To say Law was a nervous wreck was a massive understatement, anyone could clearly see his distress if they hadn't already smelled the panicked hormones he was practically oozing into the atmosphere.

This meeting they were heading towards practically held the fate of a fair amount of lives in it's hands in his opinion, if Luffy and the others didn't approve or even become convinced Law was somehow forced into their relationship, like some sort of stockholm syndrome or some shit, they will most definitely try to separate the two by force and attack Kidd, and if that happens then Kidd would absolutely freak at the possibility of having Law taken away from him for good, he would fight back and retaliate by possibly even charging Luffy head on.

Which would signal them that this was a 'serious' situation and then the next thing you know, a whole frigging war would play out for custody of the snow leopard, one that he seriously doubted wouldn't be interrupted by creeps.

Worse part of it all, that was not a war Kidd would win, naturally, after being with them for so long as he had, Law knew how truly powerful they were, not to mention the entire secret army they had ready to move at their beck and call, the herd was more formidable than they led others to believe.

Long story short, they can't mess this up or they'll have a new retelling of Romeo and Juliet, only it ain't a story with some moral at the end, it's their lives, and someone could seriously end up dead, just the mere thought of finding the wolf's mutilated body in the middle of a battle field, it nearly forced him into a seizure.

Not to mention the two decided it best not to tell the pack about the circumstances of the situation, all they told them was to prepare for a massive fight if Kidd either came back busted to hell or was missing Law, basically everyone was prepared for the worst already, definitely not a good omen.

Kidd's POV

I bit my lip, couldn't help it since the pain was the only thing reminding me to bite my tongue, as me and Law finally made it to the edge of my border my eyes drifted over to his curved mounds of fur, hoping to find some sort of distraction in the pattern of his shiny coat, but I was only met with a discomforting sight, you could see the anxiety all over the feline, literally.

His fur was all puffed up and frizzy making it look like he just went through a massive blow dryer, kind of like a god damn marshmallow once my mind began to drift for a second, his eyes were wide open and fearful instead of his usual lazy gaze, reminding me of a wild rabbit, watching out for a hungry coyote.

I just hated seeing him like this, it felt so wrong, fear was something I found that he seemed almost accustomed to, another aggravating thought.

Before stepping onto the gorilla's territory, I turned back to where he was staring into space, numly walking on alike to a ghost, smiling down in order to see the light in his eyes again, I gave the snow leopard an affectionate lick on the cheek and cuddled into his side, hoping I could at least ease his troubles.

"Don't worry love, it's gonna be alright, I'll make sure of it" his fur smoothed down a considerable amount as his eyes closed taking in a deep, shaken breath from my words, a relief, a small smile cracked my dried lips feeling his tail affectionately try to wrap itself up with my own, perhaps just him trying to distract himself from our situation as well.

"I just don't want to leave you" I paused and felt a warm feeling at his loving words, no one really cared for me before, ever since I was a pup the only person who looked out for me was myself, that hollow woman of a mother wasn't even family to me, was this how it would've felt to have her love? Shaking my thoughts away from the distracting clouds in my mind, I whispered down to my partner again if not just for another response, "trust me when I say you'll never be rid of me little kitty" he chuckled before nervously but elegantly jumping onto a low branch in the tropical forest, letting me clear my head once more to focus on the present.

"Come on, I'll lead you to the rendezvous location" not wanting him to stay stressed as he has, I drawled out the conversation, hopefully I could manage to pull a one sided discussion since Law has proven to be silent since we moved out, "heh, you sound like we're on some secret mission or something" the snow leopard smirked and started to calm down by a few more notches, if the curling tail was anything to go by.

"Well I guess I do huh? Hey, remember that time we snuck through the castle and coated the whole mess hall in honey covered feathers?" Looks like Law was in need of a new pace of thought as well, he was finally speaking.

I smiled at the fond memory, "yeah I do! Holy crap! That one's one of my favorites!" The feline raised an eyebrow as my tail started to swish out of control, that memory would always be golden in my eyes, "then which one's your favorite?" Oh my god, why would he need to guess?

"Ah-duh! The one we just pulled off a few hours ago! I've never been so happy to see someone in a flaming dress like that! I have to say that was bloody brilliant" I smiled hearing his deep purr resound through the vegetation, he was obviously just as every bit as proud as I was, "stop it with such words Mister Eustass, you make me blush" though I could see nothing from underneath his tidy fur, I could perfectly imagine the redness his tan skin would be shaded right about now.

"Law I mean it, you're the best damn thing that's ever happened to someone like me" the feline paused and strolled right in front of me.

"Mister Eustass...promise me that you'll never leave me...and I'll be more than ready to stay by your side...permanently, very permanently" his eyes lost all humor in them from a moment ago, "I promise to stay by your side, damn straights" there was no question about it, I was there to stick with him even if he didn't want me to, this man was mine.

Without a slight of hesitation I saw a white blur dart at me a few instances too late, Law jumped at me and sunk his fangs into my neck, curling his claws into my shoulders in order to keep me from yanking him off, out of suprise I let out a wolfish yelp, I really would have knocked him flat out of reflex, but in just the moment I was going to launch my counterattack he pulled away.

With a set of jaws now faintly tainted red he pouted at me guiltily, clicking the image of a scolded kitten into my mind, "sorry about that sudden bite, I guess I maybe should have given you a warning first" you think?

"W-what the hell was that?" He looked away and curled his tail around his paws, "when a snow leopard marks someone, it means that they are permanently stuck with that person and are loyal to none but them, and it leaves off my scent so they know you belong to a special leopard since there are so few who know about me...it's uh, a traditional thing from our culture" him owning me!?

