ryu was immediately met with a hug by Hanako.

Hanako: Your Buddyfight was amazing Ryu!

Ryu patted her on the head and smiled brightly.

Ryu: Thanks Hanako.

Takashi: You've done it yet again my boy. It's like you and Blaze are unstoppable sometimes!

Blaze: Not just some, ALL the time!

Ryu: Well I cant deny that. They both sit down and started digging in to the food at the table.

Time Skip!!

Gao: I don't get how being flipped on my bit for 3 hours counts as extra training. Ugh, all cause I helped out that little kid.

Ryu: You should've just taken the kid and ran instead of just taking on those guys.

They both went up the escalator with Gao being sore from last night, and Ryu being slightly amused by it.

???: Good morning Gao, you too Ryu.

They both turned to see a purple haired girl and a guy wearing a bandana holding a card box over his shoulder.

Ryu: Oh hey Kuguru, Baku. What's up guys?

Kuguru: Not much. I was just asking Baku that if he could choose any Buddy at all, which world would it be from.

Gao: That's a good question.

Kuguru: Baku said that he's never even thought about it before, since, you know, he's a deck builder and all.

Gao: Yeah well, I'm sure there are a lot of things he hasn't thought about.

Baku bit down on the lollipop he was eating and was offended.

Baku: Yeah right!! Look at who's talking Mr. Sun Fighter!

There were visible sparks between the two further amusing Ryu.

Kuguru: So what about you Gao?

She took out a pad showing different worlds.

Kuguru: The Dragon Worlds? The Magic Worlds? Or the Danger Worlds? Not an easy choice huh?

Gao: Let me think. My Monster would have to have a big weapon. Something he'd use to crush anything standing in our way. So the World I'd pick for such a choice monster is-

Ryu: Dragon World.

Gao: Really?

Blaze: Of course!

Blaze came out of his card and appeared on the escalator.

Blaze: You've seen me haven't you? I have wigs made of an unbreakable metal and claws that can tear down our opponents. Besides Dragon world is filled with the most fierce kind of-

Kuguru: What about a Dragon Knight?

Blaze immediately grew a vein at the name of a Dragon Knight.

Blaze: Did you just say a Dragon Knight?!

Gao: Not sure about that, but the Dragon Jackknife is pretty cool. Not to mention Blaze here.

Blaze: That's better.

Kuguru: I never pictured you for a Dragon.

Ryu: You didn't picture me for a Dragon either but here Blaze is. Plus he would never allow himself to live under the same roof with a Dragon Knight.

Gao: Oh yeah, trust me. Dragons are the only way to go.

???: Heh. You like Dragons Huh?

They all looked up to see a blonde boy wearing a tiger shirt that looked like a kitten.

Gao: Hey Noboru.

Noboru: They're ok, but Dragon Knights are way cooler. Dragons are nothing without their masters.

Blaze: Speak up boy I can't here you up there!!

Ryu: Ok Blaze back in your card.

Ryu held up his hand and Blaze returned to card form.

Ryu: Nothing Huh? Than how do you explain how Blaze is stronger than pretty much every singular Dragon Knight you have?

Gao: What is a Dragon Knight?

Kuguru: Their humans who ride dragons and bravely fight along side them.

Noboru: Dragons are just dimwitted monsters that couldn't even find their own tails without being ordered to by a Dragon Knight. Kinda lame really.

At this point Ryu struggled to hold back Blazes card as he was trying to go up and slap Noboru.

Blaze: DRAGONS ARE DIMWITTED?!! CAN'T FIND THEIR OWN TAILS?!!! DRAGON KNIGHTS ARE WEAKLINGS!!!! ALL THEY DO IS BARK OUT ORDERS AS IF WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! THE INSANE DRAGONS WHO DO CORPORATE WILL FOREVER HINDER THEIR POTENTIAL!!!!

Ryu: Can it Blaze.

He begrudgingly stayed quite still seething with fury.

Time Skip!

Ryu: 'For once today's class I'm really really excited for!'

All students were to create stories using monsters they pulled from card packs.

Ryu: 'I'm not looking for a monster though, I'm going item hunting!'

He ripped of the top of the four packs and placed the cards face down on the desk. Before he could check he was interrupted by a shouting Noboru.

Noboru: YEAH!! I got a Double Rare Card!! I can't believe it! A Dragon Knight Maximilian!!

Ryu: Oh yeah congrats. Now if you can let me actually check what I got.

He flipped the cards on the desk and couldn't believe his eyes.

Ryu: ALRIGHT!!!

He jumped in the air for joy seeing the card he had.

Gao: What is it?

Ryu: They're all Secret Rares!!!

Noboru: Your bluffing!!

Ryu: Am I?!

He held out the card and it showed to be an item card.

