Ryu: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY WENT TO SENGOKU ACADEMY HANA?!!!

Ryu: Ack! Sorry!

He put her down, smoothing out her hair.

Ryu: Okay, from the top.

Hanako: Well from what Gao told me, your friend Kiri was taken there by that Rouga guy Gao beat.

Ryu's eyes widened.

Ryu: Rouga?

Hanako: So they went of in Lady Suzuha's blimp.

Ryu: OHHHH, so that's why Suzuha's passed out on our floor.

He looked to the side seeing the girl with her butler.

Ryu: Alright, thanks Hana! I gotta go now!

He ran out of the door, with his Buddy Skill activating. He leapt into the air along with Blaze, as they raced to the academy as fast as they could. Soon enough the air home was in sight.

Blaze: I know Kiri's in danger but going on land would've been the best bet since Gao doesn't have a Buddy Skill!!

Ryu: I swear that they have no common sense!! I'd bet money that they're gonna be hit right out of the-

Crows flew into the hair, before hitting one of the blimps keeping them afloat. Soon after one had come off making them plummet.

Ryu: BLAZE!!!

Blaze transformed into his true form, racing to one side of the sky home. Thankfully he wasn't alone, as Duel Sieger had flew from the forest to get the other side of the blimp, as the ship was safely landed onto the ground. In front of Sieger, Genma appeared.

Genma: Is everyone alright in there?

Gao: Woah, Genma and Duel Sieger!!

Genma smirked looking at them, before to Blaze.

Genma: Have we met before. You look pretty dang familiar Dragon.

Gao: Come to think of it, you do.

Blaze: Oh come on, I know I look different, but is the change really that drastic?

Everyone was shocked once they heard his voice.

He smiled to the group, with them all smiling back. Once landing and recalling their Buddies, Genma and Ryu began to travel with the group. He turned to a girl with orange hair wearing a green sleeveless hoodie.

Ryu: So, you're a new face. What's your name?

???: Hi!! My name is-

A green bird with a blade on top of it's head cut between them.

???2: YOU ILL MANNERED MONGREL!!! You should always give your own name before asking for-

???: Blade, knock it off.

The girl grabbed the blade before throwing it in a random direction, with the bird flying after it.

Blade: AH!!! NOT THE BLADE DARN IT!!!

???: Like I was saying, I'm Kazane Fujimiya!!

Ryu: Nice to meet you Kazane!

Azure: So dude, what took you so long?

Ryu: For one: Blaze couldn't teleport inside the castle to begin with.

Blaze: Well EXCUSE ME for being mostly unconscious!! Creating a portal while in that state is beyond any monster aside from me!

Ryu: But aside from that, I had to fight my way to the castle to get to him. It ended up being some pretty wicked training.

Baku: It shows. Hard to believe it's only been 7 days.

Ryu: For you lot. It's been about 21 for me. Didn't physically age though.

Azure: You spent 21 days in Dragon World?!!

Drum: Hardcore right? We were both training our butts off.

Ryu stopped, looking up.

Ryu: We're surrounded.

Many Sengoku students came stood on top of the wall.

Azure: Well, we all know how we're gonna get anywhere here. Settling things with a Buddyfight.

Genma: So Ryu, wanna show us your new tricks?

Ryu: Not worth it. I want my first Buddyfight in a while to be against a pretty strong opponent.

They all looked at the confident smile on Ryu's face.

Zanya: 'Something's definitely changed about him.'

Karma: 'What exactly did you go through Ryu?'

Gao: Alright then, I'm up!

ONE SHORT FIGHT LATER

Gao: GARGANTUA!!!! PUNISHER!!!!

The giant blade crashed down, as Gao beat the current head of the patrol crew.

Ryu: Talk about overkill.

Gao: It's settled, now take us to your school.

Sengoku Student: Argh, I'd never take you anywhere!

They turned around the see two boys. One had long white hair, and wore armor almost like a knight. The other one had short turquoise blue hair, and a torn dark scarf.

Ryu: So... I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you two are higher up on the ladder.

