Swimming (Chapter Fifty-Three)
"Ohh. My tummy hurts," you groaned as you lay on the foam mattresses covered in candy wrappers.
"Mine too," Bon-Bon mumbled as he lay above you.
Freddy groaned as he rolled back and forth and held his stomach. Foxy rubbed his stomach as he lay sprawled out on Ballora's stage. Ballora pranced around in a worrisome way, as she tried to dance off all the calories she just ingested. Baby lay asleep beside Foxy. Ballora twirled to the bottom of the pads and stopped.
"Why don't we go swimming?" Ballora suggested.
"Right now?" you groaned.
"Yeah. We can at least set up the pool," Ballora said.
"Huh?" Baby blurted as she quickly sat up.
"You want to go swimming?" Ballora asked.
"Yeah." Baby nodded as she jumped off the stage.
"What is it?" Bon-Bon wondered groggily.
"Swimming. They want to go swimming." You sighed.
"Swimming!" Bon-Bon asked as he sat up.
"Yeah," you mumbled as your eyes drooped.
"I wanna go swimming," Bon-Bon laughed.
"Freddy?" you muttered.
"Hm?" he whined.
"Do you want to go swimming?" you slurred.
"Yeah!" Freddy cheered.
"Ugh! Foxy?" you groaned.
"Sure, whatever." Foxy huffed.
"UGH!" you groaned and sat up, the wrappers on you falling into your lap. "Who put all these wrappers on me?"
"Oh, that was me. I wanted to make your pain more dramatic," Bon-Bon told you.
"By making a mess?" you sneered.
"No. Since you ate so much candy, I wanted to put all the wrappers on you. That way you'd be piled up in wrappers and- . . ." Bon-Bon explained, but stopped and sighed. "Yeah, I guess I did."
"Mm- That's okay," you said as you started picking up wrappers.
"I guess I can help," Bon-Bon mumbled as he crawled to you and started grabbing papers.

"O-kay," you blurted as you and the rest walked out of the elevator.
"I've got the box," Foxy announced.
"It's kind of heavy," Baby told him.
He walked over as the rest stepped off the stage and watched. With ease, he pushed the box to the edge of the stage. You and the rest stood around it and made sure it didn't drop too hard. Foxy jumped off the stage and slid the box across the pizzeria. He looked over at Baby and smirked, and she growled and glared at him. Bon-Bon opened the door and Foxy moved the box through the doorway and over to the edge of the pavement.
"Where do you guys want to set this thing up?" Foxy asked.
"Maybe we can put it on the other side of the pizzeria. That way people can't see us as easily," Baby suggested.
"That sounds suspicious, but I agree," Ballora mused.
"On the other side, it is!" you gushed.
Foxy tipped the box over and laid it down on the grass. He started to push it towards the back of the pizzeria. Baby snickered and hopped onto it, sitting down and smirking at Foxy. Foxy scoffed and glared at Baby as he kept moving forward. He smirked and grabbed the bottom of the box, lifting it up and tipping it over, causing Baby to slide off it and fall onto the ground.
"Fine," Baby huffed and stomped beside Ballora.

"Is it done yet?" Baby wondered as she ran up to the side of the pool.
"Yeah, go tell Foxy to turn off the water," you muttered as you held the hose.
You and the rest were able to take off and connect all the hoses from the showers, and the hose from the kitchen sink. But since that wasn't long enough, you just went out and bought a garden hose.
"Won't we need bathing suits?" Ballora wondered.
"Yeah, hold this," you said and handed Ballora the hose--she grabbed it and pointed it back into the pool.
"Where are you going?" Freddy asked.
"I'm gonna go start the car," you told him as you walked towards the side of the pizzeria.
"I'll go with you," he said and ran up beside you.
"O-kay?" you chuckled as he followed you down the side of the pizzeria.
You walked to the side of the car and opened the door. You sat in the driver's seat and put the key into the ignition, turning it and starting the car. Freddy got in the passenger side and closed the door after he sat down. You looked over at him and he pointed to the door. You raised an eyebrow and looked over at the door, then him. He pointed to your door and his, and you tilted your head. He facepalmed and leaned across you, grabbing the door handle and shutting it. You looked at him wide eyed and he sighed.
