Memory failure

Suni's POV

The rest of the team came into the room, and I held my nose. "You guys stink."

"Yeah, well you would to if you had just fought against clay face." Wally exclaimed as I rolled my eyes.

"Sorry injured." I smiled as I wet them all with water.

"What was that for?" Arty glared at me.

"Just getting you cleaned up." I then conjured up some wind and dried them off.

"Oh, thanks."

"And in a week I can get this stupid cast off!" I jumped up into the air.

"Oh come on I would be loving not having to work right now. And you don't even have to go to school yet."

"Yeah but I want to, I wanna train and go to school. I feel unless when I'm injured." I floated back down to the ground.

"Don't worry Suni, soon enough you'll be joining us, in fact it will probably be next mission."

Dick came over and put his hand on my shoulder. I had been officially told to only call him Robin while with the team, because I hadn't said his name loud enough for the rest of the team to hear, then again their not exactly locals so would they even know him?

"Well I guess we better split, it's getting late, and most of you have school tomorrow."

"You could join us." Wally smiled at me.

"Yeah, thanks but I would rather not have to lie about my injuries anymore."

"You WONT have to lie about you injuries anymore because you won't have anymore for those people." I could almost see the anger and worry behind Dicks mask, but then again that could just be me.

"Well, goodnight guys." I smiled as I floated back up to my room.

Robin/Dicks POV

I watched as Suni went up to her room. "See ya tomorrow guys." I said as I walked over to the zeta tube. I arrived in the bat cave and decided that I should really talk to Bruce about letting Suni live here.

I walked over to Alfred when I couldn't find him. "Hey Alfred, do you know where Bruce is?"

"I am sorry master Richard but I believe he is on a 'business trip'." I guess from the way he said business trip that he meant he was on patrol.

"Thanks Alfred, I guess I'll *yawn* talk to him tomorrow." I walked up to my room and saw the clock on my bedside table, no wonder I was so tired it was already 2. Well I better make the most of the 5 hours of sleep I'll get before school, at least I'll have Suni back at school again soon.

1 week later Suni's POV

I opened my eyes to see nothing but sand . . . Wait sand? "I got out? I GOT OUT!" I jumped up in the air and that was when I noticed what I was wearing. A dark green almost black singlet top that had the sides cut out and a dark orange sun on the chest, it tucked into a black belt on a pair of dark green pants, they were then tucked into a pair of black combated boots, black fingerless gloves that came past my elbows, a dark green domino mask on my face and a hood over my hair. I guess it's as if I am trying to stay hidden and I can't do that with bright red hair, but it was all designed in a way to hide my scars. I suddenly heard someone behind me.

"Who are you?" We both asked at the same time.

I then got a look at who he was, "Robin?" What was he doing out here.

"Yeah, and who are you?" I knew he wouldn't know me so I didn't bother, but that voice sounded familiar, it sounded like . . .

"Dick? Is that you." I looked at him wide eyed and he just fiddled around nervously.

"N-no, who are you?" He almost yelled at me.

"It's me Suni." I pulled off my mask that was somehow on my face, it was then I realised I wasn't wearing my glasses but I could see properly, I must be wearing contacts.

"SUNI!" He screamed before running over to me and giving me a hug.

"Who would have guessed you would be Robin." I smirked at him.

"That's kinda the idea."

"So, where are we?"

"In Bialya, do you have memory loss as well?"

"Memory loss? I don't think so . . . Wait would that be why I can't remember getting out?"

"Getting out? Well it's September so is that the date you remember?"

"SEPTEMBER? THATS SIX MONTHS AHEAD! Are you sure that thing just isn't messed up?" I looked at him wide eyed.

"It shouldn't be."

"Um, okay well do you know why I am in a super hero get up and why we're in the desert?" I looked at him, hoping to get an answer.

"Nope, memory loss. Wait, what can you even do to become a hero, I mean your good at acrobats but you ain't a tech wiz?"

I began to explain my powers to him as we were walking, he was apparently looking for where he had placed a tracker when he came across me.

"Did you here that?" I whispered, I could have sworn I heard people talking. I turned to look at Dick, but found that he was missing. "Robin? Robin where are you?" I whisper yelled. I suddenly heard some sought of laugh and he appeared right beside me again. "Where the hell did you go?!"

"Found where the tracker was from." I turned to where he was looking to see smoke surrounding the enemies.

"Oh." Suddenly the smoke cleared, and we saw some soldiers pointing their guns at us. But before I could blink, or even get out of the way, they were all disarmed.

"Hey KF, great to see a familiar face."

"Excuse me." I said glaring at him.

"Um, ah I mean a familiar face in the hero bis." He said scratching the back of his neck.

"Um, okay, hey Rob, you got memory loss?" KF, asked. Wait that voice sound familiar.

"Yeah, six months." So called KF turned to me.

"And who might you be?" He said smiling at me, his green eyes flashing. Is he flirting?

"Um, I honestly don't know, I mean I don't remember being a hero. But you look awfully Fami-" I cut myself off and felt my eyes widen. Flirting, bright red hair, green eyes. "WALLY?!" I screamed and talked him in a hug.

"Wow hold on a minute, how do you know me?"

"It's me, Suni." I smiled at him, but my smile wavered slightly. I was best friends with two superheroes, did they even notice I was gone? Did they come looking for me?

"More sidekicks?" I girl in green came into view. She had long blond hair in a ponytail it kinda looked like . . .

"No . . ." I could feel my eyes start to water.

"Suni, what's wrong?" Robin looked at me with concerned eyes.

"Artie, please tell me that isn't you." Her eyes widened when I said her name.

