Or Not (Chapter Nineteen)

"I can't keep this in anymore! (Y/N) and Freddy love each other!" Bon-Bon sputtered.

"Yeah, we know," Baby said; she and the rest of the animatronics sat in the Ballora Gallery.

"Yeah, but (Y/N) knows Freddy loves her, and Freddy doesn't know that she loves him too, and it's killing him. Right now, (Y/N)'s asleep in Freddy's arms, and I had to say it," Bon-Bon groaned.

"Say what?" you yawned in the Breaker Room doorway.

"I thought you were asleep."

"I was," you said.

"What all did you hear?" Bon-Bon wondered.

"I just heard: 'I had to say it.' "

"Phew."

"Anyways, I'm heading up into the pizzeria to grab a bite to eat. I'll be back down in a few minutes!" you called as you ducked into the Control Module.

You didn't acknowledge that the lights in the Primary Control Module were out. You crawled through the vent and got to the other end. The elevator doors were closed. You groaned as you moved back. You got out of the vent and back into the Ballora Gallery.

"Baby, did you close the doors?" you complained.

"No, I didn't," she replied.

"Foxy?" you scolded him.

"No, I did not," Foxy growled.

"Then, why is it closed?"

You looked between the animatronics as they all shrugged. You took out your phone and started to dial a number.

"Who are you calling?" Ballora asked.

"I'm calling James, so he can come help me," you muttered.

"I think I can open the doors," Baby said.

"I hope you can, because there's no service," you observed as you looked down at your phone.

"I'll go see," she replied as she turned towards Ballora's stage.

Baby stepped onto Ballora's stage and looked like she was waiting to be lifted up. She looked down at the platform, stomping on it a couple of times. She then looked back up at you and the rest.

"What's wrong, Baby?" you asked.

"It won't move. I'm trying to get it to lift me up, but it won't," Baby worried.

"The power's probably out. I'll go into the Breaker Room and repair it," you assured her.

You walked into the Breaker Room, wondering why you didn't realize earlier that there was no longer a flashing light. You walked up to the breaker box and flipped up the monitor. The monitor didn't glow like it usually did, but the "danger level" was red.

"He-hello, (Y/N)," Freddy said from behind you.

"Holy-!" you gasped, quickly turning around.

"So-rry, I was just want-ting to ask you how you-ou slept," Freddy murmured.

"Good. A-and you?" you stammered.

"Goo-ood," Freddy said shyly, looking down at his feet.

You scratched the back of your neck as you waited for something to happen. The tapping of Bon-Bon's hands echoed throughout the Breaker Room. Bon-Bon paused and started to move back slowly.

"Hi, Bon-Bon," you said.

"Hi," Bon-Bon croaked as he stopped.

"How did you sleep?" you asked him as Freddy watched you walk over and pick him up.

"I slept well," Bon-Bon said as you held him like a baby.

You walked in front of Freddy and smiled up at him. Freddy's ears twitched as he sighed.

"Is anything wrong?" you worried.

"Uh-uhm, I want to tell you someth-thing that I've been keeping to-to myself," Freddy stuttered.

'I think I may know where this is going,' you thought to yourself as Bon-Bon looked up at you.

"Do you re-remember that night when we-e first met?"

"Yeah."

"Well, when I-I first saw you in-in the ele-vator that night, I had a th-thought, that affected me in su-uch a way that I fe-lt warm inside. And that thought made me do some-thing," Freddy said as he tapped on his leg.

"Yeah?" You waited.

"I WAS THE-THE ONE THAT MESSED WI-TH HAND-UNIT AND THE POWER!" Freddy confessed.

"What?" you and Bon-Bon blurted in unison.

"I'm sorry," Freddy squeaked, closing his eyes.

"It's not that. I thought you were finally going to tell me that you--"

"Psst," a voice from the door stopped you.

". . . Did you guys hear that?"

"Hear what?" Bon-Bon asked you.

"It sounded like someone--or something--hissing," you said.

"It could've just been one of the animatronics in Ballora Gallery."

"Yeah, you're probably ri--"

"Come here," a little girl's voice whispered cautiously.

"There it is again. I'm just gonna go look," you mumbled, handing Bon-Bon to Freddy.

You walked over to the doorway and peeked around the door. Baby, Ballora, and Foxy, were near the stage, talking. You gave them a strange look as you searched around the room. In the entrance to the Primary Control Module was the same little girl that told you about the animatronics' secrets. You walked over to her, making sure not to be noticed by anybody else. She waved her hand, telling you to step into the Control Module.

"Sup, kid," you whispered.

"You should've left while you had the chance!" she whispered worriedly.

"What do you mean?" you wondered.

"You told them, and now they won't let you leave," she squeaked.

"The animatronics and I already have a solid plan, so why would they--"

"Not the animatronics. My father," she protested.

"What did I say?"

"You told them that you knew what the animatronics were really used for."

"I didn't say anything to your father. I only told James," you told her.

"Yes, and James works for my father. He knew exactly what was going on before you even told him; he's in on it. And now they've trapped you in here," the little girl went on.

"But James is such a nice guy, why would he be in on it?" you questioned.

"He's been acting. Of course he wasn't going to let you find out, but you did, and you told him you did. Then he told my father, and now they can't let you tell anyone," she said.

"How do you know he's in on it?"

"Remember when you told him you were going to call the cops?"

"Yeah," you responded.

"Then, he told you that you should wait. That was so he could get you in here to lock you up."

"That does sound odd," you mumbled.

"I don't know what they're going to do to you now, but I know that it can't be good," she whined.

"Uhm, well . . . I'll be fine. The animatronics won't let anything happen to me. Especially Freddy," you assured her--and yourself.

"I hope so," she muttered.

"Who are you talking to?" Foxy asked, poking his head into the Control Module.

You quickly turned to look at Foxy. You pointed your finger and looked at the girl, but she had disappeared.

"Just . . . myself," you murmured.

"You're weird," Foxy griped.

You stepped out into the Ballora Gallery and looked at the animatronics. You walked forward and the animatronics--including Freddy and Bon-Bon--came towards you. They circled you as Foxy stepped behind you. The animatronics looked glossy eyed, though. Lifeless.

"Hey, guys," you laughed nervously.

"We'e sorry, (Y/N), we can't control ourselves. Please . . . don't hold it against us," Baby whispered.

"What do you mean?" you asked, a chill running up your spine.

Before you knew it, a sharp pain in the back of your head made you stumble forward. You fell onto the ground as your vision went black.