Your eyebrows knitted and you frowned. "What is it, Fredbear?"
"I don't know. I'm just confused," Freddy mumbled.
"What do you mean?" you chuckled nervously.
"I just have this feeling, and I don't know how to tell you," Freddy sighed.
"Oh, no, you want to break up with me, don't you?" you worried.
"No, no. It's not bad," Freddy assured you.
"Oh, phew," you sighed, and then chuckled nervously, "Then, what is it?"
"I just- . . . It's- . . . It's stupid," Freddy stammered.
"Oh, that doesn't matter," you gushed.
"I don't want to bother you about something that's not worth caring about. It-It's not important," Freddy mumbled and you grabbed his hands.
"Fredbear, if something is really bothering you, then it doesn't matter how stupid it is. I just want to help," you told him gently.
"It's really not that important. So, let's just forget about it, honey," Freddy said.
"Well, okay," you muttered as you blushed brightly.
"That was cute," Bon-Bon clucked through squished cheeks.
"Huh?" you wondered as you looked back; Foxy, Baby, Ballora, and Bon-Bon--in his puppet form--were sitting in the back. "When did you guys get in here?"
"We've been in here the whole time," Baby said.
"What was the first thing you heard us say?" you asked.
" 'What is it, Fredbear,' " Foxy said monotonically.
"But, when did you guys come in?" You huffed.
"As Freddy leaned across you to shut the door," Ballora explained.
"But, how didn't we hear you?" you muttered.
"We closed the doors the same time Freddy did," Bon-Bon added.
"How'd we not notice, though?" you mused.
"UGH! It doesn't matter. Let's just go," Foxy groaned.
"Did you guys make sure to turn off the water?" you said as you buckled up.
"Yes, we did," Ballora told you as Bon-Bon crawled onto Freddy's shoulder and everyone else buckled up.
~ ~ ~ ~
"Freddy, why is there a t-shirt here?" you scolded him as you lifted it off the conveyor belt.
"I think that's Bon-Bon's," Freddy quavered.
"Now, Freddy, why would you get a shirt?" you huffed.
"I don't want to wear just a pair of shorts . . . with the rest of my body uncovered," Freddy confessed.
"They're a pair of trunks. And why don't you want to wear just them?"
"Because, it's almost the same thing as wearing only underwear," Freddy mumbled.
"Yeah, but . . ." You sighed and dropped it back onto the belt, and Freddy smiled sheepishly. "Now, let's see here, what all did you guys get?"
You looked through the pile of clothes as the person in front of you wrapped up their shopping. You saw three pairs of trunks--one light pink with black strings, a blue one with white strings, a light purple one that had a button, and a black one with shells and tassels decorated on it. There was also a dark blue, wrinkle--designed one piece and a bright red, ruffled one piece.
"Wait. No toys?"
"What do you mean?" Foxy wondered.
"Quickly, go grab some water toys," you told him and the rest spastically.
They all ran off towards the aisles of the dollar store as the lady at the cash register started to scan your items. You tapped your fingers on the shopping cart as you bit your lip nervously.
"How are you today?" the lady asked.
"Oh, um, good. A-and you?" you stuttered.
"Good. Your total is fifty dollars," she stated.
"Um, my friends will be here in a few minutes with a few other things," you chuckled nervously.
"Oh, okay," she said.
Your lips quivered and your stomach churned and you looked over towards the rest. You stood and waited anxiously as the silence ate away at your ears. You gulped as quietly as you could, but it wasn't quiet enough, as the lady behind the register looked up at you and showed off a toothy grin. You smiled nervously, and a thud made you turn your head. The rest had made it back with a few foam noodles, foam squirt guns, and a swan and duck pool floats.
'Oh, thank goodness they're back,' you thought, then sighed aloud.
~ ~ ~ ~
"Where's the shirt?" Freddy croaked.
"Freddy, you really don't need the shirt," you told him.