I snarled at the thought of not being in control, I was the one who so rightly had him all to myself, not all the way around, as the rumbling resounded out of my throat, it made him suddenly cower back from me.

Fuck, I hate it when he does that!

"No, no no! Law don't be scared, you know how I fucking hate it when you get scared of me" he looked down and folded his ears back "sorry" I sighed at his apology, curled beside him and cuddled into the side of his fuzzy fur coat, it was frustrating,  I know I never gave him a reason to cower like that, Law was a tough nut, but just a growl from me made him spineless in an instant, I hated the reaction, I hated whatever induced such a reflexive reaction even more, "It's okay love, now, we should probably get going we might be a little late" he weakly smiled remembering about our impending separation.

But if I had things my way, he's staying by my side, and even in death shall us not part.

We finally caught sight of light across the dense forest and gulped, '...here comes the weirdos' I nudged Law to go forward with my forehead and slowly followed behind, 'it might be best if I let it seem like Law's in control' regrettably, I swallowed my pride for this one moment, I loosened my posture and lowered my intimidating, superior atmosphere and relaxed my glare.

'Just this once' I inwardly cursed.

Normal POV

The herd was a mess, and frankly, a really sloppy one too since Law at least tried to keep them all organized in situations like this, now he was gone and no one else was there to help them stay on track.

Only after the call was when they started to lose their minds with panic, see they knew how calm and collected the leopard was, so when they heard how nervous he was on the line that he begun to stutter, they knew this meant a whole lot of trouble.

Luffy was just about to break into another episode when their wayward feline friend finally paraded into the field of rainbow colored flowers.

"Oi La-!" The shout quickly died, having short lived in Sanji's throat when a enormous blood red wolf appeared behind their missing friend, emerging from the shades of the canopy like a horror movie monster.

Eustass Kidd.

..But something was wrong.

Usually when you see Kidd you would feel this intimidating aura come off him, they felt almost nothing, and his stance would make him look humongous, alike a gigantic mountain that could crush you instantly if he chose to cause an avalanche, but he was slouching, almost near limping.

His fiery glare would freeze anyone within his distance of sight, but he wasn't scowling, in fact he actually looked in a way, mild as a wee baby, it was freaking the ever living shit out of them to see him like that, it was just too unnatural and strange, very strange.

"K-Kidd, w-we didn't e-expect you t-to actually show up" Ussop quivered trying to keep a straight face while hiding behind Franky's shoulders, but you could easily point out the beads of sweat streaking down his boney neck.

The two then silently struted into the center of the field along with the Strawhats and took a seat beside one another, making the others feel uncomfortable seeing that Law didn't come to sit closer with them instead of beside the otherwise unpredictable alpha wolf.

"So, where have you been Law-kun?" Robin was the first to break the ice, the woman known for her handy bluntness, "I've been with Mister Eustass the whole time, I'm so sorry about causing you so much stress guys" Robin glanced at the wolf, trailed to the fresh hidden wound and blinked before returning her gaze to Law, "And why exactly is that?" There it was...the unsaid big question.

Law felt his nerves activate as he begun to cower back, this didn't go unoticed by Zoro, Sanji and Luffy, already noticing the way the feline carried himself has changed from slicked to choppy, "u-um, well...how..does one put this?" When Kidd sensed his partner's stress he immediately couched down and meekly nuzzled the feline's cheek, trying to give him some courage like any good mate would.

The alpha knew just how big of a toll this was wearing on Law, but luckily his comfort was doing the trick as Law gently nuzzled back with a breezy but still shaky sigh, causing his spotless fur to bristle before smoothing down once more.

However, this kind action did ring some bells off to the herd members who noticed and looked closer at the gentle, loving exchange, something Eustass Kidd would never do for anyone in his life.

"Uhhh, Law, what's going on exactly?" The stress on Law multiplied ten fold when he looked Luffy in the eye, both his brown orbs staring blankly into his very soul, "Luffy-ya.....guys I...I love him" the feline then buried himself in the wolf's fluffy fur stunning most of the group, trying to hide himself away in his mate's unruly coat of red since burying himself alive wouldn't do any good.

"I thought so" Robin and Nami both had evil smirks on their faces and discreetly high fived while the males were left dumbstruck, "what!?" The boys were just about to complain when Nami hit them all upside the heads.

"Idiots! Don't interfere with my new otp!" Kidd quirked an eyebrow but Law removed himself from Kidd's safe build before the wolf could question it, "y-you guys are okay with it?" Robin hummed in agreement as Nami gave him a cheeky grin, "I ship it, of course I'm okay with it, you two better not break up before you get started with the kinky stuff though!" The snow leopard blushed a faint shade of red and turned away from the chuckling herd of misfits, vivid memories of a lively night running by his mind, "a-actually, it's a bit late for that" Chopper did a spit take of the milk he was drinking, the girls smiled brightly and the males had nosebleeds (except Luffy).

The herd leader blinked only slightly getting what Law meant and childishly sighed aloud, seems like Law finally found some more nakama to hang out with like they all wanted.

When he opened his eyes, he looked dead straight at Kidd with a light smile on his face.

"Kidd-" Luffy's cheerful expression changed into a threatening one filled with warning, shadows covering his eyes and all, "make Traffy sad, and I will kick your ass" not being intimidated by the gorilla's threat at all, he just leaned in closer to his mate, "you won't have to worry about that" the Strawhat leader's smile returned as he giddily chuckled, "shishishishi, well if that's it then..let's party!" The others cheered.
