Quick AN: Just want to say that this chapter includes an OC! Also this chapter was originally going to be separated into three parts but I decided to put them all together. 

-Kay-

Entering the stronghold's market, Mario started looking around for fresh ingredients for both his meals and his baking when he heard a voice. A voice that did not sound happy. Turning the corner, he saw Kay pressed against a wall by a man who looked to be Mario's age.

"L-Leave me alone! I'm not interested." Kay stuttered.

"But sweetheart, I just want a kis-" He didn't get to finish as he was knocked unconscious by a furious Mario's fist. "When a lady says no, you listen. When you mess with a member of a guild, you'd better be prepared to be threatened by them. But when you mess with her, you'd better believe that I'm knocking you out."

Kay darted over to him and hugged him tight, shedding a few tears of relief. Mario smiled slightly at that as he comforted her. Kay was very appreciative of him then... but wasn't so appreciative when he did the same thing to her boyfriend a month later. Mario could be overprotective.

-Jakey-

Jakey and Bryan were about to go on another date and were just leaving the guest house when they were greeted by Mario.

"O-oh h-hey Mario." Jakey greeted the cavern dragon slayer.

"Heya!" Bryan said cheerfully.

"Where are you to going?" Mario asked, not bothering to say hey. The couple looked at each other, before Jakey told him. "We're just going to the gardens to have a little picnic date."

"You two are dating?" Mario asked flatly.

"Uh huh." Bryan nodded with a fond smile at Jakey, who returned it gladly.

"Hmmm... you'd better take care of him then." Mario said glaring daggers into Bryan.

"Of course." Bryan nodded.

"Oh and if he comes back with anything even resembling a hickey, your guild will be down one fire dragon slayer." Mario added and Bryan paled even as Jakey gaped at him.

"Mario!" He exclaimed.

"I'm serious, I'd better not see evidence of you doing anything farther than simple making out." Mario looked at him pointedly.

"Oh gosh..." Jakey groaned, leaning into Bryan's side. This actually amused Bryan a little, sure he wasn't interested in being dead but it was funny to see that Mario was acting like an older brother to Jakey.

- Kit -

Kit walked into her house only to be surprised as she saw Mario and the guy that she was to go on a date with that night. Sure, she had told the guy, Lux, to come to her house, but why was Mario there?

"What's going on here?" Kit asked putting her hands on her hips.

"Hey Kit!" Lux greeted her, looking relieved.

"We're just having a friendly conversation." Mario told her.

"What do you mean by 'friendly conversation'?" Kit asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"Oh you know the usual, weather, magic, what will happen if he hurts your feelings in any way." Mario said all casual like.

Kit sighed and asked. "Did you give him the big brother talk?"

Mario nodded, making her sigh again. "We'll talk about this later, come on, Lux."

Lux nodded and hurriedly followed her out the door. Mario must have really scared him. Kit gave the dragon slayer a slight glare before exiting the house.