"But, I don't want you to see me without it," Freddy confessed.
"Why's that?" you asked as the rest grabbed theirs and walked into the bathrooms.
"I just don't," Freddy whispered.
". . . Are you being self-conscious?" you snickered, and Freddy frowned; you hugged him. "Fredbear, I love you for what's on the inside, not on your outside."
"Well, o-kay," Freddy mumbled as he blushed brightly.
"Besides, I think your tummy is cute." You winked, poking his stomach, and he blushed brightly. "Now, why don't we go change?"
Freddy nodded and walked with you into the pizzeria. You quickly ran over to the dumpster and threw the shirt into it. Freddy looked at you with an eyebrow raised as you hopped back inside. You walked into the other bathroom as Freddy went into the boys' bathroom.
"(Y/N), is that you?" Ballora wondered from one of the stalls.
"Yeah," you replied. "Sorry, I didn't want to be in there while the other guys were changing."
"How do we put these on?" Baby whined, and you giggled.
"Just, take all of your clothes off and use your common sense," you chuckled as you walked into one of the stalls.
"What does that mean?" Baby asked.
"I mean, use your common sense with where you should put your legs and such," you explained as you undressed.
"Oh, okay." Baby perked up.
You pulled on the trunks, fixing the strings up. You heard Baby and Ballora walk out of their stalls. You stepped out and saw Baby and Ballora looking at themselves in the mirror and at each other.
"Are you sure these aren't too revealing?" Ballora gulped.
"They're bathing suits," you sneered as you walked up behind them.
"I-I don't feel very comfortable," Baby mumbled.
"Guys, everyone wears these. They're normal, and you don't need to feel uncomfortable," you assured them, and they looked back at you.
"Well--" Ballora started, then looked away as she saw you; Baby quickly covered her eyes.
"Guys," you groaned.
"Y-yes?" Baby stuttered, and you sighed.
"There's nothing wrong about these. As long as they cover up enough, they're fine," you added.
"If you say so." Ballora sighed and looked at herself in the mirror.
"I-I . . . think . . . you look p-pretty, Ballora," Baby stammered.
"You think so? Well, I think you look cute." Ballora giggled.
"See," you crowed.
"And you look amazing," Baby added as she turned and looked at you.
"Really?" you murmured as you blushed brightly.
"Absolutely," Ballora gushed, and you rubbed the side of your arm.
"Well, let's not keep the boys waiting," you muttered as you walked towards the door.
You walked out, along with the other two. You looked around for the boys, but you didn't see them. You peeked into the boys' bathroom and looked over at the stalls, but they weren't there either. You sighed and walked outside.
"Where could they have gone?" you mused.
"Well, they seem to have already taken the pool stuff. So, they must already be there," Ballora suggested.
You walked around the corner and giggled as you saw a noodle flail around. You could hear the three boys talking, but one of them sounded upset--which you guessed was Foxy. When you got to the corner, you saw Foxy glaring at Freddy with his arms crossed, Bon-Bon gripping tightly on a pool noodle, and Freddy covering himself as best he could.
"I swear, Foxy, if you say another word about it, I'm gonna shove this noodle up your butt!" Bon-Bon growled.
"It's not my fault Freddy's being so weird about it!" Foxy snapped.
"I only said that I felt uncomfortable that we were basically in our underwear!" Freddy defended himself.
"Exactly!" Foxy ranted.
"Goddamnit, Foxy!" Bon-Bon shrieked.
"Language!" you scolded him.
Freddy and the rest looked up at you and their faces instantly flushed. You raised a brow as you looked between the three. Freddy covered his eyes as Bon-Bon dropped his noodle and Foxy gulped loudly.
"What?" you wondered.
"You're basically in your underwear," Foxy muttered.
"Ugh," you groaned and blushed brightly. "Guys, don't make this weirder than it is."
"Holy shit," Bon-Bon gasped.
"Hey!" you snapped, then sighed. "Let's just have some fun."
"Oh, I am," Foxy snickered as he looked at you.
"Ew," you scoffed.
