The Ending (Chapter Fifty-Five)

"Yeah, if you don't mind wheeling those arcade machines to the podium that goes to the Funtime Auditorium? Have James go lower it for you guys," you said as you wrote your signature on the paper.

You handed the clipboard back to the man as he nodded. You walked back into the pizzeria as he called after the rest of the men. As James walked up to you, you pointed back, and he nodded. He jogged to the rest as you hopped onto the stage. You stepped into the elevator and pressed the red button, descending and having to wait to get to the bottom. When the elevator stopped, you opened the doors and crawled through the vent. You stepped into the Funtime Auditorium and was greeted by Freddy and Bon-Bon, in their animatronic forms.

"Hiya, (Y/N)!" Bon-Bon exclaimed.

"Hello, Bon-Bon," you replied. "Freddy, the men up in the pizzeria are lowering a few arcade machines down here. I'm gonna need you and Foxy to move them against the wall."

"Will do!" Freddy giggled.

"Well, I've got to get back up there. You guys remember the office up there?" you wondered.

"Yeah," Foxy murmured as he sat on the edge of the stage.

"I'm gonna turn that into my room. I'm gonna put a bed, and a couch, and a TV, in there. It's gonna be so cool," you gushed.

"What about us?" Foxy griped.

"You guys will be in your animatronic forms most of the time, and your animatronic-selves don't sleep in beds. Plus, when you guys are in your human forms, we can sit on the couch and play video games," you explained.

"Whatever," Foxy mumbled as he lay back.

"See you guys later, then!" you exclaimed as you stepped into the Primary Control Module.

"Bye-bye, (Y/N)!" Freddy and Bon-Bon said in unison.

"See ya," Foxy sneered.

When you disappeared into the vent, Freddy's speaker hissed as he sighed. Foxy looked up and scoffed as he dropped his head back down.

"Is she gone, Bon-Bon?" Freddy asked.

"I don't hear her anymore, so I guess. Why are you worried?" Bon-Bon wondered.

"Foxy--"

"Huh?" Foxy wondered.

"I need your help," Freddy pleaded.

"You need my help?" Foxy scoffed.

"Yeah, and--of course--Bon-Bon's too."

"With what?"

"I . . . want to . . . ask (Y/N) a very important question. A-and I need you guys' help," Freddy stammered, and Bon-Bon gasped loudly. "Shhh."

"What?" Foxy grumbled as he sat up.

"Ooh, I know what he wants to ask her!" Bon-Bon giggled.

"What is it?" Foxy griped.

"He wants to propose!" Bon-Bon squealed.

"SHH!" Freddy hissed, and Bon-Bon put his hands over his mouth.

"You want to ask (Y/N) to marry you?" Foxy snickered.

"Yeah, b-but I don't know how to ask her. Should I get her a ring, and if so, what kind? Should I do it in my animatronic form or my human form? Should I wear something fancy? When do you think the best time would be?" Freddy babbled as he became more and more worried.

"Freddy, I always thought (Y/N) would be the one to propose. Being that she has been the only one to make any type of move," Foxy sneered.

"Exactly!" Freddy growled.

"Calm down, 'Fredbear.' You--"

"No, you didn't hear what she said. She thinks that she's the only one putting effort into this relationship--"

"She didn't say that," Bon-Bon muttered.

"No, but she was thinking it," Freddy objected.

"Okay, Freddy, now you're just being paranoid. You don't need to worry, we will help you," Bon-Bon assured him.

"But it has to be perfect. Or else it could end our relationship entirely, and then we'll part ways and never see each other again," Freddy worried.

"Seriously, Freddy. Calmdown," Bon-Bon whispered gently.

"I don't want to mess this up, Bon-Bon," Freddy croaked.

"Don't worry, the girls can help out some, too. (Y/N) won't be able to think of anything better, once we're done," Foxy crowed.

"You really think so?" Freddy asked.

"I know so," Foxy boasted.

"Why did you guys need me down here? And without (Y/N)? You guys aren't gonna kill me, are you?" James chuckled nervously.

"No. Freddy--finally--wants to make a move and propose to (Y/N)," Foxy snickered.

"If it wasn't for the fact that you haven't tried to run away or tell about us, we would kill you," Baby said, not even a hint of humor in her voice.

"Baby," Ballora scolded her as she gently nudged her in the arm.

"Funtime Freddy wants to propose?" James asked in a somewhat revolted way.

"Yeah, you got a problem?" Bon-Bon snapped.

"Well--" James started, but when Bon-Bon growled, he quickly said, "No! I just . . . Funtime Freddy's an animatronic, and--"

"He's not just an animatronic. Besides, love has no boundaries," Bon-Bon interrupted.

"James, we're asking for your help," Ballora added.

"How do you need my help?" James wondered.

"How do people usually propose?" Freddy asked.

