Freddy's a Bear? (Chapter Seven)
After getting all the blocks put back into their box--and finding out that the plumbing still worked and there was plenty of toilet paper and trash bags--you rode the elevator down. You crawled through the vents and went through Ballora Gallery. You turned the knob of the door, but it wouldn't budge. You knocked on the door.
"Freddy, I'm sorry if I went too far. I was just trying to make Foxy mad. Please don't be mad at me," you spoke through the door, hoping he could hear you.
"Freddy's not mad at you. He's far from it!" Bon-Bon assured you.
You heard tapping on the other side of the door and it unlocked. You opened it up; Bon-Bon was hanging from the handle. You put your hands out and Bon-Bon dropped into them. You cradled him like a baby and closed the door with your foot.
After looking around the room, you spotted Freddy in the corner with his arms around his legs and his face in his knees; it reminded you of yourself when you first met him. You sat down beside him, leaning against the wall and trying to act casual. You looked at Freddy from the corner of your eye, his eyes shut and his ears twitching.
You mirrored him and sat with your legs to your chest. You laid your head on your knees and looked at Freddy. You sighed.
"Freddy," you said quietly, and his speaker hummed as Bon-Bon sat on your shoulder. "I'm sorry."
Freddy looked up at you, his face plates shifting into a frown. He put his feet together and you sat on your knees, facing him. You scooted towards him some, avoiding his eyes as you twiddled your thumbs.
"I'm sorry if I went too far. I was only trying to make Foxy upset," you mumbled.
You kept your head down and looked up at him. You felt ashamed--like a dog that had ripped up the last roll of toilet paper. Freddy put his finger under your chin and lifted your face to his. You blushed, both in embarrassment and shame.
"I'm not mad at you," he said.
"You're not?"
"No. I just- . . . You know th-those feelings I didn't know wh-ether or not I was hav-having? Well, I know now-now that those feelings are tr-true. I don't know wh-at to do," Freddy said, looking straight into your eyes.
"Why did you run off, then?"
"Because Freddy was shy, that's all!" Bon-Bon chuckled.
"Why would he be shy? What are those feelings?" you asked.
"W-well, I have . . . I-I have a- . . . a--" Freddy stuttered as Bon-Bon was sitting on the edge of your shoulder.
"'A' what?" you asked.
"A--" Before Freddy could finish, Bon-Bon fell onto the floor.
"Ow," he muttered.
"Oh, are you okay, Bon-Bon?" you worried, picking him up and cradling him in your arms.
"Yeah, I just hit my nose."
"Aww, I know what'll make it better," you said, before kissing his nose.
Bon-Bon giggled like a baby and you smiled. You looked back up at Freddy.
"What was that?"
"No-nothing," Freddy said happily, scratching the back of his head.
"Oh, okay," you said, then yawned.
You sat in Freddy's lap and rested your head on his chest. Bon-Bon snuggled up to your neck, and his ears twitched. You rubbed your head against Freddy and closed your eyes. He slowly wrapped his arms around you, making sure you were okay with it.
"Mhm," you hummed.
Freddy played with your hair until you fell asleep. He rested his head on yours and slept as well.
~ ~ ~ ~
It had been five days, and since then, you and the rest of the animatronics would go up to the pizzeria to play games. Although, you guys hadn't played Jenga since then. You also checked up with your boss--Mr. Afton--who gave you your check for the week. The part you found funny about it was, you were getting money for messing around and doing pretty much nothing.
"Yooo, I'm ginning on you biznitches!" You threw your cards down on the table.
"What! Already?" Foxy blurted.
"Awww," Freddy and Bon-Bon said in unison.
You shook the cup of ice you had and chewed the rest. You had found the ice in the freezer. It was the best kind of ice: "Sonic Ice."
You also found out that the showers did--in fact--work and the water wasn't cold. The kitchen--as well--had pots and pans and everything else a kitchen would have. It was like an actual pizzeria.
"Freddy, I love you so much--"
"WHAT?" Freddy screeched, his eyes glowing pink brightly and his ears and face plates twitching.