You bent down and grabbed the noodle off the ground. Foxy continued to stare at you as you walked up to him. You quickly hit him in the side of the head with the noodle and he winced as he moved his hand to his head. You crossed your arms, and Foxy glared at you. You frowned and tapped your foot in a scornful way.
"Swimming," you hissed.
"Yeah, yeah. I know," Foxy sneered and walked over to the pool: he stuck his hand in the water and shuddered, "It's cold."
"Seriously," you whined.
"But, it was warm when we put it in," Bon-Bon sighed.
"Yeah, bummer," Foxy mused as he walked up to Bon-Bon.
"What?" Bon-Bon sneered as Foxy reached for him. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing," Foxy snickered, and Bon-Bon tried to run away, but Foxy grabbed his arm and picked him up.
"What are you doing?" Bon-Bon screeched as Foxy lifted him over his head.
"I'm not doing any-thing," Foxy said creepily and stood at the edge of the pool with Bon-Bon over his head.
"NO! FOXY, STOP! I'LL DO ANYHING, JUST DON'T DO THIS!" Bon-Bon blurted worrisomely.
"It's too late," Foxy mumbled, then threw Bon-Bon into the pool; Bon-Bon's cry for help was stopped as he splashed into the water.
"AHH! IT'S COLD!" Bon-Bon shuddered as he jumped up.
He waddled to the edge of the pool and up to Foxy and his smug look. Bon-Bon growled and splashed water at Foxy. You stepped back, trying to avoid the water, and Foxy gasped as he stumbled back. Bon-Bon held back a snicker as Foxy scoffed and looked up at him.
"Really?" Foxy scoffed, and Bon-Bon waddled back.
Foxy quickly grabbed a squirt gun and jumped into the water. He gasped and shivered as he stood up. He filled the gun and aimed at Bon-Bon. Bon-Bon put his hands up and looked at Foxy with wide eyes. Foxy slowly shook his head and shot at him. As the water hit his chest, Bon-Bon dramatically fell back in "slow motion."
"Here," Baby got his attention and grabbed another gun.
She tossed it to Bon-Bon and he caught it. As Foxy reloaded his, Bon-Bon quickly filled his up and shot Foxy. Foxy dramatically flinched back and sunk into the water--in "slow motion." You smirked as you watched the two, and suddenly, you became aware of the stare you were being given. You looked over and saw Freddy looking at you creepily.
"Hm?" you hummed, and Freddy smiled slyly at you.
"Is it normal to feel this way?" Ballora asked dazily as she held a half-filled float.
"No, not really," you chuckled nervously and gently grabbed the swan from her. "I'll just finish it for you."
~ ~ ~ ~
"Kch, blue sparrow to pink flamingo," Bon-Bon whispered as he loomed in the pool.
"Flamingo? I thought we agreed on eagle," Foxy hissed next to him.
"Eagles aren't pink," Bon-Bon murmured.
"But flamingoes are lame," Foxy sneered quietly.
"It doesn't matter," Bon-Bon scoffed.
"It does to me," Foxy huffed.
"Oh for--" Bon-Bon sneered, then sighed. "Kch, blue sparrow to pink eagle, come in pink eagle."
"Kch, what is it, blue sparrow?" Foxy whispered.
"Kch, red cardinal and violet hummingbird haven't been spotted," Bon-Bon replied.
"Kch, I think I see them," Foxy responded.
"Kch, where?"
"Kch, behind blue raven."
"Kch, you're right. Prepare for ambush," Bon-Bon whispered.
Foxy and Bon-Bon waddled towards Ballora, who was lying on the swan float. Baby and Freddy were hiding behind her. Baby peeked around the float and saw Foxy and Bon-Bon loading their guns. She gasped and nudged Freddy, but he continued to stare at you dreamily as you lay on the duck float. Foxy and Bon-Bon stood up as they aimed at Baby and Freddy. Ballora peeked one of her eyes open and glared at Foxy and Bon-Bon, and they dropped their weapons.
"Kch, or don't," Bon-Bon said.
"Kch, roger that." Foxy sighed.
