Mario had a very big secret. A secret he had told no one in his guild and likely never would. Especially since the person would never return his feelings. Yes Mario, the grumpiest cavern dragon slayer anyone could ever meet, had a crush. He tried not to show that he had these feelings however as he knew that the person he liked didn't like him back. Of course it was hard.

Especially since his crush had a tendency to strip every once in a while.

He looked down at the table as Daveed came into the guild wearing nothing but boxers once again. Everyone complained while he pretended he didn't even notice it. This unfortunately caught Daveed's attention.

"Wow, usually you'd be complaining the most dragon boy." Daveed teased slyly.

Mario just got up and left without a word which surprised everyone. They expected the grumpiest member to at least make a harsh comment but no, he had just gotten up and left. Daveed was very confused.

After getting some pants on, as ordered by his guild masters, he went out looking for Mario. He wanted to know why the dragon slayer hadn't made any sort of comment and had just left like that.

He searched for a while before finally spotting Mario in his gardens. He would've said something right away if the dragon slayer hadn't been talking to himself.

"Just calm down, its no big deal, you see it all the time... calm down... ugh stupid crush." Mario complained as he set his head in his hands. "Why him? Why of all people do I have to have a crush on Daveed?"

Daveed stopped dead. Mario had a crush on him? He knew he was staring now but he couldn't help it. Never in a thousand years did he ever think that Mario would have a crush on him.

Mario suddenly took a deep breath but stopped almost mid breath. His head snapped up in his direction and he went pale. He could tell that Daveed had heard everything so he turned and ran.

Daveed never did catch up to him...

Quick AN: I know that this isn't everyone's favorite ship. I know that a lot of people still ship Mario x Kay, and I do too but only in OoO. FTO Kaykrae's age in this entire collection of one shots I would place at 15 or 16 so she's a little too young for Mario, they'll have more of a sibling relationship. As for why I paired Mario and Daveed, I've read a couple fanfics where they were shipped in FTO and I think they would be a cute couple in that series based on that, but please don't take any of it too seriously. Also I will say that there are going to be other oneshots in this book that include Mario x Daveed as these oneshots all occur in the same world just at different times and such. If you don't like it, that's fine, but please don't leave hate.
