Full Court Pass

There were only thirty seconds of the game left. I grabbed the basketball and dribbled it, then stopped, raised the ball up and took the three. My heart was pounding.

Please go in!

Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Everyone there was in anticipation as they watched it go in.

The ball went in, the crowd cheered and the buzzer sounded. The game was over, they had won.

"Good job, RJ!" my mother, Rivet called, I waved to both of my parents, proud of what i've accomplished of playing for UCLA for four years.

My father–Ratchet had his phone out and was recording the whole time. He was going to send the video to Grim, who was my adopted grandfather. He wasn't hare, he was on Veldin tending to his garage back in the Solana Galaxy.

You see, Me and Roy weren't born in space like my parents, we were born and raised on Earth, Los Angeles to be exact. My dream is to become a basketball player for the LAKERS.

I just hope they accept ailens on the team.

"Oh, heck yes bro!" My teammate, Jordan said, taking his hand and ruffling my fur.

I grinned and walked up to my teammates.

"We won!"

"We did it!"

"Yeah we did, Terry!"

I grinned and high fived my teammates,

Then, my parents walked up to me.

My mother was a beautiful Lombax, her light purple fur looking white as it hit the lights of the basketball court. She was a resistance member, fighting against Emperor Nefarious to save her dimension.

My father–Ratchet met my mother for the first time, my dad was shocked that he saw another Lombax after twenty-three years. (Insomniac didn't include years in the games so i don't know if that's true)

Then my brother walked up, Roy–AKA 'Tais' I make fun of him a lot.

He has a birth defect, no other male Lombaxes have this defect but only my brother, He got the condition when he was nine years old.

Nobody knew what he had. But all of the sudden, instead of his tail being like mine and dad's, it was like mom's. Bushy and fluffy like her's too.

Roy also went to the same school as me. He wants to become a businessman.

Roy is only a year younger than me, I am twenty-one and he is only twenty. We were born a month and a year apart exactly. I was on June seventeenth and Roy was on July seventeenth.

My father walks up, smiles, hugs me and kisses my head.

"Your mom and I are very proud of you, RJ." he said, smiling at me with his perfect white teeth.

Mom walked up to me and gave me a light punch with her organic arm, then she put her prosthetic arm around my small frame, she pulled me close and she kissed my head, just like dad did a few minutes ago.

"We are so proud of you, junior." mom said smiling

I blushed, my fluffy golden face turned red with embarrassment.

I hugged my parents and smiled.

Later we all went to a nice restaurant in Los Angeles

Roy raised his glass of coke

"A toast to Simba–" I sighed he has been calling me Simba since high school, then he continued talking

"–For winning his last game at UCLA, but this will be a journey as an NBA star!" my brother said.

I felt someone hold my hand, I looked over and smiled, it was my girlfriend Sasha Andrews. We've been dating since eleventh grade, so we've been dating for six years.

God... I loved this woman and I'm planning to propose to her at graduation... or at the end of the caramoney.

I smiled at the thought of doing that. It was actually a good idea.

I loved it. I was going to propose to her at graduation –which was a week away.