???2: You guessed it, Ryu Mikado.

Ryu: You know me?

???2: Oh yeah, everyone at Sengoku Academy knows the name of the two time ABC Cup Champion. You're a legend around these parts. The fact these idiots didn't recognize you is hilarious. The name is Keith Victor.

???: My name is Shosetsu Kirisame, and we welcome you to Sengoku.

The girl gave a half hearted smile.

Kazane: It's so serious.

Ryu: ... You know after what I went through, this kinda seems a lot more mundane.

Karma: Seriously, what went on over there?!!

They entered a different room.

Keith: Come on in.

???: It's about time you all showed up, Team Rage.

Azure: And you are?

They saw a male in a Kimono sitting down at a desk.

???: Where are my manors? We rarely have guest here, some a little out of-

Keith: The guy for the dramatics is Raremaro Tefudanokimi. Don't even try to say his last name, I promise you'll butcher it the first hundred times.

Raremaro: I'm the student Council President of Sengoku!

A male in ninja attire came flying in on a crow like Buddy Monster from seemingly Katana World.

Akatsuki: It's that Sky Ninja Yamigarasu!!

Azure: So you're the one that sent us crashing down. Or would've if Blaze and Duel Sieger didn't stop us.

Yamigarasu: I merely subdued an unauthorized intruder.

Ryu: If by that you mean tried to mass murder than yeah.

???: You're so soft. Name's Kanahebi, resident advisor of the dorms.

Shosetsu: Although I've introduced myself, I didn't explain my position yet. I'm in charge of the disciplinary committee here at Sen-Cad.

Karma: So you're basically like our Student Council at Aibo.

Keith: They basically are.

Zanya: So what about you?

Keith: Oh, I'm not apart of any committee or student council seat. Though I guess people do call me: Sengoku's Dark King. I'm a step above these 3 and their extra one.

Kanahebi: We're so strong people call us the Four Demons! Or the Four Demon Generals.

Keith: The 4th is making his entrance though.

A frog like boy walked in, with Paruko's buddy Takosuke, licking the top of his head.

That was until a microphone was thrown at the back of his head, as Ryu could've sworn he heard a "Ribbit".

Paruko: STOP THAT THIS INSTANT!!!

???: Ribbit!

???2: WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA MISSIE?!! MY KEMURA CAUGHT THIS-

Ryu: O_O Why is there a living human frog that has a less than pint sized fairy?

Keith: Pretty odd sight right? Let it go Kemura, that's someone's Buddy, so it's off limits.

Kuguru: That's the fourth member?

Fairy: You better believe it!!! My Kemura's wicked strong!!

Kemura began to laugh, while also making more from noises.

Azure: ... I mean I don't doubt he's kinda good, but~.

Gao: So if you guys know everything, then where's Rouga keeping our friend he bought here yesterday?!

Raremaro: Huuuh? Who's Rouga-

Ryu: Cut the lies, the guy who could probably beat you blindfolded. Our friend's name is Kiri Hyoru. We came here to take him back home with us.

Karma: Please, just tell us where he is so we can get out of your hair-

Drum: I know that voice.

Everyone turned to the open doors, seeing Rouga there. However he was vastly different from before, with longer and more wild hair, a dark outfit, slitted pupils, and a familiar Core Gadget.

Blaze: Ryu?

Ryu looked at Rouga, before clenching his fist.

Ryu: 'This couldn't be a coincidence... Could it?'

Ryu shook his head.

Ryu: Where's Kiri Rouga?

Rouga: I'm happy to tell you, but this is Sengoku Academy. Not just that.

Rouga smirked looking at Ryu.

Rouga: We still never got to have that match.

Ryu: Fine then, if you really get your but handed to me twice then let's do it,

Azure: Twice?

Keith appeared beside Rouga, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Keith: Now now Rouga, winning might be everything, but we've still gotta do things a certain way around here remember?

Rouga: Hmph, fine. I'm a reasonable guy, so I don't need to fight all of them myself. Let's have a Team Challenge. 6 on 6.