Ryu: Check it out, four copies of Emperor's Hell Blade Caliburn!!

Ryu: It didn't just come down to luck. I've been trying to go at this these cards for weeks! I was bound to get it at some point.

Teacher: Well it certainly shows the persistence pays off.

Ryu took out his deck and gave Baku the four Secret Rare's.

Ryu: Baku! I'll need your help for this one!

They grabbed hands with their spirits on fire.

Baku: I'm on it Bro! We'll have this balanced by lunch if we build it together!

While they were talking Gao opened up a pack with a card that turned into a light and flew off.

Ryu: That light had to be a-

Gao: Hey wait that's my card!!

Gao immediately ran after the light and interested to see what Gao's Buddy would be like, he followed.

Gao: Come back!

The light traveled down a slide and Gao went down it as Ryu followed when he was a safer distance down.

Ryu: 'No need for that train wreck.'

When they got outside they saw the light grow. Gao was speechless but Ryu was intrigued.

Ryu: I wonder.

???: All of a sudden now you have nothing to say?

From the light emerged a Red Armor Dragon wielding a big drill.

Gao: Yes! It's a Dragon!

Ryu: Didn't expect that. A Drum Bunker Dragon.

Blaze: And not just any Drum Bunker Dragon.

Blaze appeared out of his card in his original massive form.

Blaze: Good to see you Fang Slade.

Drum: Chaotic Emperor Blaze Dragon?!!

Blaze: I go by just Blaze outside of a fight Fang Slade.

Ryu: You know this guy Blaze?

Blaze: Yes, I had been an overseer in the Drum Bunker Dragon clan's training for a while before I became your Buddy Ryu.

Gao extended his hand out.

Drum: What are you trying to pull kid?

Gao: Just a handshake. I mean you are going to be my Buddy right?

Drum: I'm not sure. I saw you run away from that fight yesterday.

Blaze: Fang Slade, theres more to that boy than meets the eye. He's a good one I'll tell you that.

Drum: Really?

Ryu: Yeah, he's learnt a lot from us.

They heard the sound of another set of wings flapping and looked up to see Jackknife Dragon.

Drum: It's Jackknife Dragon.

Ryu: Jack?

Jack: Hello Ryu!

Blaze: If your here that means-

???: Sorry to just drop in on you.

Tasuku descending from the sky.

Tasuku: But actually I'm here on official business.

Noboru: Tasuku Ryuenji.

Everyone from the classes came outside to see Tasuku and Jack along with Blaze in his true form.

Tasuku: Well I guess in the future I should have you come in mini form huh?

Ryu: Same for you Blaze. Your both pretty noticeable when your this huge.

Jack: Your right. But I'd refuse.

Blaze: Being that tiny is emasculating.

???: It's Tasuku Ryuenji the Boy Wonder from the Buddy Police! Why is he here at our school?! Listen in as I find out!

The high pitches voice was coming from none other than Paruko Nanana.

Ryu: 'Try saying her names 5 times fast.' Yeah Paruko I think I have some idea what your question is so I'll answer for ya. He's here to see Gao.

Tasuku: Yeah. I came here to deliver this Core Deck Case to him.

Tasuku put out a red core deck case and held it out to Gao.

Tasuku: Here, this belongs to you now.

Gao: Gee thanks man!

Gao took it from his hand slightly excited.

Ryu: That makes you an official Buddyfighter. Now you can fight with monsters whenever and wherever you want, so it looks like things got more interesting at home!

Gao: Buddyfight with monsters?

Tasuku: Well, bye.

Tasuku started to walk off before Gao stopped him.

Gao: Wait hang on, where you going? What if I challenged you to a fight to help train me?

Tasuku stopped moving forward when he heard the challenge.

Tasuku: I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly?

He turned around smiling with slight confidence.

Tasuku: You'd like to challenge me and Jack from the Buddy Police?

Gao: Yeah! You know, if your up for it.

Ryu began to snicker a bit heating the challenge while they could hear Blazes hardy chuckle.

Blaze: Of all the things I've heard you say Gao, that might be the funniest.

Paruko: It's too soon to be challenging Master Tasuku don't you think?! It's a no brained that you be completely creamed!! Use your head kid it's common sense!!

Gao: Forgive me if I don't listen to common sense coming from a girl in a UFO!

Blaze gave Drum a slight look before he walked over to Gao.

Drum: Alright kid, from this day forward we will be Buddies.

Gao: Did you say Buddies?

Drum: I am the son of the honorable Drum Bunker Dragon: Fang Slade Terrestrial the 13th.

Ryu: I am not gonna call you that but ok.

Gao: How about we just call you Drum?

Drum: YEAH WELL HOW ABOUT YOU DON'T!!!

Ryu: This'll be interesting.
