September 1st

Edward's POV

   Edward arrived at the kings cross train station. With his suitcase, which contains some research notes, his wand, books, some robes, and lastly some envelopes so he can write alphonse if needed to. And his ticket for platform nine and three-quarters.

   Not seeing a platform nine and three-quarters. Edward figured that since the school teaches magic, they probably have to have a magic entrance to keep normal people from stumbling upon the magic world. Ed went to put his hand on the wall between platform nine and ten. But instead of his hand landing on wall like he expected, his hand went straight though the wall instead.

   When Ed stepped though the wall completely. He stood in shock, there was a whole damn train. The train was labeled : Hogwarts express.

   "Crazy ass liarzds"

   " Don't you mean wizards?"

   Turning around Ed seen a girl with brown brushy hair.

   " Isn't that what I said?" Ed asked

   " No, you said ' lizards'" The girl said

   The girl was about to say something but then the train whistled.

  "Im going to go now I got go find a empty compartment, umm see you later I guess" Ed said about to walk away.

  "You can sit with me and my friends" the girl offered

  "Nah, maybe next time" Edward mumbled

   "Ok then, see you" she said with a wave.

   Edward then walked off to find a empty compartment.

   When Edward finally found an empty compartment. He put his suitcase up, having to stand on his tippy toes to do it. Then sat down by the window and fell asleep.

   Edward woke up twice during the train ride. Firstly because a women pushing a trolley knocked on the the compartment door, waking Ed up to ask if he wanted anything but he politely declined and went back to sleep. The second time was when a boy with blonde hair with pale skin knocked on his compartment door.

   "Excuse me, but I wanted to ask you something." The blonde boy asked

   " What is it?" Ed asked trying to rub the sleep from his eyes.

   " I never seen you here, you don't look like a first year you look to old to be, but you look to small be a 4th year as well" the blonde boy stated

    " I AM A 4TH YEAR! AND DON'T CALL ME SMALL!" Ed yelled

   " Ok, the why haven't I seen you here before?" The boy asked crossing his arms.

   " I'm an exchange student" Ed repiled

   " From where?"

   " Are you always so nosey?"

   " Well I have to ask questions because I don't know of I can trust you?"

   "Who said I ever said I wanted your trust?" Ed declared

   "No one, but you do need to make friends at school."

   " Who said I needed friends?"

   " Me"

   " Who are you anyways, you're really annoying"

   "Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, you?"

   "Edward Elric"

   " How is that spelled?" Draco asked raising a eyebrow.

   " what, my first or last name?"

   " last name"

   "E-l-r-i-c" said  Ed Said slowly. " now you need anything else?" Ed asked irritated

   " so since you're new here you don't know your way around, right?" Ed nodded " Ok then, I'll show you around Hogwarts then since you have no friends"

   " anything else?" Edward asked even more irritated. Draco thought for a second " no that's all" then he turned around and left. "finally I can get some more sle-" edward then got cut off by the someone speaking on the radio thingy, that they're at hogwarts and to change if they haven't yet, and that the students are to leave there stuff on the train and they will take it to their rooms.

   Edward got changed into his wizard robes, 'not exactly my color or style' Ed thought to himself. Draco came up to him " hey Ed you should go with the first year's to be sorted" Draco stated

   " And where are the first years?" Ed asked

   "You see that giant over there by the boats?" Draco said pointing

   Edward turned towards the boats to see a giant guy telling first years to follow him.

   Ed said a quick thanks before making his way over by the giant. "excuse me" Edward asked called up to the giant

   " Huh, oh are you a firs' year?"

   " No, I'm an exchange student" Ed stated a little annoyed

   "Ohhh ok, just follow me and the rest of the firs' years then"

   Edward got in boat with some first years. When they got to hogwarts Edward and the first years waited in the hall then waited in the great hall. Where a stern looking lady took a stool and a old patched up hat and then the hat started to sing, Edward was kind of creeped out that they made a hat that could speak. After the song ended the stern looking lady started calling kids up, the hat would be placed on their heads and then the hat would say ethier say Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin. Then the kid would take off the hat and go to the cheering table.
 
    After all the first years were sorting the Headmaster who's name Ed found out to be Dumbledore, stated that before they start the feast that he wanted to announce that they have two exchange students. When the headmaster announced there's two exchange students, Ed finally noticed that there was a kid with dyed blue hair fading into white and gray eyes.
  
   The stern lady called " Elric, Edward".Edward turned around and up to the stool and sat down with the hat on his head.

   But when Edward put the hat on his head he heard a voice in his head saying 'Mmmhh, another difficult case'

   'Should I be concerned that there's a voice in my head?' Ed asked the hat

  'No, there's nothing to fear, I'm only trying to decide what house to put you in' The hat reassured ' You would do amazing in Ravenclaw with that brain of your, but also Slytherin with that determination for completing your goals, maybe even Gryffindor since you take on almost everything in your path without fear.'

   ' Wait, wait, wait, how do you know all this?' Edward ordered

  ' I'm the sorting hat, I can see whats in your mind to see what house you would be great in' The hat answered

   ' You have great reason, but that's still creepy' Edward replied

'Ok, I think I have decided now

"GRYFFINDOR!" the hat yelled out aloud.
  Edward then took the hat off and walking to the cheering table.

" Johnson, Issac!" The stern lady called and the other exchange student walked up and put the hat on his head. A minute or two passed and Issac looked like he was arguing with the hat but after a few seconds the hat yelled "GRYFFINDOR" Issac then took the hat off and and walked over and sat down with a thud.

   Afterwards Dumbledore said something about a Wizarding tournament called the 'Triwizard Tournament' but Edward wasn't paying much attention to it. He just wanted to sleep so he put his head down on the table. And then the feast started but he wasn't really hungry so he tried to sleep.

" You're not going to eat?" A voice behind him asked

   Edward opened his eyes and lifted his head up to see the same brown brushy haired girl from the train station standing behind him with a redhead beside her and beside the redhead was a boy with a scar on his head that looked like a lightning bolt

   "No, I'm not hungry" Edward responded putting his back on the table

" Oh, at the train station I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Hermione Granger" Hermione told Edward " And this Ron Weasley" she said pointing to the redhead " And this is Harry Potter" she then pointed to the one with scar. Ed said hello and introduced himself.

   " Do you got anyone showing you around hogwarts yet?" Hermione asked

   " yeah, I think his name was Draco Malfoy" When Edward said that Hermione looked disappointed.

  " You might wanna be careful around him, mate" Ron warned " you never know what Malfoy's are goin do"

" Is there a problem Weasley?"

Edward turned to see Draco and two kids who looked like bodyguards, coming up to the table.

"Nothing that concerns you" Ron said with a disgusted look on this face

   " Edward, you know you don't have to hang around these losers right?" Draco says returning the disgusted face back to  the Ron.

   " Don't be so rude, they were only saying  hello" Edward says angrily and sleepy

   " See tomorrow then" Draco said giving the trio one last look before walking back to the Slytherin table.

The trio sat down and asked a couple of questions but Ed fell asleep at some point. Hermione woke Edward up at the end up the feast telling him that everyone is going back to their common rooms. Edward got up and stretched and then headed back with the Trio back to the common room not noticing that the whole time he was being watched by the other mystery exchange student named Issac.

   When Edward got to the boys dormitory, he seen his stuff by his bed. He thought about writing alphonse that he made it to hogwarts safely but decided he was to tired to write a letter and would tomorrow. So Ed layed down and the second his head touched the pillow he was out cold.
