Today is Opposite Day
Which means it's actually not
When you feel icy cold
You have to say it's hot

Now opposite day is here
I'm having so much fun
Everyone is full of cheer
The world wars are gone

Money is growing on trees
The sky is raining sweets
Nobody's stung by bees
No traffic-jammed streets

People are calling to greet
Restaurants open for free
Kids respect their elders
No one is cutting a tree

My house is squeaky clean
Nobody's making a sound
People stopped being mean
A Ferrari costs ten pounds

I really like Opposite Day
The best day of my life
Nobody's lying anymore
And my age is back to five

Ok I started writing this poem as a playful , children- inspired theme. I've seen this in cartoons and kids shows.  I had no idea that there is an actual National Opposite day in the USA on 25th January. So here you go....
