chapter 11
Gaby snuck back in the theater and sat in the very back where no one could see her. As the teacher and director and tech manager introduced themselves and talk about the play. Gaby stayed hidden she saw Alyssa helping the stage crew with some props.
'I hope Alyssa won't get hurt I need to be ready to stop them.'
As they showed them to their seats which were in the middle. As they sat down Gaby sat at the top to keep watch and to make sure she wasn't seen.
Aaron somehow saw her from the corner of his eye. He smiled knowing she was being cautious about her warning.
'Now let's see how they try to pull this with so many suspects around us.' He thought as he grabs his fiancee's hand and squeezed her hand. She squeezed his hand showing that she cares. She may not show it as much with him, but she really cares about him in a different way.
~~~~~
Omar was running to the security office but saw that they weren't there. He searches for any way to call them and found nothing.
"What is with security in this school?!" He left and went to the office hoping he would make it in time to help Gaby.
~~~
'The play they choose was phantom of the opera. A very difficult to perform to its true glory. The girl name Alyssa played her part very well. She might be one of the few stars I've seen along with a few other actors in the play.' Mayra thought as she kept looking at how they stayed in characters. She already made a mental list of performers she thought were precious gems.
Aaron kept holding Mayra's hand the whole time. She's starting to get the feeling something was wrong. She knew he very possessive and protective over her. Even before she agreed to marry him she could tell a when he on edge.
"Aaron is something wrong?" She whispered quietly.
"No, I just want to hold your hand that's all." He said as she looked at him from the corner of her eye. He looked serious and when he looks like that something is going to happen.
'He's hiding something and it's something to do with me or Summer.'
~~~~~~
Gaby kept quiet as they began to change the set the lights went out. Shuffling from the stage crew was heard and the light came back on. There was a whole new set already placed from before. She estimated they turn the lights off and on. Is the amount of time they have to change sets without wasting more than five minutes.
'They must have gotten used to changesets in less time to not keep the audience waiting. Each set looks different and this is the third set. So they must be a specific set that takes a bit of time to keep the audience waiting.' She looked into her bag to see the time and notice that Omar is really late to bring the security.
"What's taking him so long?" She whispered to herself. All of a sudden everyone screamed the lights went off and everyone stops acting.
"Everyone calm down something happen to the main power switch. So please remain calm while we get the lights back on." The director said as he and a member of the stage crew went with him.
'Wait this can be what they're waiting for. But which side will they come from?' She got her taser ready. She saw someone coming from the right side of the stage come out. She took this as a warning to hide and move in to stop him.
'Omar hurry I could really use your help.' She slowly crept two rows behind where Arron and the others sat.
~~~~~
Omar found the security guards were flirting with some single moms. As he catches his breath the guards saw the bag which Gaby told him to take.
"My god you guys should at least have an extra radio. I've been looking for you guys everywhere."
"What seems to be the problem?" One of the guards as he gave him the bag.
"I found this in the dressing rooms near the theater along with bloody gloves and a pickle jar. Those killer clowns are going to kill that lady and her friends. Please you got to believe me I would never make up things to blame others." He said as the headmaster came out. He heard everything from the open door. He also knew his honorary students wouldn't make up some silly story.
"Was Gaby the one who told you to look for the guards?" He nodded his head.
"Men what are waiting for my student are in danger. Go do your job and stop those clowns from destroying our school's reputation!"
"Yes sir!" The security guards said as the ran to stop their plan.
"Omar make sure my students don't get hurt." The headmaster said as Omar began to run to the theater.
'Hang on help is on the way.'