Keith: See? Now everyone's happy! You lot can decide your fighters with Rock Paper Scissors or something.

Ryu: Fine. Alright guys out em in-

Karma: -_- We never settle anything with Rock Paper Scissors when the king of Dumb Luck is involved again.

Gao: Sounds like you're just a sore loser Karma!

The fighters had been decided, with Aibo having Zanya, Tetsuya, Kazane, Azure, Gao, and Ryu.

Ryu: Alright, who's gonna be up first? Because looks like they already decided.

Rouga flew up in the air waiting.

Tetsuya: I'll do it! I can take him down.

Ryu: Woah, pretty bold words Tetsuya!

The two fist bumped.

Ryu: Let's see what you've got man!

Tetsuya: Kay A-Dog! Buddy Skill on yo!

Asmodai: You got it!

Finally taking to the skies, a yellow banana appeared under Tetsuya's feet.

Azure: PFFFT!!

Ryu struggled to contain himself turning away.

Ryu: You've got jokes Asmodai...!!!

Blaze: AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Ahhh, come on, we should just focus on the fight.

They luminized their decks, as Ryu immediately payed attention to Rouga.

Rouga: The Power of Ace will destroy you!!!

He spun his spear before drawing cards, as a familiar Buddy Monster appeared behind him. Ryu's eyes went wide, as Armorknight Cerberus appeared, however it seemed he was much different from before.

Rouga: Dark Luminize: ACE DEFEAT!!!

Ryu: Dark Luminize?! A-And that's definitely Armorknight Cerberus!!

Blaze: It looks like your feeling was right on the money Ryu.

Ryu gritted his teeth, as memories of Wolf reemerged in his mind.

Ryu: ... The proof just had to smack me across the face huh?

Azure: Ryu, what are you talking about?

Ryu: I can explain another time.

Ryu grabbed his Core Deck Case.

Ryu: If you all don't mind, I'd like to take the next fight.

Zanya: I think that'll be up to Tetsuya. Just look.

Ryu: With that Combo that weapon has 8 Critical at the cost of 5 Gauge. And if I was a betting boy-

Rouga: Time for Final Phase!! I Cast!!

Azure: Here he comes.

Rouga: I'll get you, and your little monster too!! DRILL BUNKER!!!

Karma: Crazy! That's a critical of 10 with Penetrate!

Gao: And 7000 Attack!

Ryu: It's over.

Rouga charged towards Beleth.

Tetsuya: I cast: Solomon's Shield!!

Rouga: You're a fool!! I Cast: Fanged Dragon Declaration!!

With that, the Spell was nullified, leaving Tetsuya with no way to defend himself from the attack. An explosion of light shook the ground, before Tetsuya's flag dispersed. Tetsuya fell back, with Asmodai catching him.

Rouga: You're no match for me Asmodai's Buddy. Go on!! Bring someone out with skill!

???: Those are some pretty big words from someone who barely survived a 1 turn victory attempt.

Ryu walked forward, standing over Tetsuya. He held a hand out with a smile.

Ryu: You might not've won, but you killed it out there with what you had Testuya.

Testuya took his hand, slightly feeling better.

Tetsuya: Thanks Ryu.

Ryu: Take a rest.

Ryu took out his Core Deck Case, holding it up.

Ryu: So, who wants to be mine and Blaze's first Buddyfight together in a while?

Rouga smirked.

Rouga: Well then, I'd be happy to-

Before Rouga could finish his sentence, Kemura jumped out.

Rouga: ... You want to fight Ryu? I know I did say everyone could get a turn but...

Kemura: Kemura do fight!

Sylph: How exciting!! I know you can beat him Kemura!

Sengoku Student: Anyone but that guy!!

The many students began to express their own disapproval of the frog man fighting next.

And right after Ryu spoke his mind.

Ryu: HEY, IF THAT GUY'S ONE OF THE BEST 4 THEN NONE OF YOU HAVE THE ROOM TO TALK!! SO EITHER SHUT UP OR GET LOST!!!

