Cyrus

Damnit! I breathed in and out as i took in the arousal of my mate. I knew that if i didnt claim her as mine or reject her she will go into heat. Sitting next to her in maths class was torturous for me. I couldnt control my wolf around her arousal. I was lucky i hadnt shifted into my wolf amongst humans.

But how could i accept a human mate? Look what happened to my mom. She accepted a human mate and look where that got her. She had to look after the house, pay the bills and look after her children. 

But what happened? My dad hit his children. He didnt abuse me because as soon as i was 18 i moved out of the house to live in the pack house. Even before 18 years of age i was mostly at the pack house so dad couldnt lay a finger on me.

Catlin been made a human was torture enough. I couldnt see the pain she went through every day but she was strong enough to handle herself. As hard as it would seem i dont hate my sister. I mean i only have one sister why should i hate her? Its not her fault that she was born human. Its the genetics.

I paced around in my room. I knew that Lizzy was in heat. I could feel it through every fiber of my being. It was so difficult to not shift amongst humans.

"You are so stupid!"

I turned around to face Alexis who was standing just inside my door with her hands on her hips.

"What?" I asked, perplexed.
"Why dont you just accept Lizzy? You know you want her!" Alexis asked.
"How can i just accept her? She's a human! I dont want a human mate!" I glared at her.

I knew my wolf didnt want to reject Lizzy but i dont think i would be good for her. I mean i was a werewolf and she was a human. Wolf and human couples didnt work out. We werent good couples. She would never fit in.

"She's a girl Cyrus. She wont be like your dad," alexis said.
"How are you so sure?" I asked.
"Not all humans are crazy," she said.
"Whats your point?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"You better accept her Cyrus," she said.
"I dont think so. I will just reject her and get it over with," i shrugged, like it didnt matter to me.
"So you are just making the way clearer for Cole," alexis said.
"How so?" I glared at her.
"You know we arent dumb Cyrus. And neither are you. We all know and heard Cole talk about how he likes Lizzy," Alexis said.

I growled at her lowly as i heard those words. I could feel my wolf come to the surface at the mention of Cole's name. No one could touch Lizzy except me!

"See? You want your mate Cyrus just like the rest of us regardless of her status," alexis said.
"How can i just up and tell her about our race?" I asked.
"Try being her friend first. Gain her trust. Think about the other steps after you have gained her trust," Alexis said.
"You did you get such a good brain?" I asked, making alexis laugh.
"I wasnt made luna for nothing you know," she winked at me.
"Well looks like i better get catched up on the amount of school work i may have missed," i sighed.
"Absolutely," alexis grinned at me.

After alexis left my room i dialled Lizzt's number. How i got her numbet? Well i have my resources. Getting her number was an easy feat.

"Who's this?" Lizzy asked as she picked up the call.

I felt my heart take a leap in my chest-however cheasy that sounds-and cleared my throat.
"Uh hi. Its me Cyrus," i said.
"Oh um hey. How did you get my number?" Lizzy asked.
"I got it from one of your friends. Listen Lizzy i was wondering if huh you would like to help me with the school work that i missed?" I asked.

Shit. Why the fuck was i stuttering? I sound like a girl.

"Of course. When do you think you could start?" Lizzy asked.

I sighed at her soft voice.

"How about today? If you arent busy that is," i added.
"No no. I got nothing to do anyway," she said.
"So can i come at your place at 5?" I asked, glancing at the time.
"Of course you can. I will send you my address," Lizzy said.

Somehow i couldnt stop smiling as i ended the call. Being near my mate brought me excitement. Even though i wasnt keen on interacting with humans. Humans didnt had a mind link. So it was always dangerous to not tell them about what was going on.

I decided to take a run in the forest until it was time to see my mate. I shifted into my blonde wolf and ran into the forest. I needed some pros of having a human mate if i was to accept her.

No way in hell was i going to accept a human mate if she were to endanger my species. I was the Gamma of a pack. Meaning one of the leaders. I didnt want my pack members saying they didnt liked my mate. Didnt want her as a member. Or worst thought of her as a traitor.

I already went through this by having a human dad. That alone made me a half breed and not a full breed like everybody else. I didnt want my future children enduring same insults as my siblings. Once was enough.

Having completed my run i went back to the pack house and changed into decent clothes. I wanted to make a good first impression on Lizzy and her family. I didnt want her parents to think that i was a jerk who only wanted to get into their daughter's pants.
