Cyrus

There i said. It had me eating me alive for the past few days. However long i stayed away from her the more i thought about her and "us". And that Cole guy. Who the hell did he think he was huh? Following Lizzy like a lost puppy.

I watched as Lizzy's mouth fell open and her eyes grew wide. I knew she was afraid of me. She would run away from me. But why was i so damn afraid to see her get scared of me? I knew that i wanted to reject her.

"Werewolves dont exist Cyrus. They are only fictitious characters," Lizzy said, rolling her eyes.

My wolf huffed inside me and i suddenly dragged Lizzy away from the mob of people.

"Hey! Oww! That hurts Cyrus! Let go of my arm!" Lizzy exclaimed.

Ignoring her exclamations i walked into a darkened alley. Once there i pushed her farwords so she faced me. I could see the frightened expression on her face and hated to see that she was scared of me. Her mate.

"You dont believe in werewolves right? Well i am going to show you exactly how false you are," i said.

I could feel my wolf threatening to let lose. He wanted his mate to believe in him. To tell her all his secrets. To show her that she didnt need to be afraid of him. I could feel the transformation taking place.

My body began trembling as i allowed my wolf to take control of my body and mind. To let him out from the recess of my mind. My ears elongated as blonde fur started to sprout from my body. My teeth elongated to form fangs. My nails elongated to form claws. All my senses were enhanced as i stood in front of Lizzy in my blonde wolf form.

I could literally feel her heart skip a beat as her widened eyes stared at me. I laid down on the ground and flattened my ears. This was the gesture that showed that a wolf meant no harm.

"You meant no harm right?" Lizzy asked, softly.

I yipped slowly wagging my tail. Lizzy made small hesitant steps towards me. I laid still on the ground not wanting to scare her away. Her scent of honey and roses wafted strongly to me and my wolf making my wolf give a small growl.

The growl made Lizzy halt in her steps. Her eyes were wide and her expression showed fear. She was afraid of me. Her mate. I didnt want her to be afraid of me. I was the last person whom she coulf feel afraid. I whined making her see that i meant no harm.

Finally Lizzy walked up to me and extended her trembling hand. As soon as her hand touched my fur i felt the sparks shoot up around my body like fireworks. I purred and wagged my tail showing that i liked it. Lizzy patted me and i allowed my big wolf head to lay across her lap. Right now i was in heaven.
"Whats your name?" Lizzy asked.

I opened my eyes and lazily looked at her.  I gave her my wolf grin and locked her hand.

"Thats kind of gross you know," she said.

I barked at her once before shifting into my human form. I heard a shreak and couldnt stop laughing. I knew that she was surprised because i was starked naked. Luckily i had stoked my clothes before shifting into my wolf and changed into them.

"Are you scared of me?" I asked softly.

I suddenly felt self-conscious. What if my mate hated me? How was i going to survive this? A mate's rejection was final. You couldnt undo a rejection.

"No."

I opened my eyes which were squeezed shut. I knew from therelief that flooded through me that there was no way that i was going to reject my mate. Especially not after telling her about me. Of who and what i was. I couldnt just reject her and have her telling the whole human population about us.

"Why not? I just showed you the inner beast of me. Why are you not scared of me?" I asked.
"Because i know that if you wanted to hurt me you would have done so the moment you turned into your wolf," Lizzy said.

I chuckled softly at Lizzy's mature observation.
"True that. Come on. Lets drop you home before your parents start worrying," i said.

Wrapping my arm around her shoulder i walk her back to the shop where i had parked my car.

"What about that friend of yours?" Lizzy asked.
"Oh you mean Jack? He already left. Said i could take the car," i smiled at her.
"But how could he just left? Didnt he need the car?" She asked.

I smiled at Lizzy's worriness. She was going to be a great female Gamma. Speaking of Gamma duty. Shit. I needed to tell her that she would be the third female leader of the pack. But how?

Shaking away the thoughts i closed Lizzy's door after she had settled down and then went to my side of the car. Driving down the town i drove towards Lizzy's house. Well she gave me directions of course.

"Is that why you guys brought the outskirts?" Lizzy asked.
"Yes thats why," i said.
"You know all the people here think you are mighty rich and stuck up," she said.
"Oh really? And what do you think?" I asked, wanting to know her opinion.
"I knew you werent stuck up but about being rich even i had to believe that," she shrugged, offering me a shy smile.

We had arrived at her house by this time.

"See you tomorrow?" I asked, turning arouund to face her.
"Yeah," Lizzy paused.

I waited for her to say something but instead she turned around, got out of the car and practically ran inside her house. I sighed; i didnt want to leave her but i doubt her parents would welcome me warmly. I had to wait till tomorrow. Sigh.