The crowd went silent after that comment. Ryu looked at Kemura stretching.

Ryu: I'd be happy to play against you Kemura. Make this a good one since I haven't actually Buddy fought anyone in a while.

Rouga: Fine, he can fight. Just don't disappoint me. You're nothing unless you win, it's the only thing that matters. And don't you forget it.

Rouga flew away, as Kemura activated his Buddy Skill, with pixie wings appearing on his back.

Sylph: Come forth, monsters of fable and legend! Luminize!! Master of Fantasy: Wydar Sarkal!

Sylph drew Kemura's cards from his headband.

Ryu: Our New Flames will Burn Away even the Sun!! Luminize: Raging Hellfire!!!

Karma: A new deck name. I wonder what this one will be like.

Baku: It's Ryu, whatever Deck he has usually is gonna be nothing short of Elite.

Ryu&Sylph: Time to raise the Flag!!

Ryu held the Dragon World Flag.

Ryu: I'm with Dragon World!!

Kemura held up a new flag to the story.

Sylph: And we're with Legend World!!

Azure: Legend World huh? I don't go up against many players who use that.

Kuguru: It must be a girl thing.

Kuguru feinted, with Baku catching her.

Karma: I mean, that stuff's never really bothered me.

Kazane: Me neither.

Blade: You're just the exception dear!

Ryu: Nah, you two are just cool.

Sylph: We call to the Center, Iron Dragon Tarasque!!

With 1 Gauge, Kemura called a monster that was far different than the name suggested.

Ryu: ... Isn't that a Lion in a Turtle Shell?

Kemura: Taeasque, attack Ryu!!

The monster ran forward, striking Ryu.

Ryu looked forward, simply smirking.

Ryu: A while back, Genma told me about a Frog Man he battled against over and over it the forest. Would that happen to be you Kemura.

Paruko: This is unbelievable!! Ryu is debuting brand new cards that we've never seen before as well!! Rouga isn't the only one with new tricks!!

Ryu: Now Volcanic, show them your new power!

Volcanic: Hell Claw!!

Volcanic flew in, before striking Tarasque, destroying it, and dealing Kemura damage as well.

Kemura: He took Tarasque and Kemura life with just one monster!

Gao: Nice! Looks like he's got a lot of new powers he's just waiting to show off!

Azure: The fact that Kemura's life ONLY went down to three proves that Ryu's just going at his own pace. Next turn we'll see what he's got.

Kemura drew his cards, as Ryu simply waited patiently.

Ryu: 'It's weird. Now that I'm back from Dragon World, I can just sense things in a fight. I thought it was just my imagination with Rouga, but this proves it.'

Rouga: Hmph, this match is already over.

Raremaro: You're too quick to all it Aragami.

Rouga: And you're too simple minded to realize that Ryu pulled his punches that turn.

A large armory dragon appeared in the left position with the cost of 2 Gauge.

Kemura: Buddy Call: Wind Fairy Sylph to right area!

With 1 Gauge, the fairy was called.

The tiny fairy was called, before flying into a portal.

Ryu: So, you had an Item from the Gauge right? Let's see what you got.

Sylph returned, showing Kemura a card. Ryu could tell from the reaction that even Kemura was surprised at the one he saw, as he began to talk with Sylph.

Ryu: 'That's not quite the reaction he should have.' Yo pal, something wrong? Come on, let's keep it going.

Kemura: ... But why does he give me this card? Kem.

Ryu heard this confused?

Ryu: Who gave you what card?

The small Blaze listened as well.

Blaze: Ryu, do you think?

Ryu: Definitely not, he's a jerk, but not a scumbag.

After a certain word said, Kemura began to sweat, before hesitating.

Kemura: W-Win...

Ryu: What was that?

Kemura: WIN!!

Sylph: That's the spirit!!

Kemura: I EQUIP KEM!!

Raremaro: Yes that's it. Use that Dragon Destroying card I planted in your deck!

A red sword appeared in Kemura's hand.

Raremaro: Dragon Vanquishing Sword Balmung.