"Could you get me another cup of ice?" you said innocently, giving him puppy dog eyes.
"Oh-oh, yeah," he chuckled nervously, closing his eyes and scratching the back of his head.
Freddy grabbed your cup and walked to the kitchen. You started to shuffle the cards, but Foxy snatched them from you.
"How about I . . . shuffle the cards and I . . . hand them out," he snapped, trying to shuffle the deck.
"Need some help?" you asked flirtatiously, teasing him.
"No! I've got this. Shut up," Foxy grumbled, his eyes glowing.
Foxy twiddled the deck, trying to do like you had. He sighed and slowly slid the deck towards you, his head lowered and his face plates twitching. You shuffled the deck a few times--with ease, of course--and handed them out. You were playing Gin Rummy. Baby didn't want to play, so you just gave cards to Ballora and Foxy. Freddy and Bon-Bon counted as one player--so there was no cheating.
You flipped over the top card and picked it up. You looked through your hand and put one down.
After everyone had a few turns, Foxy spoke up, "Gin."
"Bollocks," you hissed and tossed down your cards.
"Ha-ha!" Foxy taunted you as he crossed his eyes and formed an "L" with his finger and thumb, holding it to his forehead.
"I'm gonna go check on Freddy. He's been gone for quite a while," you said, squinting at Foxy.
You stood up and quickly stuck your tongue out at him. You walked off, watching as he raised an eyebrow plate. When you looked up, you stopped in your tracks. Walking towards you, on two feet, was a big grizzly bear.
"Uh, guys? We have a little company," you said, backing away slowly.
The bear grunted and looked at you. It was twice your size. You took a step back as it came closer. It kept coming forward, so you kept going back. Your foot got caught on something and you fell back. You crawled back into the stage. The bear came up to you and roared gently.
"W-woah, easy there," you said, putting your hands up.
The bear dropped down onto all fours and came face to face with you. You breathed heavily and closed your eyes. The bear licked the side of your face. It sat down in front of you and huffed in contentment. You looked up at the bear with wide eyes.
"What just happened? Guys, why aren't you doing anything?" you asked them, keeping your eyes on the bear and wiping off your face.
"Because we don't care," Foxy chuckled.
"No, it's because of me!" Bon-Bon said, peeking over the bear's shoulder.
"Bon-Bon?"
"Yeah, I told them not to. This is Freddy." Bon-Bon giggled.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean- Well, it's a bit of a story: Freddy went to go get your ice, but there was a bear laying on the ground. The bear didn't seem to be moving much. Freddy and I found out the he had gotten into some rat poison, so he was dying. Freddy wanted to show the bear some compassion before it left. But, a few seconds later, Freddy went quiet, and he stopped moving. Then, the 'once dead' bear started moving. It started to talk to me--through huffs and grunts, of course--and it gestured that it was Freddy. So, yeah . . ." Bon-Bon explained.
"Oh, that doesn't make a bit of sense. But he doesn't seem to be hurting me- He won't hurt me, right?"
"Nope!" Bon-Bon said.
You stood up and walked over to Freddy. Even when he was sitting down, he was taller than you. You patted his arm and smiled; his fur was so soft. You rubbed your face against his chest and he backed up some, tilting his head.
"Aww, you're so cute!" you squealed and sat on your knees.
You kissed his nose while you held his head in your hands. You rubbed his ears and he closed his eyes, groaning in satisfaction. You giggled and scratched his chin.
"Is he gonna stay like this forever?" you asked Bon-Bon, resting your hands on your knees.
Freddy nudged your hand with his snout and lifted it up. You scratched his neck while you looked at Bon-Bon.
"I don't know," he said.
Freddy roared and stood up. He picked you up and--literally--gave you a bear hug. He nuzzled his head into your neck. You giggled and caressed his neck.
"Aww, I think he likes you." Bon-Bon giggled.
"That's adorable," Ballora commented.
"Yeah, so cute," Foxy grumbled sarcastically.
