Mario sighed as he listened to Kit and Kay both complain about another break up they had had. Honestly, the girls had both been trying to date but the relationship usually ended badly or they just didn't have enough in common to keep a relationship going. At this point, it was getting ridiculous. Kit had only had a semi-decent relationship with Lux but they just weren't meant to be.

Hearing the two complain about it was the worst part though. They each had almost the exact same problem when it came to guys. It was annoying and frustrating how similar their problems were. Honestly, it'd be better for them to just date at this point.

That thought stopped him for a moment, and he got an idea that might turn into a good relationship that he could easily accept for his pseudo sisters.

"Honestly, you two should just try dating each other." He decided to be straight forward.

Both girls looked at him in surprise before looking at each other, which caused blushes to form on both of their faces.

"W-why would we get together?" Kay asked looking back at Mario.

"Cause you're both very similar people? Because you'd get along well? Because you're having no luck with guys?" He offered before adding. "Cause then neither of you have to worry about your significant other getting the overprotective big brother speech?"

"... That last one is a very good point." Kit said after a minute.

"W-wait what?" Kay asked surprised, with a small blush on her face.

"Let's try it, at worst, we don't fit in a relationship." Kit told her with a smile.

"O-ok..." Kay said, the blush still on her face. 

"I'll just leave the two of you alone." Mario said with a smirk on his face. 

Kay blushed a darker red even as Kit got a small blush on her face. Mario laughed as a fireball soared past him and stomped it out on his way out, leaving the girls to talk about their new relationship.
