Alexis had let me go into the city for some bakery shopping. She was a great luna who helped around the kitchen with the other pack cooks. Going off towards a bakery i parked the car and got out. It was also a small restaurant which sold coffee, lates and all that sugary goodness.

As soon as i stepped inside a scent made itself known. The scent that had my wolf perk up in anticipation. The scent of my mate. Lizzy was here? I sniffed the air and when the honey and rose scent became prominent followed with my eyes.

I wanted to make sure that i had percieved her scent really well. My eyes scanned the small cafe/restaurant and they widened as they fell onto lizzy. Her face was towards the door and she was laughing. She was obviously with someone. My wolf egged me to go to her and so i did. Besides i was curious.

"Hey lizzy. Fancy seeing you here," i greeted with a smile.
"Well its definitely not fancy seeing you here!" Somebody snapped.

My head turned in that direction and my smile dropped as i saw tthat it was cole. Why was lizzy here with cole? Was she alone with him? My protective nature came spiralling out and made me fold my hands into fists.

"Well this is a free country. I can go anywhere i please," i narrowed my eyes at him.
"Stop it you two. Please dont start a fight," lizzy said.
"Start a dight? Well tell him to get his sticky face out of here," Cole smirked.
"Actually i think i will make myself at home here. Do you mind?" I asked, looking at lizzy.

"Of course not. Besides theres one chair vacant," lizzy said, smiling at me.
"Well i do mind if you sit here," cole scoffed.
"Come on Cole. Dont be such a dick," lizzy said, making me smile.
"Just for now. But that doesnot mean that i have settled things between us," cole said.

I took a seat next to Lizzy. My wolf in content that i now knew that my mate was allright. She looked absolutely ravishing tonight. Not like she doesnt look everyday just saying. Signalling the waiter i ordered a simple cup of coffe with sugar and milk.

"Arent you going to get something to eat?" Lizzy asked

I looked at her as the waiter left and smiled.

"No. I just came by to pick something up for alexis," i said.
"Yeah well then that means you gotta go right?" Cole asked.

I could tell that cole was in a bad mood and wanted to fighht with me. But i wasnt going to let him provoke me. I wasnt going to let him get the best of me.

"Because i said he could sit next to me," Lizzy said.

I couldnt help but smirk at how she said "sit next to me". She was claiming me as hers and i absolutely liked it.

"Yeah well i am not going to pay his drink," Cole rolled his eyes.
"I dont need your money to pay for my coffee. I can pay for myself perfectly fine. In fact i can pay for the both of you," i said.
"We all know how rich you and your friends are. You dont need to show it off," cole said.
"Cole please stop it. Cyrus is just being nice," lizzy said.

I was starting to get irritated with Cole. My wolf wanted to break free and show him who the boss was. But you couldnt trust humans too much. Who knew you were dealing with a hunter? I slightly calmed down when i felt lizzy squeeze my hand under the table. Even while human she could feel my emotions although they'll be less strong as conpared to a wolf-wolf bond.

"Well it seems as ifeverybody is bbeing nice except me," cole muttered, scowling.
"Cole i came here for a relaxing time with you. Not hearing you bicker," lizzy said.
"Arent you getting a bit bold lizzy?" Cole questioned

At that moment i wished that i could mindlink lizzy. So i could tell her that i would be there to back her up every step of the way. That she didnt need to worry about anybody else.

"Am i? I am just stating a fact," lizzy shrugged.
"Well i think i am going to go up to the counter and order the things alexis wanted," i said, getting up.
"I am coming with you," lizzy said, standing up as well.
"Like i am invisible here," i heard cole mutter.

"Cole has never been this irritating or witty before," lizzy said.
"I dont care about him. His words doesnt affect me because i know that i could easily harm with my single habd if need be," i said, stating the truth.
"I am glad i stopped by. I was missing you," lizzy said.

My heart filled with warmth at lizzy's words and my wolf purred in content.

"Oh well, who wouldnt miss me right? I am too good to ijgnore," i said teasingly.

The two of us walked up to the counter and i ordered the things that alexis needed. I also ordered nutella flavored roll after lizzy what she liked.

"Please try to ignore cole. He doesnt like you," lizzy said, as we walked back to the table.
"I know he hates me. Like is a small word," i said.

After drinking my coffee and paying fir it of course, i made my way out of the shop but not before sparing lizzy a glance. Sigh. Why did things had to be so difficult?
