Quick AN: Sorry that this is coming out so late, I've had a busy day but I'm still gonna get it out there!

Mario was almost giddy with excitement. He had a date with Daveed and he was sure that everything was going to go perfectly... unless the ice mage took his shirt off again. The thought made him blush a little bit.

He was surprised as he heard a knock on the door. His and Daveed's date wasn't until six. Not to mention they were going to meet at the gardens not at his house. Curiously, he went and opened the door to see Jakey, Kay, and Kit standing there.

"What brings you three here?" Mario asked raising an eyebrow.

"We heard that you had a date with Daveed." Kay got straight to the point.

"Yeah so what?" He was genuinely confused.

The three looked at each other before nodding and marching off. Leaving Mario wondering what had just happened.

He got his answer ten minutes later when Daveed came to his house and said. "I've been threatened by three people, can we go now so they won't have finished plotting my murder?"

Mario gaped at him before he started to chuckle. "What did they say?"

"Kit threatened to burn me alive, Kay offered to throw me into a fox den, and Jakey threatened to go back in time and erase me from existence." Daveed told him with a frightened expression on his face.

"... I didn't think they were the overprotective sort. That's my stick." Mario said thoughtfully.

"Marioooooo." Daveed whined and Mario leaned up to kiss his cheek. "I'll protect you from the big bad Protectors, and Kit."

"Thank you." Daveed said in relief.