Freddy sat down, shaking one of the tables. He set you in his lap and looked down at you. You laughed as he nibbled on your ear. He lifted you up above his head and roared ecstatically. He fell back and kicked his feet like a baby, setting you on his stomach and looking at you. He smiled and huffed into your face.
You scratched and rubbed his chest. You laid your head down and played with his fur. He licked your forehead as you rested your head in your hands. Freddy started to make a purring-like sound.
"Wait, are you purring? I didn't know bears purred. Ooh, you're too adorable!" You laid your face in his neck and nuzzled him.
"Okay, how about we get back to our game?" Foxy said, annoyed.
"Wait a minute," Baby thought aloud, standing up.
She walked over to Freddy. You rolled off of him and sat on the floor beside him. Baby kicked Freddy lightly and poked his stomach. He held his stomach and looked up at her, his ears falling back.
"Be careful. This poor baby is sensitive," you said in a baby voice.
You kissed his stomach a few times and looked at him with a stupid grin. Freddy sat up and kissed your nose. You looked back at Baby, who was studying Freddy. Freddy opened his mouth and licked the side of your face.
"Eww," you laughed, wiping the slobber off your face.
"Freddy's found a body. Do you know what this means?" Baby looked at the rest of the animatronics.
"It means . . . we can get bodies like him too?" Foxy scratched the back of his head and looked at Ballora questioningly.
"Yes!" Baby cheered.
You stood up and walked towards Baby, who was standing beside Ballora. Freddy groaned sadly and crawled behind you.
"Woah!" you blurted as Freddy slid his head between your legs.
He lifted you up, and you crawled back some, sitting comfortably on his back. He walked towards the table and looked at the animatronics.
"Why are you acting like this?" Foxy asked Freddy, and Freddy tilted his head. "Oh, you know what I'm talking about. You're flirting with (Y/N)."
Foxy crossed his arms. Freddy's ears fell back and he lowered his head. You patted his head, but he slid you off his back. He pushed you up and you stumbled forward some. He lay down and covered his eyes with his paws. You crossed your arms, stuck out your lip, then furrowed your eyebrows at Foxy.
"Oh, leave them alone, Foxy. They're cute together," Ballora hushed him, making you blush and look at your feet.
"Foxy . . ." Bon-Bon said nicely.
"Yeah?" Foxy asked him.
"Shut up," Bon-Bon growled as he squinted at him; Foxy's face plates twitched as he glared at the rabbit.
"Guys! You aren't getting what I'm saying! He's found a body--the thing we've been looking for!" Baby pointed out, waving her hands all over the place.
"Yes, Baby, we know," Ballora said.
"Why aren't you guys excited?" Baby bounced in her stance.
"You know how I am, and Foxy's too busy being jealous," Ballora said.
"You shut up!" Foxy snapped.
Ballora's head spun--at lightning speed--to look at Foxy, her face plates twitching; Foxy shrunk a bit. She relaxed her face plates and squinted at Foxy. She turned back to look at Baby.
"How did this happen, though?" Ballora asked.
"I don't know."
You kneeled down beside Freddy and rubbed his head. He looked up at you and huffed and you smiled at him. You closed your eyes and kissed his nose lovingly. He crossed his eyes to look at his nose. You giggled and he smiled as he looked back at you. He stood up and came towards you.
You fell back as Freddy leaned on you. You laughed as his head rested on your chest. He looked at you and licked your chin, then nibbled on your ear, tickling you. You laughed and pushed his snout away.
He put his nose against your neck and started to sniff you. You giggled as you tensed up. Freddy sighed and laid his head down. You grinned, and he nuzzled his head into your chest and closed his eyes. Foxy growled.
"Hey, Freddy. Come with me for a second. Follow me into the kitchen," Foxy said as he stood up.
"Why?" you demanded as you held Freddy's cheek to yours.
Freddy reached his tongue over to lick you. You smiled at him, then immediately did a 180 as you glared at Foxy.
"I just want to talk to him about lady friends and such," Foxy said as he opened the doors to the kitchen.
"Okay," you said slowly, still glaring at Foxy.
