"Are you okay?", Taehyung asked carefully as he sat down beside Jungkook who was curled up in his mother's arms. He looked at Tae with reddened eyes and laughed weakly.
"Do I look like it?", he asked and looked away. Taehyung shook his head quietly but Jungkook couldn't help but feel uncomfortable next to him. The only question that came to his mind while looking at this boy was, why didn't he wait? Why did he leave after Jungkook opened up to him last night? Who on earth would do that?
"I'm sorry", Taehyung mumbled and grabbed Jungkook's hand softly while stroking over it. "I'm so sorry for what happened here today", he whispered and felt tears filling up his own eyes. It was hard for everyone to take in that someone died today - but everyone had their own reasons for feeling bad about it. "It's not your fault", Jungkook shrugged and snuggled a bit closer to his mother. "Can we watch movies tonight, Mum?", he asked her with a cracky voice. Of course she agreed and gave him a kiss on his forehead before concentrating on the police again.
"Hey, uh-", Taehyung started slowly and gulped the fear down. "I could also watch some movies with you tonight", he suggested. For now he wasn't going to give this secret person what it wanted. He couldn't stay away from Jungkook.
"Oh-", Jungkook looked surprised.
"No thank you, Taehyung."

"Okay, guys. It's going down again", Lisa said as she sat in a bar with her two best friends that night. "Yea, the next person died..", Taehyung mumbled and bit his lips nervously.
"We finally have to find a way to stop him guys. This can't keep happening." Jennie ruffled her hair in frustration and looked over to Lisa.
"How? We still have no idea who he is."
"I'm not the only one getting messages again, right?", Taehyung suddenly asked and the girls looked at him. "Messages?", Lisa asked a bit confused. "Like before?"
Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Fuck-", Taehyung hissed and looked around desperately. What should they do now?
"We have to protect Jungkook-", Lisa suddenly threw in. "It's his father who died. And we also know he's getting messages like you do Tae", Jennie stated the facts and the others agreed.
"Looks like our psycho freak has got a new goal in mind." Lisa sighed heavily.
"Time to fight back then", Taehyung got up from his chair, grabbed his phone and left the bar. He would definitely go to Jungkook's place now even though he was pretty clear about not spending the night with him.
So Taehyung made his way to the younger's street which was actually pretty close downtown where he was coming from right now. As he was about to grab his phone his face froze suddenly. "what-", he gasped as he read the text.
'Stop walking, turn around and go home or else you'll regret it'
That's when Taehyung had too much, he rolled his eyes and speeded up on his way to Kookie. He wouldn't let this freak decide over himself, it was his choice, his life and his decision. He arrived there quickly and ringed the door bell impatiently. All he wanted was to see if Jungkook was okay. Not okay in a physical kind of way, no he wanted to know if he was okay emotionally. Jungkook wasn't a person who showed a lot of emotions but Tae knew there were more than enough emotions. Especially the past ones. The boy struggled with a lot in life, but the most dangerous thing was still his mind. It kept on fighting himself, like- all it was trying to do was to get him onto his knees. And this was wrong, it was so wrong.
A healthy mind should establish self-love and self-confidence. It shouldn't stand in controversy to everything he was doing. But let's be honest, who still had a healthy mind nowadays?
No one.
At least not in this town.
"He doesn't want to see you, Taehyung", Jungkook's mother just opened the door and looked at him sadly. "He's crying, he needs some time. Losing his father was more than just losing a parent. He lost his rolemodel, his best friend and probably the reason to live. Don't take it too hard on him but I sometimes hear him talking to himself about how making his father proud is his only life goal." the woman was close to tears just by saying that and grabbed a tissue then.
"Just go home and rest Taehyung. It's been a long day and Kookie needs some time to himself. You'll see him in school tomorrow-", she then said and Tae gave up.
"Fine then", he gulped and just left.

But when it was the next morning Taehyung even got up early and went to school, just to see that there was no Jungkook.
"Where is he?", he asked when he arrived at their lockers where Jennie and Lisa leaned on and stared at boys. "I don't know, he texted me he would come today", Lisa mumbled while showing the others her phone. Taehyung got a bit irritated but stayed silent for now. He should be here by now already.
Impatiently Taehyung started walking up and down the hall and waited for Jungkook to enter the door.
Which wasn't happening at all.
