Everyone knew not approach Mario when he had been drinking for a while. Sure no one had ever seen him be a violent drunk, but they all assumed with his personality, he'd probably cavern dragon roar on anyone who dared come close to him when he was drinking. Which was why Daveed was dreading walking into this particular bar at this particular time.

The guild masters wanted him to take something to old dragon boy asap and it wasn't like he could just refuse. So he walked to the bar, stopping right outside it. With a sigh, he stepped into the bar and to his surprise, it wasn't destroyed and while no one was drinking around Mario, nothing around him seemed to be battered in any way.

He slowly approached the dragon slayer before asking. "Mario?"

Mario turned to him slowly and asked him in a quiet voice that was clearly drunk. "*hic* what do you need *hic* Daveed?"

"Uh the guild masters wanted me to give you this." He handed him the wrapped parcel which Mario took and stuck in his pocket without a fuss. When Daveed turned to leave however, Mario latched onto his arm to prevent him from moving.

"Mario? Let go of me." Daveed complained.

"No." Mario shook his head and used his strength to drag Daveed into the seat next to him.

"Ok question, why?" Daveed asked.

"No one likes to drink with me." Mario whined even as he took another sip and scooted his chair so he could be as close to Daveed as possibly.

"Why are you cuddling up to me?" Daveed demanded to know before the bartender answered for him. "Mario is a very clingy drunk, most people here don't drink with him just because he'll cling to someone until he falls asleep."

"He's the clingy sort of drunk?" Daveed asked both surprised and not from the way that Mario was cuddling him.

"Yes, he'll cuddle up to whoever comes close enough to him." The bartender nodded.

"Weird." Daveed commented before just surrending himself to his fate of being a dragon slayer's teddy bear for the rest of the night.

When they both woke up at the bar the next day, Mario pushed away from him as fast as possible before saying. "You tell anyone about this and I will cavern dragon roar you into next week."

"Don't worry, I really don't want to bring up how we basically cuddled." Daveed told him and he nodded.