You slid out from underneath Freddy and stood up. Freddy walked off and Foxy gestured for him to walk in. You saw Foxy's face plates twitch before he shut the doors.
Everyone was quiet as you tried to listen in on what was going on. You jumped when you heard an animatronic scream. You ran into the kitchen. You saw Foxy hunched over Freddy's dead body. His mouth was covered with blood, Freddy's throat tore apart.
You gasped and pushed Foxy off him. He stumbled into Freddy's old suit and it fell onto the ground. You sat on your knees, staring at Freddy. Foxy stood beside Freddy's dead body and stared down at you with dead eyes. Baby and Ballora came into the kitchen. Bon-Bon crawled onto your leg and nudged your head. You looked down at him, then up at the limp body. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a pan on the edge of the countertop. You closed your eyes and sighed, Bon-Bon slipping from your lap. Your hands balled up tightly and your teeth gritted.
"Let me explain--"
Foxy was interrupted when Bon-Bon chomped down on his ankle. He created a distraction long enough for you to jump towards the counter, pick up the pan, and hit Foxy across the face. He fell onto the floor and held his hand on his jaw in disbelief
"HOW COULD YOU?" you screamed, your grip on the pan tightening.
You breathed heavily and a tear ran down your cheek. You looked down at Foxy with disappointment. His face plates twitched as he slowly stood up. He kicked Bon-Bon off his ankle, then jumped at you, screeching. You pulled the pan back to hit him again, but Foxy was pushed into the wall.
"I-I'm sorry, I ju-st don't want to see you t-two fight," Freddy stuttered.
You looked up at the animatronic and dropped the pan. You jumped at him and wrapped your arms around his neck. You smiled as you hugged him tightly. Freddy blushed and wrapped his arms around you.
You stood back on the ground. "You're alive."
"Oh, um, y-eah. Foxy, wh-why'd you try to attack (Y/N)?" Freddy looked at Foxy.
"'Cause she hit me with a pan!"
"Why'd you hi-hit Foxy with a pan?"
"Because he killed you! Well, the bear you."
"F-oxy, you didn't te-tell her?"
"Tell me what?"
"She didn't give me the time!"
"Didn't give you the time to tell me what!"
"I told him to kill me," Freddy said.
You blinked at Freddy, registering what he said. You pushed him.
"You worried me, you fart! Why, though?" you said.
"I'm sorry, that bo-dy wasn't right for me," he said, shaking his head.
"But you were so cute . . . and fluffy," you pouted.
"But, I-I couldn't talk to-to you." Freddy blushed.
"What do you mean?" you asked
"I mean exactly wh-what I said. I could-n't talk to you" he said.
"That's cute," Ballora said.
Both you and Freddy blushed. "Wait a minute, how did you know you would go back to your original body?"
"Well, I-I mean . . . I was the one th-that traveled from one-one body to another," he said.
"Does that mean we all can do that?" Baby asked.
"I don't know," Freddy said.
"Oh, Foxy- I-I'm sorry," you mumbled, scratching the back of your neck.
"Yeah, fuck you," he growled; you smiled at him and he rolled his eyes.
"Freddy thinks you're cute!" Bon-Bon yelled at you.
Your eyes widened at the sudden--and weird--outburst. Freddy blushed brighter. You looked at him and smiled.
"You think I'm cute?" you murmured; you could've sworn your pupils grew twice the size they were before.
"Y-yeah," Freddy said, scratching the back of his neck and looking down at the ground.
"Wh-why, thank you," you said, shifting your weight onto your toes, then on your heels.
"I m-mean, I think Bo-Bon-Bon's cute too."
"Not in the same way!" Bon-Bon sang, and Freddy mumbled and twiddled his thumb.
"Alright, enough with the googly eyes. How about we forget all of this and go play our game?" Foxy suggested.
"Okay," Baby said--although deep in thought--and walked out of the kitchen.
"I'm down with that! Last one there's a rotten egg!" you announced and ran out.
"Hey!" Foxy blurted and ran after you.