Ryu: ... So that's how it is huh?

Kuguru: He's using a Balmung card!!

Baku: That's seriously bad news for Ryu!! He had to have added it knowing Ryu was that one fighting next!

Azure: Dude, Hate Cards are just low.

Karma: ... Something feels off here.

Kemura went forward, slashing Volcanic in half.

Ryu Life: 7

Gao: Wait, Volcanic has Life Link now?

Ryu: If I don't want that damage, I can just substitute it for Gauge. However I'll sacrifice any amount of life for my monsters to shine to their full potential.

Kemura: Sylph, attack fighter Kem!!

Sylph hit Ryu with a gust of wind, as he didn't flinch at all.

Kemura: Cuelebre, attack!!

Ryu: I Cast: Hellfire Guard!!

The attack was blocked by a wall of flames.

Ryu: With that, I can reduce the damage of a monster to 0, AND I can gain gauge equal to the combined critical of up to 2 cards on the field. I choose Balmung and Cuelebre.

Ryu Gauge: 6

Ryu looked up at Kemura, who slightly hyperventilated.

Ryu: Alright frog guy, fess up. You didn't actually know that card was in your deck did you?

Kemura was surprised to hear this, before slowly shaking his head.

Kemura: N-No.

Ryu: Well then, I guess it had to have been your Buddy Fairy.

Sylph: THE NERVE!!! Raremaro acted alone!!

Ryu grinned looking at the two.

Ryu: I just don't get how some monsters can be so gullible.

Ryu looked down to Axia, who turned away whistling with a blushing.

Ryu: Anyway, I thought so. If I were you, I'd go give that jerk a piece of my mind.

Kemura: Give piece of Kemura mind?

Ryu: Yeah, an example would be like this.

Ryu immediately looked into the room where the Sengoku fighters were located, giving Raremaro a piercing glare, that sent chills up the Student Council Presidents spine.

Ryu: See? I didn't even have to say a thing. Winning is important in a Buddyfight, but what's the point if you can't feel good about it afterwards?

Ryu smiled as he drew a card, then charging one.

Ryu: I put my all into my fights so I can enjoy them as much as possible. That's why I don't like 1 Turn victories as cool as they can be.

He drew another card, as it lit in a blue fire.

Ryu: But the next best thing is on the second!

He grabbed the card, with 3 Gauge going into it.

Ryu: With 3 Gauge, I Buddy Call!!!

Blaze in his small form leapt up, before becoming his true size.

Ryu: Say hello to Emperor of Hellfire Blaze Dragon!!

Cards were sent into Blaze's Soul, with a slight glow appearing around him.

Ryu: I see. And here's something new!!

Blaze brought his arm back, as a blue fire aura appeared around it.

Ryu: When Blaze Enters the field, I get to destroy 1 Card in your hand or on your field!

Kemura: KEM?!!

Ryu: And just to get it out of the way, let's get rid of that pesky Dragon Vanquishing Sword.

Blaze: BURNING BLAST!!!

Blaze swung his hand, as Kemura bounced around feeling extreme heat as his Item was destroyed.

Ryu: Also, a bonus is that you lose 1 Life.

Kemura Life: 7

Ryu: Now, let's bring out a classic. With 3 Gauge, and a card from the Deck-

Ryu equipped Caliburn, however this time no chains were required to be broken.

Ryu: Emperor's Hell Blade Caliburn!! Now with all that out of the way, let's finish this!!

Ryu leapt to the center, as he ran forward to Kemura. He slashed once, before slashing a second time with double attack.

Kemura Life: 1

Raremaro: Why isn't he blocking the attacks?!

Kanahebi: No point when Caliburn will still burn him for a damage point anyway. Plus, Blaze could still attack too.

Ryu: Come on Blaze!! Show them why the wait was worth it!

Blaze flew into the air, as the sun seemed to blind those who looked up. He dived down, about to hit Kemura.

Kemura: Me Cast: Holy Grail!

A golden chalice blocked the attack, however Blaze still flew in the air, igniting in a blue fire.