"H-how do you know me?" I could see the panic in her eyes, then again with her family history I don't blame her. (Yeah she knows, and she was friends with Artie before she joined the team.)

"I had three, best friends that were heroes, and none could help me." I gave a small laugh and wiped a tear that was threatening to spill.

"What are you talking about?" The three asked together.

"For you Artie, it's me Suni. And for all of you. Last I remember I was chained to a wall being tortured. And my best friends were heroes, one of which being the best detective. Did you guys even notice I was gone?" They all looked at me shocked.

"Of course we noticed you were gone." Artie piped up. "But I moved schools and couldn't be in contact with you so I didn't really notice you were 'gone' gone."

"I thought your adoptive parents must have just gone on holiday and taken you with them." Robin replied, all I could do was laugh.

"You know for a fact then would leave me at home."

"Wait, how do you know these two." Artie said.

"And how do you know her?" Wally asked.

"Well I know Artie as a friend out of school. And Artie, I go to school with these two nincompoops."

"Wait, back to the start. What do you mean you were chained to a wall being tortured?" Robin looked at me with a worried expression.

"Oh, um, haha funny story." I said scratching the back of my neck, the three of them looked at me expectantly. "I was kidnapped while I was walking home on the last day of school."

They all looked at me wide eyed, but before any of them could say anything arty saved me. "So does anyone know why were here. Maybe we should contact the league?"

"No, I remember batman saying to maintain radio silence, we must work for him." He said while fiddling with his tech.

"How do you know we don't work for my mentor?" Wally said and tapped himself in the chest. His uniform turned yellow. I did the same, being me and being curious and mine became a bright green with a orange sun on the chest, and my hood disappeared.

"Cool." We both said, I tapped mine one more time to turn it dark again, but Wally being Wally kept touching himself.

"Stop touching yourself!" Artie said agitated as she slapped his hand.

Suddenly a martian girl came out of nowhere and told us that she could remember some things, and told us them.

"So we are all a team?" Me and Robin asked together.

"Yes, the four of us and Superboy." The green Martian girl who has introduced herself as M'gann smiled.

"Then this must be his." Robin said as he pulled out a superman symbol.

"Yes, have you seen him?" M'gann said excitedly.

"I think we did." Artie grumbled, did they have a bad meeting with him?

"Feral boy?" Okay definitely a bad meeting. "Some teammate, he attacked us!" He what?

"He didn't know who we are!" Wow Artie is defending someone that fought her, okay she defends me but this is different. "I don't know who we are." Okay that makes more sense.

"M'gann do you have anyway to get our memories?" Suddenly we were in this weird place. Her mind I think?

"I brought you into my mind to show you what I remember so far. But I need your help. Together, our broken memories an form a whole, if you open your minds to me." Almost sounds poetic.

"You want to pawn through our private thoughts." Artie glared, oh no, if she finds out her secret there's no guaranty that the team will trust her.

"I don't mean to intrude, but-"

"You need to hack our minds, to figure out what happened to us. Got it." Wait isn't he worried that she'll find out his identity if she does that.

"My brain is all yours. Try not to let it's brilliance overwhelm you." Wally smirked.

"Or underwhelm you. Hey why isn't anyone ever just whelmed." Both me and Robin looked
at each other with wide eyes, hey wouldn't you if you just said word for word the exact same thing.

"Creepy." Artie said, before giving me a smirk I know too well.

"Don't even start art." I then realised what I said, and tried to stifle a laugh.

"Hey great one Suni." Wally smiled at me.

"That wasn't even on purpose dimwit."

"The last six months only." Artie reasoned. "And only what you need."

All the others but me nodded so all the attention was turned to me. "Suni." They all said.

"Okay look, I don't really have a problem with you entering my mind, but I don't know if I want to know how long I was on there or what happened to me. And from what I remember it was pretty bad." I felt someone grab my hand reassuringly. I look beside me to see it was Robin.

"You'll be okay." He smiled at me. I sighed before giving a small nod in agreement.

Before long all our memories were being pushed back in our head. When we came out of a dream like state reviewing all our memories we all looked at each other. "Aqualad!"

"He-he can't survive in the desert like this, what's going to happen?"

"I don't know, that's the last thing I-we remember." M'gann said worriedly.

"Wait, I found him." Robin said while looking at his tech. He started to run off and we all followed.

"Kal!" I screamed as I saw him lying on the ground unconscious, muttering something in another language, probably Atlantian.

"I can't restore his memories in this state." M'gann said sadly before screaming. "Superboys in trouble." She goes to fly off.

"No M'gann, we need you to get Aqualad back to the bio ship. Superboy can handle himself." Well he probably can, being Superman's clone and all, unless they have kryptonite then he's screwed, wait would kryptonite effect him being a clone, MIND SHUTUP!

When I snap out of my daze, M'gann is gone and everyone is trying to lift Aqualad up.

"How much longer can he survive being dehydrated?" I ask, I mean if it's that important than maybe I should hydrate him a bit before we take him back.

"Don't know, but if we don't get him help soon, he'll most likely die." Robin replied almost bluntly.

I nodded before lifting my hands up, I close my eyes and concentrated for some rain clouds to come, soon enough I could feel a few droplets of rain falling on me. "Recon this will help?" I smirked at them, but honestly I felt a bit weak. I shock my head a little before pushing a gust of wind to make Aqualad float in the air, towards the bio ship with us following close behind.

We finally got to the bio ship, but it was at that point that I collapsed, I saw Aqualad fall onto the medical table before I felt some arms support me around my waist. "You okay?" I heard Robin ask with concern coating his voice. I gave a small nod, but then the world went black. Why do my words always turn against me?