"Hey, Baby?" Bon-Bon said as he stood on his tiptoes to see her.
"I thought we were doing the nicknames?" Baby asked as she stood up as well.
"We were, but, why don't we move this somewhere else?" Bon-Bon suggested nervously as he looked at Ballora.
"Yeah. Come on, Freddy," Baby said as she looked over at Freddy, but she was looking at nothing but water. "Freddy?"
"You lost Freddy?" Foxy sneered as he looked over at Baby.
"He's over there," Bon-Bon scoffed as he pointed to Freddy, who was peeking out of the water and at you from the side of your float.
"(Y/N)," Foxy snickered.
"Huh?" you asked as you squinted over at him.
"You seem to have a visitor," he smirked as he pointed at Freddy.
"Huh? AH!" you shrieked as you jumped back.
"Sorry," Freddy blurted as he jumped up and put his hands up sympathetically.
"GET HIM!" Foxy bellowed as he pointed his gun at you.
"What?" you objected.
Foxy, Bon-Bon, and Baby, shot water at you, and you put your hands up as you gasped. You leaned over and fell into the water. As you jumped up and out of the water, Foxy hit you with a noodle, and you huffed. You grabbed the noodle from him and repeatedly hit him with it. He went under the water and swam away. You waited till he came back up to smack him again.
"Why?" you barked at Baby and Bon-Bon.
"Sorry, (Y/N), I couldn't help it," Bon-Bon snickered.
"Pfft, 'I couldn't help it.' Yeah, right," you sneered.
"Sorry," Bon-Bon chuckled.
"You really sound sorry. Hand me a gun," you demanded.
Bon-Bon laughed as he waddled over to the ladder of the pool. He grabbed the last water gun and tossed it to you. You loaded it and looked around for Foxy. Baby lowered and pointed over towards behind the duck float. You smirked, and the three of you stalked towards him.
"ATTACK!" you shouted and strode towards Foxy.
He jumped back and shot at you as you shot at him. Baby and Bon-Bon helped you, but Foxy dodged them and went under water.
"Careful, men, this one's a trained assassin," you grumbled.
Behind you, you heard water splash, and you quickly looked behind you. Bon-Bon held his hand over his chest and his eyes started to roll back into his head. You gasped and jumped after him as he fell back, just in time to catch him. You held him and put your ear over his heart: there was still a heartbeat.
"Blue sparrow, talk to me," you whispered.
"Go on . . . without me," he coughed.
"No, we'll patch you up. You can't do this to us," you worried.
"It's too late for me," Bon-Bon wheezed, then closed his eyes and went limp.
"No! Blue sparrow! Come on, buddy!" you cried out.
"Black crow?" Baby mumbled, and you sighed.
"He's gone," you croaked.
You sniffled and carried Bon-Bon over to the float. You carefully laid him on it and dropped your head. Baby stood behind you and looked at Bon-Bon in dismay. The sound of water moving made you gasp and turn around. You held up your gun and looked around cautiously.
"Black crow, I'm scared," Baby whispered.
"Don't worry, red cardinal," you mumbled.
"I don't think I can--" Baby started, then let out a choking sound as you heard water being squirted.
"Red cardinal?" you gasped as you turned around.
Baby stumbled and leaned over the float. You dropped your gun and held her up. She coughed, and you lifted her onto the float. She lay back as her feet dangled into the water. You shuffled beside her and looked down at her. You quickly put a few droplets of water on your cheek and sniffled.
"Red cardinal. You can't leave me," you whispered.
"You have to do this."
"But--"
"For us," Baby pleaded.
You opened your mouth to say something, but quickly shut it and nodded. You grabbed your gun and held it to your chest. You breathed in deeply and stood your ground. You closed your eyes and felt the water shift. You smirked and quickly opened your eyes, turned around, and shot Foxy in the chest. His eyes widened and he dropped his gun. He slowly blinked and looked down at his chest. He looked up at you with his jaw dropped, and you blew away the "gun smoke" from the barrel. He slowly shrunk into the water as you squinted up at the sky as you stood tall.