"Well, they usually buy an engagement ring and then propose. You don't necessarily have to have a ring, though. They get down on one knee and ask however they like," James explained.

"So, we don't need an engagement ring?" Bon-Bon wondered.

"No, you don't," James responded.

"So, Freddy can propose right now?" Bon-Bon asked.

"Well, yeah, I guess," James stammered.

"Then, let's go!" Bon-Bon exclaimed.

"Wait, but what about everything else?" Freddy worried.

"Like what?" Foxy sneered.

"I don't know. What form should I be in?" Freddy wondered.

"You should do it in your animatronic form, since that was how she met you," Ballora suggested.

"And it should be in the Breaker Room," Baby added.

"How should I ask her?" Freddy wondered.

"Just say what comes to your mind. Tell her how you feel," Foxy included.

"Foxy, since when- Never mind," Bon-Bon said.

"Should I do it today?" Freddy wondered.

"Yeah!" Bon-Bon exclaimed.

"O-okay. I'm gonna do it," Freddy crowed.

"Yay!" Bon-Bon cheered.

"Bye, guys!" you exclaimed as you watched the box truck leave.

After closing the doors and locking them, you turned towards what used to be the office. You walked by the counter and opened the door. In the center of the room, was set a couch and two chairs, that were facing the TV set that was against the far wall. In the right corner--closest to you--was your queen-sized bed. Against--almost--the whole left wall, were bookshelves. Although they were empty, you planned to fill them with books and video games. You walked behind the couch and looked around in content. A small knock on the door behind you drew your attention and you turned around.

"Oh, hey, Bon-Bon," you said.

"Hey, (Y/N). You're needed in the Breaker Room," Bon-Bon stated.

"Oh, what for?" you wondered.

"I don't know," Bon-Bon chirped.

"Oh, well, okay. I'll be down there in a minute," you said as you turned back around.

Bon-Bon ran away from the counter and through the pizzeria. He got into the elevator and descended to tell that you were coming. You sniffed in deeply and sighed. The silence rang in your ears, and you turned back around. You walked out of the room and shut the door behind you. You jumped over the counter and made your way to the elevator, walking through the big stage room and hopping onto the stage. You pressed the button, but the doors didn't open; you had to wait for the elevator to make its way back up.

You stepped through the Primary Control Module and into Ballora Gallery. Foxy, Ballora, Baby, and Bon-Bon, were all sitting on Ballora's stage. They all looked at you and you smiled. They quickly turned back and started to whisper to each other. You raised an eyebrow and opened your mouth to speak.

"Did you guys need me?" you asked.

"Not us. I think Freddy's in the Breaker Room," Foxy said.

"Oh, where's James?" you wondered.

"He's somewhere back in Funtime Auditorium," Baby said.

You nodded and walked across the room, to the Breaker Room. You opened the door and stepped in, closing it behind you. The light popped as it flickered in and out, and you could see Freddy--in his animatronic form--standing beside the breaker control box.

"Hey, Freddy, did you need something?" you wondered as you walked up to him.

"Hello, (Y/N). I just want to say something," Freddy said as he stepped in front of you.

"And what's that?" you asked.

"Do you remember the day we met?" Freddy mentioned.

"Yeah, you tried to kill me," you chuckled, remembering it as if it were yesterday.

"Well, I can't really say I fell in love with you at first sight. But, over time, I gradually fell head over heels for you. Still to this day, every time I see you and our eyes meet, my mind becomes fuzzy; when you speak, my heart beats to the rhythm of your voice. When we touch, my breathing picks up and my hands get all sweaty. And when we kiss . . . I lose sight of reality all together," Freddy spoke.

"Oh, wow, that's so sweet," you murmured as you blushed brightly.

"(Y/N), I love you, and I couldn't see myself without you," Freddy said as he got down on one knee and held your hands in his.

"Wait a minute, you're not- Are you . . . ?" you stammered as your eyes watered up.

"I mean, unless you don't want me to," Freddy mumbled in despair.

"No! No. Go on," you quavered as a few tears slipped down your face, and Freddy's eyes shined brightly.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, will you . . . marry me?" Freddy stuttered.

"Of course," you said and wrapped your arms around his neck.

He stood up and hugged you back as you clung on to him. You chuckled happily, then bit your lip and closed your eyes as tears streamed down your face. Freddy stepped away from you, then changed into his human form. He smiled nervously, stepping back to you for another hug. You laughed and hugged him tightly.

You moved back, then leaned into him as you held him in a kiss. When the two of you pulled back, you both smiled and stepped away from each other. Freddy gently grabbed your hand and entangled his fingers in yours. He walked you to the door and opened it. In the doorway stood Ballora, Baby, Foxy, and Bon-Bon. They all seemed to have been listening in on the conversation. They looked at you both and smiled sheepishly, and you chuckled.

"WOO!" Bon-Bon cheered as he hopped up and down.

"Way to go, Freddy," Foxy crowed as he smirked.
